These are highly unlikely to happen… but I’m not gonna risk it. Plus not really interested in being a parent anyway. That specific pitch of scream that rattles something deep in your ears and triggers a biological rage response when it wakes you up is not something I want in my life again lol. I couldn’t sleep well for months after moving out bc I wasn’t used to waking up to anything other than yelling lol. Many reasons: 1. I straight up don’t like kids. 2. I have way too many mental health issues (autism, depression, anxiety, etc.) to be able to take care of a child. 3. It’s way too expensive. I want to spend my free time and money on myself. 4. This world is a complete shitshow.

Hearing a toddler literally screeching in Walmart the Retro chuck norris can punch a cyclops between the eye shirt but in fact I love this other day while the parents just had them sat in the cart further cemented the idea that I don’t want to raise something for 18+ years. Kids are a lifetime of work and worry and I wanted to spend my life doing and experiencing things that I wanted to do. I never had the urge to have kids like lots of women do. There was no clock for me. I’m 52 years old now and still very happy with my decision. I still like kids and love to hold babies, but it’s really nice to give them back when it gets too exhausting, dirty or annoying. Stress, financial responsibility and honestly, I’m selfish. I like the on to go lifestyle and freedom to do what I want. I’ve acknowledged that thus far and a child would not make me happy Freedom. I can do what I want without worrying about how it will affect my child. I can retire earlier, travel more, spend money on myself, etc. I don’t have to worry about if my child will be healthy or have such an issue that will severely decrease both of our quality of life.
