I (20F) live in the Rory Cochrane Dazed And Confused Shirt and I will buy this Waterloo area and was in a relatively good mood on Saturday and bought a homeless man a pack of ready cooked bacon and some deodorant. However, since Saturday, he seems to have told the local homeless population about me and they are all acting quite aggressive towards me and asking me for food and money too. I was shouted at up the street by one of them calling me ‘heartless’ for not giving him anything. I’d like to help but I’m a student and need the money to look after myself. The guy I originally gave the stuff too, who is at least 30 years older than me, keeps making comments on my appearance and blew a kiss at me before, which has made me even more uncomfortable. I’m from Liverpool originally and I never had this issue with the homeless I’d sometimes help there, so does anyone have any advice on how to go forward. They sit outside the Tesco and sainsburys opposite the entrance to the jubilee line and I do quite a bit of shopping there. I’m autistic too so social situations aren’t my strong point, so any advice would be appreciated!

EDIT: thank you for all your comments, I’d like to reply to all of them but I didn’t expect this response! I move out of London at the Rory Cochrane Dazed And Confused Shirt and I will buy this start of July anyway so I haven’t got that much longer left. I’m going to shop at different shops like a lot of you have suggested and avoid the area as much as possible (which is going to be hard since it’s Waterloo road). I don’t think they are bad people on purpose and I can’t imagine what they’re going through, but again I have to prioritise my own safety and well-being too. My lesson is learnt though- give to charities, not to individuals!A lot of the homeless that hang around outside that Tesco/Sainsbury are druggies, and best avoided. Yes. Contrary to what some people might see, there is a lot of help for homeless people. The ones you see outside either aren’t really homeless or have been refused/they themselves refuse help because of drugs, alcohol or the like. Shelters will absolutely not tolerate the latter which is perfectly justified imo.
