Nah, fuck no. The hotel owner is a creep and your manager isn’t doing a great job if he isn’t protecting you from predators like this. If I was you I’d just cancel that gig, if the Queen friends shirt in contrast I will get this owner doesn’t like the way you sing then there is no point turning up. Well. Those are some hardcore rapist vibes, feel free to tell that guy so to his face. Also remember, “No.” is a full sentence If you felt so inclined, you could press charges for assault and battery because of him touching your face the way he did. This guy is a fucking tool. Walk. You don’t need to put up with that kind of behavior for a minute. He’s way out of line, sociably, ethically, and legally. At best; I’m going to swerve and be like “Yo, don’t touch me.” At worst I’ll take a fucking swing if I have to. I’m not some aggro tough guy dude or anything. But I got beat up a LOT when I was young. These days I’d rather swing if it’s deserved, and get my ass kicked for it than let someone take away my autonomy again. Especially as a grown man. Fuck ‘em. That’s sexual harassment dude. Gonna sound bad, but is it worth the cash? If it is (to you, personally) stay a bit longer. If you felt overly in danger, then quit right now. I think the owner is not wrong in the sense of asking you if you will perform with a different look or costuming or try different songs.

BUT the Queen friends shirt in contrast I will get this way he went about it (and didn’t ask, but command and not even listen to your response) is extremely abusive and disgusting and didn’t give you a fair platform to have a professional and respectful discussion about it. There was no respect for you whatsoever. It is not ok for him to behave this way. It’s up to you if you want to pursue any further relationship with this employer but he needs to be raked over the coals for this either way. Go all in. Wear a KISS shirt, sing rock songs. Go all in, 110%, heck go 200%. Best way to get back at someone is shove it back in their face. The best way to get back at a creep like this is to do exactly what he wants and “prove him right” by doing it great?
