Stock 2 is supposed to unload truck, sort and stage freight, pick and stock vizpicks, then zone with whatever leftover time there is. Every store operates differently. If they tried this at my store it would definitely not work out. Overnights wouldn’t finish their freight ever I work stocking TA 2, I’ve only ever zoned on our audit days. Which was literally once a year. By the Roses Are Violets Are My Base Are Belong To You Hearts Geeky Love Programmer Valentine T-Shirt in other words I will buy this book, cap 1 is supposed to zone in the mornings, cap 2 unloads the truck and stocks hardlines/homelines/seasonal and overnight stocks fresh and grocery. But trust me, I wish we had a group of people to zone too, because stocking 1 never does anything. We call them pluggers because we find their shit all day long and have to fix it. According to process, and from recent Home Office guidelines, Cap 1 is to do absolutely nothing but top stock until the entire store has been done. Then, it’s set up for truck, and then IF we have additional time, zone.

That’s not even the Roses Are Violets Are My Base Are Belong To You Hearts Geeky Love Programmer Valentine T-Shirt in other words I will buy this worst part. We are told that we are to get “quantity over quality.” Meaning we are to “scan and go.” If it doesn’t beep, keep moving…. Stocking team 2 has to work freight cuz overnights can’t do it all…plus half the team is tied up doing the gm truck for 3-4 hours cuz the machine is so broken… When is there time to zone the store? On a rare good day all of stocking 2 is actually zoning simultaneously only during the last hour of the shift…which of course isn’t an hour cuz at 10:50 it’s time to walk to the back to get ready to leave. I get assigned many aisles a night to zone, when I’m the only one in my department and sometimes have to help other departments, and then I get other tasks too. Like last night, it was “fill sidekicks, restock an endcap with product we don’t actually have so actually find something else to put there, fill the hangers from the soda steel ( I’ll never understand why it was there to begin with) to the aisle, zone bedding, towels, and rugs and drops”
