But what will the Retro Drag Racer RC Cars Enthusiast Mini Car Slot Car Racing T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this other middle managers do if they don’t micromanage their teams? Actually look at their work output and recognize what their team is actually doing? Absurd! I don’t get to work from home as often, but when I am able to I get more done in less time. Why? Because there are no distractions that I do not have complete control over. No one stops by to chat, there is no waiting to use the bathroom, there is no waiting to use the printer, there is no having to leave to grab lunch, and if the internet goes down I can fix it, there is no waiting for IT to show up and fix it. It’s not about productivity, it’s about control and appearance. Employers have always been able to monitor work computers. I’d still rather be at home. No commuting, no water cooler chatting, comfy clothes and more time with my family sounds way better than being in a cubicle in an office. btw for anybody wanting to appear ‘active’ on your messaging app – just open a powerpoint and hit present. leave it in presentation mode in the background. problem solved.

I have 6 direct reports that down line into over 100. Who the Retro Drag Racer RC Cars Enthusiast Mini Car Slot Car Racing T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this hell would have the time and energy to track this many people? Luckily I trust people and as long as they get their work done we are good – I don’t care if they play league all Tuesday one week. It’s the same as everything else. The controls are there, just don’t do something stupid enough to make people tell the IT guys to pull this info. This type of stuff absolutely is not the norm everywhere. I manage a team of over 40 employees, the majority of which are WFH. We dont use any of this stuff, why? Because we trust our employees and there are infinitely better ways to judge an employees productivity while WFH then literally keyloggers. And surprise, in our industry people are actually worse WFH. Not sure why, across the board over 16 teams, and hundreds of employees, output dropped nearly 20% when they moved to WFH over 1 year compared to the same teams in office. Were some people more productive? Outliers sure, but as an aggregate, teams performed worse. And I can look at other metrics to make that assessment then having to know that Johnny played Halo Infinity for 2 hours today on his lunch break.
