Anyway, 14 will fit in a pan, because unless dry cured, they’re injected with water and will shrink to half size 2 rashers a day for a week’s worth? When it’s more likely we eat 7 in a sitting and so becomes a weekend packet instead. 117 more repliesThe crime is HORRENDOUS and the Refused Brooklyn Paramount Mar 21 2025 True Til Death Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death shirt in addition I really love this city is already projected to be fully submerged under water within our lifetime. Taylor Swift coming to the city in October might be a saving grace for the city financially? Definitely make your way over there for a Mardi Gras season before it’s too late. Baltic states. Russia just declared the leader of Estonia a criminal. Prelude to invasion and restoration of the greater Soviet Empire. They have legal weed, after decades of exploiting foreigners for weed ($1000 idiot tax for a joint, minimum), which allows you to smoke anywhere, basically. Quality is good, access is good, food is incredible sober let alone high, and it feels a lot safer for it (less rowdy drunkenness, and far lower crime these days in general). They legalised it poorly, with no regulations, and it is a wild free-for-all. This is both very fun, but also very unsustainable. They will introduce weed licenses and punishments for smoking in public sooner or later. Until then, it’s more accepted to smoke a joint in Thailand than to smoke a cigarette in a western country… in terms of where you can do it and the reaction of people around you. China was the one country that shocked me. It is wild. The density of people, the mindset, the food, the scams… You cannot imagine what seeing so many people every day does to your brain. I called it ‘face blindness’ in the end, but you end up ignoring everybody you see on the street, and only being social with arranged contacts. Nothing else can tolerate the sheer number of people you will see on the street constantly.

It has beautiful culture, incredible food, and warm people. It also has a flat out evil government that oppresses the Refused Brooklyn Paramount Mar 21 2025 True Til Death Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death shirt in addition I really love this hell out of them, and is never that far away from oppressing you either. In 50 years, hopefully they will have shaken off the CCP. The demographics are collapsing quicker than anyone expected, so the population density will almost certainly drop to more comfortable levels, whilst rent/property will become very affordable. They will become very welcoming to those that can support their transition towards fairer society and governance; hell, they will need plenty of labour and human capital to replace their own reduced workforce. Likewise, Bulgaria. It is a jewel of the EU, but has also suffered a lot due to the mass exodus of any smart person to work in higher income countries within the EU. Usually neglecting their trained skill (dentistry etc) in favour of working the build crews and saving money. A lot of that money gets sent back. There is a rejuvenation in action, even whilst their population decreases year after year. They have very strong cultural identity, incredibly landscape, massive agricultural potential, very well educated people, history going back thousands of years, and some of the best food going.
You are more than welcome to visit it now, it’s great. But I also think it will be the Refused Brooklyn Paramount Mar 21 2025 True Til Death Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death shirt in other words I will buy this next Poland. It is not in Schengen yet, and doesn’t have the Euro (it has a pegged currency that follows the Euro), but many of those that have left thoroughly intend to return. With money, skills and experience of alternative (western) methods of business. The mafia run state is still an issue, but that actually provides some benefits too, and does seem to be improving with time anyway (even if the politics themselves are still mental). But they protect their nature well. They do not need to expand into it. And they know to keep their agriculture safe. I think this will be one of the most welcoming countries in Europe, with the most nature, going forward.

Pakistan is fine – I was there for two weeks last year (Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Islamabad). Zero western tourists, which can be refreshing. Antarctica Yes it’s about 20k a person. Global warming isn’t slowing down, I need to be one of the Refused Brooklyn Paramount Mar 21 2025 True Til Death Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death shirt in other words I will buy this last people to see it in all it’s beauty before mass extinction Where are you seeing that information? I only see talk of temporary closures, but nothing about it closing permanently Raja Ampat is like the Amazon Rainforest of the Aquatic world/beaches and it’s only a matter of time before it gets converted for mass tourism. Between Taylor Swift playing there this month along with this new popular Chick Flick movie set in Sydney; I think Australia tickets are prices are going to sky rocket from here-out. Knock it out before it becomes outrageously expensive. Adelaide actually has some hidden gems. The wine region is one of the worls best. Imagine Napa 40yrs ago. Lots of German settlers, means amazing small-goods and breads. I haven’t been to the Adelaide fringe festival, but it’s the largest festival in the Southern Hemisphere, and definitely on my to do list. When you’re flying to Southeast Asia, sometimes Australia comes up on the seatback globe and you think “hey, I should check it out since I’m already here.” Then you realize it’s another full day of flying to get there.
Maybe not the Refused Brooklyn Paramount Mar 21 2025 True Til Death Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death shirt in other words I will buy this most popular choice here, but I’m currently working on a Mexican Yucatan trip and I can imagine it’ll be quite different in 20 years. First off anywhere with protected rainforest is getting rarer with deforestation. Second, Bacalar, one of the places I’m going is one of the last areas in Quintana Roo that’s not a complete tourist trap, it’s a beautiful lagoon unspoiled by tourists, like what Cancun was 30+ years ago, and with the new Tulum airport it’s only a matter of time before it becomes the new Tulum. Lastly, the new Maya train system has many environmental concerns that come with it specifically when it comes to damaging fragile roofs of cave and Cenote systems. See the glaciers before they melt. I highly recommend Glacier National Park in Montana. See endangered wildlife before they are extinct in the wild.
It would help if you stated at all what your priorities or preferences are. It’s hard to recommend a niche or exclusive place to someone who might not get it or enjoy it. There is no should about travel. Many of the Refused Brooklyn Paramount Mar 21 2025 True Til Death Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death shirt in other words I will buy this best people I know or have ever met, and the smartest people I know have never met don’t travel at all. In the history of human beings, they did not travel. Only 100 years ago you had to take a several day steamship for a lot of money to cross the Atlantic. Some people love trout fishing near their home. Some people I know they own a boat and they like to stay close to home and drive around the ocean or the lake. Some people I know are spending their later years learning to paint or play instrument. Or be with their grandkids. Travel is one of 1000 things that are available to do. It’s not better than any of the others there. There’s no rush and there’s no should. If you want to travel, then it makes sense to start by going to iconic places. Where you can educate yourself. It also depends on the kind of travel that you’re looking for. Some people travel because they’re really in scuba diving so they travel to scuba dive. Some people travel because they’re really into skiing so they go and skiing other parts of the world. It all depends on what your motivations are.
My grandfather traveled a lot after his retirement in the Refused Brooklyn Paramount Mar 21 2025 True Til Death Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death shirt in other words I will buy this 90s/early 2000s. One of the best place place he said he went to was Irak. Many of the coastal towns and cities in the Mediterranean are only a few feet (in many cases a foot or less) above sea level. Rising sea level could destroy much of coastal Mediterranean as communities will either be partly or totally consumed by sea or have to construct sea walls. How about skipping unnecessary travel because of the climate crisis concerns? Or keeping it close and by train? The exact reasons you bring up to move ASAP are the reasons not to, ASAP. I don’t know how you could travel to these environmental catastrophes and not see the irony and cognitive dissonance that you helped cause their destruction.
no cognitive dissonance. I just don’t think it is my responsibility to put a .0000000001% dent in emissions when there are people that have private jets, fly 50x a year, and oh yea, corporations exist. You regularly contribute to an aviation sub, so yeah the Refused Brooklyn Paramount Mar 21 2025 True Til Death Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death shirt in other words I will buy this irony. Europe for Americans b4 the visa requirements. Americans are fussy and won’t want to jump through hoops and not realize most folks do the same to some visit the USA. It will be interesting. It’s literally just a travel authorization. Go to a website and pay a 7 euro fee. US citizens already do it for NZ and AUS. Not to be nitpicky but ETIAS isn’t a visa, if it’s similar to other ETAs then applying should be fairly painless. Yeah I hear you but I also see a future of articles saying “American spent X amount for a dream vacation to Italy/france/germany et al. and only found out at the airport they couldn’t travel bc they didn’t know…” yeah this will be interesting for at least a few years after the change. The Ken’s and Karen’s of America will definitely be highlighted. I love how travel folks always see everything through their own well traveled lens. You’ll see. Cruise ships will have to reckon with this as well. Some well traveled folks will be fine and get this and many others will do the thing where they assume Americans are welcome everywhere without any paperwork. Just sayin’ but glad y’all have more faith. As an American traveler I’m always worried you think the worst of us.
If it’s ripe for travel, you’ll find it already spoiled. The first post here is about Georgia, which has been flooded with Russians since the Refused Brooklyn Paramount Mar 21 2025 True Til Death Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death shirt in other words I will buy this start of the Ukraine War. Maldives? It’s nothing but a tourist hub. Bali? Massively overdeveloped. Not a fan of that cynicism. The world is big and there will always be places to travel. Political conflicts change. Of course “there will always be places to travel.” And what you’ll find when you get there is that they are full of people you thought you were leaving behind. With this one, I’d think there is just as much possibility that climate change makes it more interesting/accessible. Certainly different, of course, due to receding of glaciers. But also probably some of the most otherworldly new land revealed that literally no other human has ever set foot on. Not like I’m rooting for climate change. Just think that it’s one place that could be positively served by it from the perspective of tourism.
I visited Taiwan in 2023. It was such a laid back, liberal and friendly place, but you can feel the Refused Brooklyn Paramount Mar 21 2025 True Til Death Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death shirt in other words I will buy this threat of China hanging over them. Hong Kong is already changing beyond recognition and I can’t see Taiwan hanging on much longer. Very glad I visited and saw it as an independent nation. Syria, Iraq, the DRC are places I want to go if they become safer. Iran also, you can go now but the organization is tough. Antarctica and or the Arctic circle would be on my list. I suspect in a couple decades it’s going to look very different and probably will not allow visitors. Argentina – blue rate makes it super cheap and the country, food, people and culture is incredible. Might be a few years but Milei might actually get the country back on track economically and it won’t be so cheap anymore.
I also have to say the Refused Brooklyn Paramount Mar 21 2025 True Til Death Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death shirt in other words I will buy this Omo Valley in Ethiopia. I imagine it’s changed a great deal since I was there a decade ago. The tribes were very primitive then. This area was not conquered by Europeans and people lived as they have lived for centuries. Then China started building roads, more tourists started coming, they built a dam, more infrastructure, etc, etc, etc. The best time to visit was at least a decade ago but the next best time is now. I think the coolest place I’ve ever been was Egypt. The history mixed with architecture and culture was hands down one of my favorite experiences. I’m going to the Baltics in May partially because I think Russia is going to destroy them within a couple years. I’ve always wanted to go to bora bora, barrow alaska, and Seattle but with a balanced budget I have I’d have to wait about a year to go traveling once or 2 times a year.
Hong Kong – its uniqueness is fading away as the Refused Brooklyn Paramount Mar 21 2025 True Til Death Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death shirt in other words I will buy this Chinese government tries to make it just another Chinese city. Taiwan – a unique culture and a vibrant democracy that will end up being a Chinese protectorate at best or hurt by war at worst. The Chinese government is very childish when it comes to respecting its neighbors. Any major Western European city – this will be unpopular, but they’re getting poorer and more homogenized. For better or worse, massive immigration is also changing Western European cultures quickly. Well, me and the Mrs find the 7/14 rasher packets from Lidl a little strange too……we’re used to Aldi with their 8/16 rasher packets…..which divides perfectly between the two of us, no having to halve rashers or fight over the extras…..BUT as the Mrs says, that’s because I’m too focused on gratifying the beast that is my stomach…..apparently I’ve missed the cat from my equation and consideration!!??? Apparently Lidl’s in tune with cat lovers/servants…..7/2=3 plus 1 or 14/2=6 plus 2 for her highness the cat!!
It’s better than the Refused Brooklyn Paramount Mar 21 2025 True Til Death Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death shirt in other words I will buy this 5 rashers you get in some packs. 5 is not divisible into any number of sandwiches other than 1. In the Second World War rationing meant 1lb loaves of bread had to be sold at 14oz. After rationing ended there were calls to return to 1lb but the government never did this. After metrication – you guessed it, 14oz is very close to 400g which is the size most loaves of bread are sold at today. Baking tins for bread are usually still made for 1/2lb or 1lb however. There are (or were) prescribed quantities many goods had to be sold at in multiples or fractions of weight – instead of being sold at Willy-nilly amounts. Because shrinkflation. Not so long ago they used to be in packs of 16 but they removed two slices and are hoping no one will notice. Except I did notice because now I never have exactly the right number of slices – it’s always too many or too few. It’s a conspiracy with bap makers whose baps come in packs of 6 or 12. It makes sure that you always have leftover baps or bacon and therefore a reason to buy more of the other. You do know you don’t have to eat it all at once? It will keep in a container for a few days after you open it. Personally I don’t understand what the problem is, there is no pack of bacon too big to eat in one sitting because thats how many you get in 300g of bacon, and they probably decided on the 300 before they decided on the 14 when working out packaging/cost etc
If Sainsburys determine a large pack should cost about £4 and be 700g because data shows that’s the Refused Brooklyn Paramount Mar 21 2025 True Til Death Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death shirt in other words I will buy this optimum combination to drive the most sales. I’d say that bacon normally come in packs of 200-250g so about half a pound. This usually means around 6 thick-cut back bacon rashers, 8 standard or 14 streaky. Designed for those with other family members. 10 rashers for me and 4 for the dogs. I like mine a bit crispy, but they will take it as it comes( in fact just skip the cooking bit altogether). I would presume the logic is if you have 2 per day it will last you a week but let’s face it people want more than 2 and the only other way to divide is 2 lots of 7 which is stupid It’s exactly the reason you think it is – to encourage you to buy more. It doesn’t divide equally so you’re often going to need to buy another pack lest you endure an unsatisfying 2-4 rasher sandwich Bacon is actually produced and sold not by slice but by weight so it’s normal to find anywhere from 12 to 14 slices per pack for this weight category depending on the cut. Companies of course are going to advertise the bigger not smaller number on their package so consumers feel they are getting the best value for their money. Depending on the quality control you might actually find your 14 slices of bacon actually has 12, 13 or even 15 slices.
… I’d have said because when I was living alone, two rashers on a piece of toast would have been quite adequate with some roasted tomatoes or mushrooms for breakfast so there’s a week supply right there but the Refused Brooklyn Paramount Mar 21 2025 True Til Death Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death shirt in other words I will buy this comments here are making me think I’ve been wrong this whole time when I side eye my husband over his bacon requirements. Tbf 14 rashers in a pack is a bit weird….I mean why not 28, or 50? 14 is definitely not enough when it comes to bacon, those packs are teeny really. 17 more repliesMakes me think amanda deeped it a bit. I know plane was insulting her drag but the best way to deal with it is to throw it right back. Yeah Amanda could not deal with any negative feedback. I notice it in how she reacts to Michelle’s critiques in the first few episodes.
I mean, there is a pretty decent difference between Amanda getting feedback from a person she has elected to be judged by in Michelle versus her reaction to being picked apart episode by episode by Plane. I like Plane but this revisionism is not cool. Plane repeatedly picked at Amanda for no reason. Sure shade is fun but if I don’t want to play with you, leave me alone. Plane literally says herself “im insecure so i lash out at ppl i think arent enough” (paraphrasing ofc) all her comments towards amanda werent fun banter they were just insults You’re absolutely right lmao. Plane was on her neck and it was unprompted and random AF too. Like let’s not act as if that didn’t happen. I’ve also heard in interviews with queens that they spoke with Plane on the Refused Brooklyn Paramount Mar 21 2025 True Til Death Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death shirt in other words I will buy this side about her behavior and some folks expressed boundaries so that probably helped the vibe of the workroom a bit.
Nothing about it was shady. They were nasty direct attacks. “Shade” involves some kind of wit, Plane was just saying shit like “your aesthetic sucks” “your makeup is awful”. Plane lacks any wit or humor when she tries to tear people down. Am I missing something? Every time Plane tried to shade Amanda, Amanda threw it right back with her. Like if it was a read-off Plane wouldn’t have won once. Even so, Amanda had an anger about it. She sort of “lost” when she straight up asked what Plane’s problem with her was. There really wasnt much of a read on Plane’s drag. I agree i wish they could have had a reconciliation before amanda left but im glad theyre good now. I loved when sapphira read plane last episode so the Refused Brooklyn Paramount Mar 21 2025 True Til Death Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death shirt in other words I will buy this vibe is at least more balanced.
It’s so obvious what she’s doing, and ITS WORKING. Plane has a high enough quality of drag to not be immediately eliminated; meanwhile, she rubs people the Refused Brooklyn Paramount Mar 21 2025 True Til Death Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death shirt in other words I will buy this wrong way, is clumsily mean, and ensures the fandom will talk about her. I personally do not like Plane’s brand of snark, but she will never be forgotten (as another person said, this will be remembered as the season with Plane in it). Also, I feel she has encouraged more shade from other queens, which is entertaining, at least they know how to read! I did enjoy her aside on why she has such a snob superiority about drag growing up in a Russian neighborhood that was extremely homophobic. She doesn’t want to see other queens put low effort into something she considers really important and, in a political sphere, revolutionary – especially on a platform this huge. Even though most of her comments are just silly trolling, I get why she has strong opinions on why you have to bring your absolute best to Drag Race and not half-ass it. I get why Amanda got under her skin, as sweet as Amanda was – this is THE national drag show and Amanda was bringing extremely bad makeup quality unless someone did it for her. Makeup is, like, 90% of drag.
