But everyone knows that anything other than the Planned Parenthood Isn’t Killing Children shirt and I love this central belt is wild and all the people are feral beasts who still think the world is flat and dance around naked apart from blue paint! It’s when they charge you extra for being in the Highlands yet send it by royal mail which is the same standard rate. Once had a company try charge extra as the parcel had to travel by ferry or plane to get to the island. They were stumped when I said it would come over the bridge (Skye) by van. Lol. To be fair most couriers just hand it to a local courier when they get to the nearest depot so it could be royal mail. So I get it, we are in the Highlands but we’re not exactly hard to deliver to, there are plenty of roads and civilisation on the way to us, yet we still get treated like we live in the fucking Hebrides or some shit with some online retailers Yeah well that’s it, they obviously went to post it, saw the H&I surcharge and shat it because they hadn’t charged enough postage but wtf is the thought process in sending a letter to the postage address when they had his email address and phone number anyway? Or they could have just cancelled the order and refunded him? Maybe Amazon penalises them for not posting anything or cancelling? If they have to show they posted by x date this would get them proof of postage. Then they can put whatever suits them as the refund reason. Get him to contact Amazon as well as the seller. If this had been needed in a hurry they’ve wasted time rather than sending an email.

Yes, I just posted this above. Their seller score is impacted by them not sending packages on time so they use this to show Amazon they mailed it then refund as a return instead Would it not get dinged much worse when people complain about getting snotty post cards instead of what they have paid for? Yeah I was thinking something like that. Probably something to do with fulfilling orders on time to stay high up on Amazon listing. He’s going to complain to Amazon. This is one of those situations where my wife would quite rightly say I was being petty, but if I got this letter I’d just go right back to Amazon and order another one. Same thing happens in Northern Ireland. I ordered something off eBay and about three weeks later realised it hadn’t arrived. Message the Planned Parenthood Isn’t Killing Children shirt and I love this guy on there and he said ‘can’t send to NI bud’. Well thanks for letting me know, could have messaged me the moment you realised, instead of just sitting with your thumb up your arse until I got in touch. Honestly, this is one of those situations where, as a business you realise you’ve screwed up. So you soak up the surcharge, post the item, then change the shipping setting so that in future this doesn’t happen. OR you could be a dick about it, which is what they’ve decided to do in this case. It’s their mistake, and they’ve taken no responsibility for it. I have a small ebay store, and I shipped an item off to the Czech Republic and the buyer got charged import duty. I thought I filled all the forms in correctly so this shouldn’t have happened. But it did. I could have gone through the rigmarole of trying to find out what went wrong, but figured best to ask them for a copy of the customs receipt, and I refunded them the same amount. I always ask myself, as a customer what would I expect in this situation?
