Don’t tie yourself down to someone who respects you so little that they will not even try to not make your life worse. Dude. It sounds like you dodged a bullet to me. Won’t clean up after himself and refuses to cook? My husband couldn’t/didn’t try to cook before we got serious but with some effort and YouTube, he makes great meals. I have some trouble poaching eggs but not so much that I need to give up, burn them somehow, and go lie down. Nah you weren’t too harsh. Maybe he’ll get his shit together before being an embarrassment in his next relationship. This guy is literally my dad. Can’t cook, can’t do domestic chores, can’t feed or look after us when we were kids without her around, and refuses to learn any of it. It wasn’t like he worked long hours too so that’s really not an excuse. When my mum was sick in bed, we would all eat biscuits since he couldn’t even cook instant noodles.
