Do you get crucified for saying this movie is boring as hell? Visually great, story wise very uninspired, almost a spoof. I give this a 6/10. Not even sure I’d call it good. It’s just…there. There were about 5 times when I thought the movie was ending. The only actor who really stood out to me was Paul Dano as The Riddler. John Turturro was an inspired choice as Falcone and did the best he could, but the writing did him no favors. Robert Pattinson was OK, but way too much brooding and staring. I felt like he was trying too hard to be sad. Batman was way more verbose than Bruce. Zoe Kravitz was so so as Catwoman, really didn’t leave much of an impression. Surprisingly, I wasn’t as enamored with Colin Farrell as Penguin as I expected. He was moderately funny, but not really memorable. The riddle stuff was intriguing at first, but got annoying as the film wore on. There were some confusing moments, a couple involving Penguin. I don’t get why he 1) drove away from Batman and Company when Penguin had guys with machine guns and 2) or shot Falcone. Selina just kind of roamed around aimlessly for the film and popped up when the plot “needed” her to show up.
