I wouldn’t be that surprised. I actually switched from iPhone to Samsung (S22 Ultra) last last year. I really liked it at first, but now that I’m over 6 months in, I’d rather have the Pretend I Am A Jewel Beetle Buprestidae Bugs T-Shirt and I love this iPhone. This phone looks beat to hell, has random software issues occasionally, and just doesn’t seem as reliable as my iPhone. I’ll miss the customization, but I’ll be switching back when I decide to buy another phone. Android phones getting bogged down after a few months of usage is something most folks want to deny exists but it’s out there. My Pixel 5 gets less support than the 5a does. It’s total bull shit that for a solid 3 months it would not do an OS update, it kept saying to restart my phone. Their support told me to do a factory reset. If you are going to make me do a reset then I’m just going to switch. Not ok Google. Also while you are at it, can you stop making my car get sms notifications that were sent years ago? Still on my Note 9 nearly 4 years later. Battery life got noticably worse after one major OS update but is still great 4 years later. No noticable declines in loading times. No complaints!

I’ve been using a Samsung for the Pretend I Am A Jewel Beetle Buprestidae Bugs T-Shirt and I love this last 4 years, haven’t got the S22, but have the S21, and i’m not sure what’s getting bogged down? I think people are stuck on impressions of old Android. The new builds keep things from needlessly running in the background, and will disable permissions or “deep sleep” apps you haven’t used in a long time. Plus it’s much easier to disable bloatware now (long-press an app, hit app info, hit disable at the bottom and click OK). It’s actually harder to re-enable built in apps you don’t want than to remove them from your app drawer. “bogged down”? My android is 4 years old and while OnePlus has taken a questionable approach with their update QA my phone is not “bogged down”. People load up their phone with 900 garbage apps and give them all full permissions to whatever it asked for but yeah its “androids getting bogged down”. You should see my MIL’s iPhone if you want to see “bogged down” ?
