Why play scales at the Property of Indianapolis Colts High School T-Shirt besides I will buy this piano, why do rote repetitions of sports exercises? The student does not like them but they build skills that will serve them. Later, you start to enjoy these exercises as you know they improve some skills you need. However, all the meditation traditions have clear goals on what to achieve with their meditation. An example is metta (loving-kindness) meditation. It is obvious what its aims are, but that goes for any kind of meditation. Many traditions even have a graduated path of milestones you can achieve so you can gauge where you are at and apply the necessary tools to reach further. The outcomes, or what people think meditation will give them, is often a good hook or good motivation to start the habit 😉 Nothing. Don’t do meditation for the outcomes, do it for the doing it. This kind of thinking is called striving and will only work against a healthy meditation practice. Also I call BS.

You can find that information on the Property of Indianapolis Colts High School T-Shirt besides I will buy this package label. Should be in the “striving” section. If not there, check “BS.” I like/agree with all these comments. I’m like 2 months into yoga; just 1 month in class. I’ve been meditating longer (~6-months), beginning with YouTube’s ‘Michelle’s Sanctuary,’ then other’s YT offerings. I’ve recently purchased the ‘Aura’ and ‘Endel’ apps. Without knowledge of all above mentioned (Hindu/Sanskrit) ‘yoga jargon’ I’ve definitely experienced all above mentioned benefits! Michelle’s Sleep Stories sort of ‘cracked open my shell,’ as it were, after a horrible auto crash by both soothing me into sleeping easier then comforting my mind/heart AFTER I awoke. Her stories actually accomplished me meditating without me ever realizing it! Of course, I also discovered her ‘Meditations’ channel and must highly recommend those too. As my health improved, largely by better sleep and weight loss, yoga became an organic gradual endeavor. I now feel my true personality restored as if 20-30-years were ‘erased,’ as bad thinking habits clouded my consciousness that long.
