It really affected me deeply, lots of shame. I contacted the Philadelphia Phillies Est 1883 American Flag shirt also I will do this second company (long shot) telling them I was moving on (did not give the reason) and of course there was no place for me there. Lesson, just wait for the second offer before deciding. And words of advice, if one company harps really hard on company culture and how they care for their employees, it may mean they really dont! They may say it because its they cant show it in any other way. I keep this in mind now when apply to companies. Stay away from those that claim they care for their employees!! I just interviewed at one of the largest tech firms in the world, and they said during the interview “We care for our employees” and I was like WTF here we go again. So this time, I asked them, “how do you care?” You know what they said? “We pay our employees on time and we offer medical insurance.” What the fuck? Really? Thats their idea of caring? Ooooo kay. So they pay us on time. Nice. Thats like 99% of all serious worthwhile real jobs in the USA.

That 7k difference (depending on your state and bracket) will really only fluff your taxes. Way out pro’s and con’s, if taking “slightly less” is more valuable then do it. Otherwise wait, it could allow an extra bill being paid without worrh. Politely let them know that you have another offer and you don’t want to leave them waiting too long for your decision. Accept the Philadelphia Phillies Est 1883 American Flag shirt also I will do this first offer so you’re good either way. Tell the second company you have an offer on the table and need their decision asap (politely). Then, choose the best offer (assuming you get the second). If you back out of the first offer, tell them exactly why. They might also come back with more. Make sure you’re considering total comp, not just salary. For instance, $7000 more a year is nothing if the first company covers 100% of your healthcare. You should also be considering growth opportunity, the culture at both companies, and so on. You should definitely politely tell them you have an offer and you would appreciate if they can expedite the process. Mention you are really interested in working for them but don’t want to let another great opportunity slip by if you have to wait too long.
