I’m 24 and four years sober. If I’m being awkward or embarrassing or silly, blame the booze. Everyone is drunk, nobody is judging. It made socializing much easier and lowered my anxiety.

You get to be on a bit of a high horse too. Being sober is like being vegan or doing CrossFit lol. Keeping track of sobriety gives you bragging rights and reaching your goals makes you happy. It’s a huge achievement. Don’t do it buddy. There are zero upsides to drinking. If you want to be more relaxed and know how to talk to people, you just need to practice. Spend money on Toastmasters if you’re nervous talking to people.
