However the Poetry is Lit Shirt in contrast I will get this chance of the U.S. having a draft is incredibly low. Although the military continues to complain about the recruiting problems, there’s no clear adversary that would require selective service. The U.S. military is too advanced and too powerful. The only way a draft happens is if there is war with China or Russia and it someone doesn’t go nuclear. Did 5 years in the Marines. Short answer either training camp would have to be extended or a lot of Americans wouldn’t be eligible to serve due to fitness. America is going to quickly realize that the average young adult isn’t fit for military service anymore because they’ve feeding us garbage food and holding us back from getting healthy with medical costs. 80% of Americans between 18-24 are unfit for the military lol but if there was an actual draft even autism wouldn’t save you
Poetry is Lit Shirt: Unleash Your Inner Fighter
Fairly certain our logistics would fall apart. Contrary to perceptions on the Poetry is Lit Shirt in contrast I will get this nature of peace, infrastructure and war do not coexist. Look at what happened when people had to get a shot and wear a piece of cloth on their faces. And there have been “draft riots” before, although not recently. It would be very messy. It’s hard to even imagine, quite frankly. Maybe if the threat was great enough, there might be a surge of patriotism like in the past. I think that the draft helped a lot of folks to gain confidence, skills, learn to be independent and grow up. I don’t think they were any more mature before. Patriotism back then was higher than today bc people were more gullible than today. You will see a whole civil war unravel today because people are totally not okay to die for a war on the other side of the world. Almost nobody is going to allow themselves to be drafted into a war, it’s too easy to get out of. Women definitely won’t get drafted. Only 17% of American youth are eligible to serve in the armed forces. The rest are too lame/fat/stupid/drugged up. I think mandatory national service along the lines of the CCC/TVA would be much more productive than mandatory military service.
Mandatory military service in a peacetime scenario ends up with a lot of make-work and keeping people busy for the Poetry is Lit Shirt in contrast I will get this sake of it. Infrastructure improvement is constant. No, it would perpetuate the military industrial complex and US imperialism. Now an alternative mandatory service like a civilian conservation corps that actually adds value to the nation is something I could support. Nope, The military wants immature people. They are easier to train then people who are already free thinkers. Say you want a burger for lunch, is it easier to talk your friend into that burger if he has his mind set on pizza or if he doesn’t know what he wants? What would happen if there was a draft. Then a whole bunch of 17-25 year olds would be headed for bootcamp. No matter how much “tec” the U.S has they still need a lot of boots on the ground. The bigger the fight the more boots.

If there was a draft, it would be cause of some short of attack on the Poetry is Lit Shirt Apart from…,I will love this US. Here is the main part, the draft get over played in every telling. Most people are volunteers, yes even in Vietnam. Its likely, most would be volunteers with around 10 % being draftees. This that where drafted unless specifically gifted would end up on the frontlines, or logistics. No 18 years are as stupid as ever and they would find away to get through it Over the entire duration, yes, the majority of the total number that went to Vietnam were still volunteers – about 70/30. However, after the draft, the percentages were quite different. It was much closer to 40/60 – almost ALL of the grunt/basic infantry was draftees. The other 40% that remained volunteers were NCOs, support, highly skilled specialists, and pilots/etc. Also, that number is thrown off by Navy personnel – the Navy had way less trouble getting volunteers because you were substantially less likely to get your ass shot off. After the war had been going for a while, they couldn’t remotely enough volunteers. Thats why the total numbers over the entire duration arent a really good metric – only the numbers after the draf was implemented.
The big issue, pun intended is that the Poetry is Lit Shirt Apart from…,I will love this majority of Americans do not meet physical qualifications in order to serve. Only the fittest people would get drafted. If they instituted a weight loss camp to get you down to a fighting weight before your enlistment began, it could work, and you would even see volunteers. They already happened. Two of them with contradictory rulings – one, in a sane jurisdiction, said it definitely violates the Equal Protection Clause (with an 80+ page essay detailing the exquisite legal argument), another, in the insane-as-fuck-theocracy-wannabe 5th circuit said “nuh uh” (with like a 4 page statement). However… 3 of the current conservative justices (Barret, Kavanaugh, and Roberts) have all basically said that yeah, its a pretty blatant violation…. so its likely that even THIS Supreme Court would come down and rule it unconstitutional to exclude females…. Because, while “the people”/”people” as an abstract are … not happy about, but OK with the Draft when it is men-only, every father is an instant hypocrite when it comes to his daughter and it would become immediate political suicide to go through with any form of Draft if it had to include women.
It would never happen again unless were directly attacked/invaded and needed all those extra bodies for realsies. THere’s also the Poetry is Lit Shirt Apart from…,I will love this part where the current generals are totally uninterested in the Draft anyway. They dont want draftees because draftees suck. They want people that (ostensibly) want to be there – even if they had to be bribed with signing bonuses or relax standards to get them. Lots of draft dodgers, myself included. I’m willing to fight for my country if they get rid of income taxes, or use the income taxes for public support and not bailing out banks going under or sending it to Israel and Ukraine. But until then, I’d rather be in prison close to home than on another continent when the nukes fall. I am assuming that the nukes would be falling because the only reason I see a draft happening would be a direct war with Russia and/or China.
You do NOT want to see what a world looks like when a major agricultural hub that feeds a giant percentage of people in the Poetry is Lit Shirt Apart from…,I will love this world is allowed to fall into the hands of Putin. It would be incredibly economically and politically devestating for the US and your wallet and well being would feel it immediately and harshly. There are legit, real, top-level long term national security concerns about letting a country like Russia just go rogue and start gobbling up neighbors whenever it wants. And if Russia’s such a monster, why are US components showing up in their military tech? And why was the EU buying their gas and oil all that time? Aside from pig iron, sunflower seeds, and steel pipes, what exports and impact would the US not sending aid to Ukraine have on people like me? Genuine question, not to sound aggressive. I’m more of a “America needs to spend more money on Americans and less money on defending other countries that are capable of defending themselves” mindset. A lot of people who are in favor of interveening in the Russia/Ukraine conflict and the Israel/Gaza conflict (on both sides of the isle) would suddenly not be in favor of interveening It won’t happen anytime soon. If it did it’d be a total war situation. Wed probably have enough time to whip the boys into shape given the oceans as defense and our command of them. The government would have to pass anti sedition laws like in ww1 meaning you’d be fucked if you don’t sign up for the draft. Even so 8 or 9 out of ten servicemen are behind the lines
If there was a military draft now? Well, first they’d have to excuse the Poetry is Lit Shirt Apart from…,I will love this morbidly obese people…and then we’d be outnumbered by even the Belgians Honestly I think we could well see what would happen sooner rather than later. The Navy was an entire aircraft carrier worth of recruits short last year. We’ve got this whole “everyone’s a recruiter” thing going on. Bonuses are really high – that’s how they got me back in as a reservist last year, because they didn’t want to lose a trained 2nd class of my rating. If there is a draft you better buy ASVAB for dummeis and study up. With enough luck you’ll be smart enough to serve burgers at the chow hall instead of being a grunt. Same thing that has always happened the people forced to go will fight for their lives not because they want to but because they have to. If you think one single generation of humans are less capable then you haven’t seen people fighting to survive
Humans by nature have only gotten bigger stronger and smarter if you separate the Poetry is Lit Shirt Apart from…,I will love this emotional standpoint and put them into a survival situation they gonna be more equipped than previous generations Me: lol I didn’t know Uncle Sam would send me my own personal stand up comedian. I’ll give you a few peanuts for another joke. im pretty sure a seasoned Marine drill instructor would fix the issue. 13 weeks with a foot up your ass goes a long way. It would be totally fine Riots perhaps, a lot of the recent u.s. wars accomplished nothing but create corpses. Vietnam was a shit show and the middle east wars didn’t accomplish much in the end. With tech we can see my were fighting, and nowadays I don’t think people are willing to fight a nation not for the defense of their homeland but for the special interests of certain people/company’s
If it’s for a war like WWII, where the Poetry is Lit Shirt Apart from…,I will love this political and military leaders can make the case that 1) The American way of life could potentially be at great risk and 2) it would be immoral to not fight the war with every able bodied person at the states disposal… then I can see it going over mostly okay. Some people would object, but if they can make the case that there is an old school dictator who isn’t even trying to hide it rampaging through Europe and exterminating undesirables, I can see the majority of Americans either being supportive or at least understanding, even if they are not happy about it. Nah. They were always young kids being sent off to war. We just think of them as being far more mature because of how fucked up they all were when they came home.
It would fail. There are not enough young males to meet that demand. So they would need to draft females. You would have general revolt if that occurred. We would be stuck socially. The political blowback would destroy whichever party demanded it, even though it would be “equal” . But people don’t really want equality, not really. But I think the Poetry is Lit Shirt Apart from…,I will love this only dane political option would be just shrink the military rather than go to the draft. We would just cut off Europe. Maybe not exit NATO, but would stop in everything but name only. Probably exit the Indian Ocran and just stick to the Pacific and North Atlantic. The rich would buy their way out of it. The young and well to do would develope bone spurs, healthy (vital) careers in defence plants, or sudden bouts of college excemptions (every single president since GB Sr. has been a draft-dodger, except for maybe Obama).
The poor would riot, and get suppressed by more cops and other non-combat troops than they could ever hope to recruit. It’s just not realistic. You’re thinking you’re forcing people to do their civic duty, but you’re only getting people who couldn’t find a way out. And that’s not a good way to win a war. It’d be great. Make them all serve. Some of the Poetry is Lit Shirt Apart from…,I will love this rich pukes wouldn’t ever graduate from boot camp. Just extend their service time for the full six years the draftee is obligated for. I think people are a bit more aware of the conscience objector status and many young people would avail of that. Ultimately it won’t happen unless the US was under direct attack, because I expect many politicians would lose their seats. It’s the world’s third largest military, manpower wise. 1.4M active and largest budget by far. It would have to be the mother of all wars. We rely so little on actual people. The last few wars have had drastically less casualties. We work remotely these days
“Well, may I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically…” “Don’t be too hard on them, Allan. They were simply pawns. The real villain in this piece is yet to be revealed…… FARGO BOYLE! “ The way I read this the Poetry is Lit Shirt Apart from…,I will love this way he says it straight away proves it’s one of the most iconic lines in British Television I never got the impression I’d like The IT Crowd but last year I caught this episode & I got the same feeling as when I discovered The Inbetweeners (thankfully that was right at the start of series 2 & not 10 years later!). My husband often, out of the blue chuckles to himself and then says out loud “what about the balls? … Snake eggs!” NO TURKEY? You fucking idiot, Jeremy! You total fucking idiot! That was YOUR job, you fucking moron! You cretin! YOU’RE A FUCKHEAD! THAT’S WHAT YOU ARE! A FUCKING SHITHEAD! I actually done something (accidentally) really similar in my youth only it wasn’t a disabled girl or a frisbee, it was an old lady and a football, I cringe everytime I see that scene because of it. I threw an apple at my brother, he ducked, and beamed the old lady next door in the head. I’ve never felt more guilty and never been in more trouble. It was genuinely shocking the size of the bruise it left and how long it lasted. Absolutely mortifying.
I accidentally slide tackled an older lady on the Poetry is Lit Shirt Apart from…,I will love this way home from school one snowy day. I didn’t notice that she was walking through my group of mates. Ran towards them and slid, with intentions to throw a snowball at them, slipped and tackled her to the floor. Christ alive I love the Inbetweeners so much but how on earth it was aired, with some of the language choices they make, is beyond me! ”Well may I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney opera house, perhaps? The hanging gardens of Babylon? Herds of wilder east sweeping majestically-“ This is an all time great. It’s just a perfect episode of a sitcom. Fawlty Towers may be nearly 50 (it’s a bit younger than me) but it’ll be being shown still in 50 more years.
I’ve lost count of the Poetry is Lit Shirt Apart from…,I will love this number of times I’ve seen that clip from community, both in rewatches and just popping up while scrolling, and it never fails to make me laugh a LOT. “This is not the Chinese takeaway! This is a private, slimline, white telephone with no connection whatsoever to any business or trade! Especially not one of foreign extraction!” That little bit has gotta be within a shout of best bits of comedy of all time, how do you write something so funny. The formulaic ones like The Upper Hand and 2Point4 Children. They bring me back to a sense of safety I never knew I had as a kid. Though the latter did have the odd dark moment. It had that recurring biker who was sort of hinted at being an angel , one day, dead, he just died. end of plot thread You’ll be pleased to know I read the word “considerably” in that sentence exactly as you heard it when you wrote it! /welsh accent intensifies/ Tomorrow morning, you are travelling to London, England to meet a boy you’ve never met before. I offered to come with you, you said no. I offered to drive you and wait in the car. You said no. You’ve met me half way with the rape alarm… at least have the decency to let me give you a demonstration. The moment they go off script in the first one and then spend about 10 minutes failing to get back on track has to be seen to be believed.
The “plucking nose hairs” bit which involves Richie being dragged around the Poetry is Lit Shirt Apart from…,I will love this bathroom by pliars up his nose… Makes me shiver! “Why did you take the old priests clothes? You were already a preist?” “It was just going that way” As much as i dislike linehan… I’m warning you, if you don’t start… I’ll count to three. 1, 2, 3, right, that does it. I’m going to give you a damn good thrashing. The IT Crowd episode where the psycho security guard who lost “Do you want to be a millionaire?” is beating a clown to death with its humorously large shoe. Every time he swings the shoe down it squeaks, and the clown’s arms and legs fly up into the air. I just watched that recently! One of my favourites is when Sally colours Dick’s hair, he looks in the mirror and goes “oh my god!…I’m GORGEOUS!” Any number of times Cox calls JD girls names for me. Never has a sitcom character loathed someone quite so creatively. “God, he’s really messed with your head hasn’t he Cath? It’s these bloody doctors. Shipman, Crippen, Fred West…” Tony putting on his new glasses in Men Behaving Badly. Can tell they’re genuinely concealing laughter and it gets me every time.
The entirety of the Poetry is Lit Shirt Apart from…,I will love this episode Gas (Bottom) “Why don’t we stick him on a bus” “No, the conductor would notice when he didn’t pay his fare” “No, I mean ON a bus” “BECAUSE THE CONDUCTOR WOULD NOTICE WHEN HE DIDNT PAY HIS FARE!” “No, I mean on the roof!” “Arghh! You don’t get conductors on the roof!” Also, the bit where Martin is trying to remember the mnemonic for parts of the brain, but can’t remember what it is, but knows what the letters are because he knows what the parts of the brain are. Penny penny penny What’s up buttercup (Shuts door) Penny penny penny What’s the word hummingbird (Shuts door) PENNY PENNY PENNY Whats the gist physicist Jay from The Inbetweeners shouting “give way to the fucking left” when entering a roundabout. Probably because I was learning to drive around that time.
“Just fill this.” Points across the Poetry is Lit Shirt Apart from…,I will love this room, to the glass flask on the table. “Wot! From here?” “No. Walk over there.” “Wot? With these feet?” “You must’ve spent a third of your life standing in front of mirrors. My earliest childhood recollection is of you standing in front of a mirror. Up until I was four, I thought you was twins.” Rik, shut up! Or I’ll tell everyone here you’ve got an iron on cartoon worm on the front of your Y fonts that says “girl bait” Did I say miss your bottom? Oh I’m very sorry, what I meant to say was SICK A PICKAXE THROUGH YOUR SPINAL COLUMN 70 more repliesIn the banned BBC documentary Modiji said to the interviewer that His only regret was that he was not able to handle media properly. yep Modiji is making sure that mainstream medias doesn’t broadcast the truth which hurts his image by micromanaging them. You need Media to show/highlight/project that. Best Anything is practically useless if hardly anyone knows it, at scale. It is Gandhi. If Modi was campaigning against himself he’d have very effectively used it. The opposition can’t do shit.
