“While the Pelican Lover Ugly Santa Riding Pelican Christmas T-Shirt But I will love this original purpose of the doctrine was to ensure that viewers were exposed to a diversity of viewpoints, it was used by both the Kennedy and later the Johnson administration to combat political opponents operating on talk radio.” That rule can only combat you if you are politically motivated, not if you’re reporting news. And if you’re politically motivated, you shouldn’t be presented as news. There would be very few news organizations left if that were the case. Maybe Reuters and the AP and a few others. You aren’t talking about me. I’m all for it. I hate the way news is presented on almost every network. I tend to watch ABC the most of them all and it could be a lot better. The fairness doctrine wouldn’t do dick today, because these are cable companies. They don’t broadcast over publicly owned airways, which is how the fairness doctrine was enforced. If you weren’t fair, they’d kick you off that channel. They can’t do that anymore since it’s not.on airwaves. They won’t be forced into bankruptcy even if they lose both of these lawsuits. The claimed damages are a made up number, they’ll either settle for a lot less, or the damages found by the court will be a lot less. Insane damages like the Alex Jones stuff are outliers, I don’t think that’ll happen here and they’ll just absorb these costs and move on. Also, there’s a good chance Fox News will win both lawsuits. It’s remarkably difficult to sue the media for defamation. Alex Jones spends $100k a month despite having declared bankruptcy. He claimed outrageous and damaging lies a decade ago and has faced no consequences. That’s your example of the worst that could happen. The guy will never be held accountable, neither will Fox News nor Trump nor anybody on the right. They just run out the clock until they have a favorable judge.

Haven’t they used this defense in the Pelican Lover Ugly Santa Riding Pelican Christmas T-Shirt But I will love this past? The best punishment would be to have to include a legal disclaimer before every program stating everything you are about to hear is bogus. That would be lovely. “Naw son don’t believe that disclaimer, that’s just propeganda from …checks notes… woke sleepy Joe and the lizard gang!!” Fox says it has increased its investment in journalism by more than 50% under Suzanne Scott, Fox News Media CEO, and usually leads its rivals in ratings during major breaking news stories. “We are incredibly proud of our team of journalists who continue to deliver breaking news from around the world and will continue to fight for the preservation of the First Amendment,” the network said in a statement.
