So you can’t press charges against someone as a citizen of Ontario? The “CROWN”(state) decides if it’s IN THE INTEREST OF JUSTICE to pursue? Wtf kind of lawless land is this? First, why would you just let him use you like a punching bag? You don’t know his intentions… could have stabbed you, etc. Second, it might have been his pad. She just lied to you… you were banging his girl on his bed! Yeah, I would have clocked both of you and kicked you both out. Hell yes you should go to the Rolfe community school alumni shirt Besides,I will do this police and hopefully press assault charges. That will really mess up his life a lot more than what he did to you. I got punched in the face by some idiot I didn’t know leaving a party when I was younger. No reason for it. Didn’t know the guy. I found out his name and went to the police. I had a witness who wrote out a statement. The police pressed assault charges on him. It messed up his university admission which was in the US. Not only can and should file charges with the police, you can also sue for damages. But of course, be cogniscent of if it’s worth it/if he can pay up. Does anyone know if there’s a Canadian version of the civil court? In the US, we could press criminal charges and also file a civil lawsuit to pay for medical expenses, emotional distress, etc. In the US you don’t press criminal charges either. You file a police report and the DA decides whether to press charges.

Yes, we also have civil court. However here you can only sue and be compensated for real damages (ie medical expenses, legal costs). You won’t get millions like in the Rolfe community school alumni shirt Besides,I will do this US. Yeah but count on the texts not the girl, if this dude felt comfortable enough doing that they got more history your lead on to believe It blows my mind, that a man would want to file charges after getting the beans for sleeping with a girl. You defended yourself and it stopped…. other than a split lip, what’s the damage… hurt ego? No visible damage, so you got slapped a little? Get over it haha. Sounds like you knew about the ‘ex’ and got caught out, good job
