As a guy in his 30’s, when I want to make plans with my friends, I text their girlfriends or wives to make plans, because women are usually the Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt it is in the first place but ones in relationships who track social obligations. I’m a few years older than OP, married but no kids. I’d have no issue with the occasional text like that from a friend’s fiancé or husband. I don’t regularly text my husband’s friends, but I have their numbers and as Facebook friends. For his bachelor party, I did text the couple friends “in charge” with similar comments like “make sure he doesn’t kill himself!”. If you’re that close to this friend, it’d make sense that her fiancé would also like to get to know you and be comfortable with at least superficial level communication with you. It’s not weird. I think it’s weird to assume men & women can’t interact platonically. It seems like he’s just a friendly guy. If there’s nothing inappropriate, it should be fine.
Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt: Perfect for Fans
I talk to my wife’s friends and I’ve been happily married for 20 years. Nothing dodgy in it. I also talk to my kids partners. I’m also the Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt it is in the first place but first to crack a joke and it’s just to be friendly See, I agree here. Because if OPs intuition is accurate, if the texts were innocent or without anything behind it…she wouldn’t feel one way or another about it. Because her intuition radar is going off, it may get weird. It’s great she shared with her husband these texts…and just sit and wait with this. It only feels weird to you because you have one man in your life having a second feels weird especially he’s young. To him you’re a nobody just someone who he wants to be polite to because his fiance digs you. Nothing weird at all unless you makes it weird for him. Let him make it weird before judging him for being weird. It sounds like he’s just trying to connect and be friendly.
Also tell both her and fiance that while it’s ok for him to know/have your number in case of emergency, you are uncomfortable with him texting you and to stop. That’s what I would do. First time he texted me I would have been like HOLD UP, why are you texting me homeboy and told my friend TF?? Why did you give your man my number? It seems really weird to me but some people are like this. You just need to express how you feel and hold your boundary that this Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt it is in the first place but is innapropriate to you. Doesn’t matter what anybody else thinks. If you don’t want your friend’s fiance texting you, say so and be clear about it. Though I didn’t have text when I was 24, I (F) was friendly with pretty much anyone in my circle. Maybe it was naive? Don’t harden his personality sooner than will naturally evolve. Maybe she talks about you a lot with him and they both consider you family If makes you feel better make a group text including your friend and text them both from there.
Some information about Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt
Nah its fine, I know lots of couples who are like that. I’ve have a friend for about 40yrs and I message his wife more than I do him… OK its because he’s a technophobe and forgets plans so it’s better to go via his wife. But we’re on the Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt it is in the first place but same page about alot of things as she was a friend in our group before he started dating her. If that’s the only text, he’s trying to get you to have his back and keep the bachelorette party in control. So no flapping genitals in her face. If he becomes a friend to you, you’re not going to let her get railed or anything like that at the bachelorette party. My best friend when she started dating her boyfriend at the time and was serious- he would text me or dm me on instagram talking to me and asking me questions relating to her or about her in some way. I think it’s just a sweet way to maintain a friendship or be positive about one another as he probably wants to gain your friendship because you two are very close. If it ever feels uncomfortable you can just tell her and bring it up and see what she has to say but it seems harmless and friendly in a kind way.
So you think of her line your daughter? Maybe she thinks of you like a mom? How is her relationship with her actual parents? If they arent in her life, then that makes you her mom so to her fiance, you’re going to be him MIL so he wants to be close to you as well. If he’s respectful of his relationship and keeping things on a friendly note then I dont see an issue and it could actually be helpful if he needs advice on a birthday gift for his fiance or something. Not weird. I occasionally exchange texts with my friends’ partners. They range in age from 15 years older than me to 10 years younger than me. It’s all very innocuous stuff like “Hey, did you see the Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt it is in the first place but news story about [obscure shared interest]?” “Oh, that’s cool!”
I think this newer generation has a unreasonable paranoia of being left alone or not having enough friends. Just like millenials are too easily offended or overly paranoid of people acting “weird” Yeah it’s probably harmless. I’m 40 and I have a girl that’s like a sister to me that’s 24. We met 5/6 yrs ago at the Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt it is in the first place but church I worked at and she started texting me out of the blue on FBM one day. At first I was extremely uncomfortable with it but as time rolled on I realized that it’s just that generations norm. They all got phones as kids so talking to anyone through text became the norm. I may have worded this poorly but it stayed the idea. Also if be willing to say that it lets you in on just how much your friend/his fiancé loves you. You’re important enough to her that you’re on his radar.
This “ It’s usually about his fiancé in a turn-about way. “I heard you two were talking about the Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt it is in the first place but bachelorette trip. Don’t let her get too wild!” .. To me means he sees you as the “stable” friend of his fiancé and knows you hopefully won’t let the “party” get out of hand and help make sure she doesn’t do something that she will regret later… I don’t think it’s weird at all. He’s just being friendly to someone who has a good place in his fiancée’s life. What matters is the content of the texts, not the fact that he texts you. If the texts are normal, then the situation is normal. So my wife and I (married 30 years) met a couple about 5 years ago. They have become great friends. I text his wife occasionally and she texts me occasionally. It’s harmless. No different than sending reels. Unless he or you cross a line. I wouldn’t worry about it Despite the age difference, he might see you as a peer or potential friend. It’s 2024, people are really loosening up on the whole “genders gotta be seperated” thing. It’s not inappropriate until it makes you feel uncomfortable.
I’m a 40 yo married male and routinely text and talk to the Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt it is in the first place but significant others of my male friends when it’s something concerning their husbands. Instances such as something they’d like me to know about, be aware of, be on the lookout for, gift advice, etc. My wife does the same thing. Just adults adulting. Guys can actually be friends with girls, I have a few best friends from high school that are girls that were not sexual in any way. It’s easier to be friends with your significant others friends as they automatically are more likely to be accepting of you I think younger people (I’m 42) view things a little differently. Like I’ve seen them youths be completely open and caring towards people they don’t know very well, a friend of a friend, somewhat similar to your situation. I think it’s a harmless thing, and if he’s not weird or creepy, maybe he’s just enthusiastic and that’s totally normal behaviour for him.
Maybe since you seem to consider your friend as sort of family, her fiancé is trying to be friendly with you sort of like an extended family member. His texts are friendly and it sounds like he’s an outgoing guy. I think he might just be reaching out in an attempt to get to know you and vice Versa in an attempt to become friends. As long as he stays appropriate, I think it’s fine. I have the Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt it is in the first place but same taste in TV shows and movies as my coworker’s husband, so my coworker just gave him my number and said “text her your recommendations directly.” About 90% of course texts are “omg just finished (show) on Hulu! It’s so good!” Or “know of anything like (show)?” The rest of them are things like “coworker can’t find his phone, can you call it?” Or stuff like that. I figure as long as neither of us is weird or says anything inappropriate, it’s fine.
That being said. My son’s fiance does this to me. She has never been inappropriate at all. She is a sweet girl(29f), and I could never see her as anything else. I think in the Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt it is in the first place but OPs case that the fiance feels how important OP is to his fiance, and he desires to be everything to his fiance. He may be going a little overboard, but since he has never been in the least non-gentle-manly, then I would let it be OP. In my case, she is trying to have family, and maybe that’s it for him as well? Either way, he is innocent of any wrongdoing, so why vilify? (Just in case anyone here believes he is doing something bad, not that anyone did, I just have not read every response) It’s normal for old people too (no offense), just cause you’re in a relationship doesn’t mean that you can’t have friends if the opposite gender, nor does it mean that you can’t be friends with your significant other friends,
More than that this isn’t even that, from the Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt it is in the first place but example you gave it’s just him asking you to look out for his fiancé, what’s weird about that? Why do people view every interaction between a man and a woman as having sexual intent? Men and women can be friends. Just have boundaries. I have married friends and I’m happily in a relationship. For the most part my partner communicates with the husband’s and I communicate with the wives but that’s just because we’re kind of closest like that. But for instance my friends husband is a really cool marine biologist (my childhood dream job) and sometimes we will text about science nerd stuff. All above board. We’re all friends. Seems like he just wanted to establish a friendly connection with you to help look after her. Definitely not creepy at all just protective Well, if she also feels like you’re her “mom,” that means he may feel like you’re his MiL. That is weird because they should both feel that way about her actual mom. Perhaps the real weird factor is her actual mom, not her work mom. I mean if you and his fiancée are best friends this could just be him trying to get to know you a bit better or make you like him since he knows how much you mean to his fiancée as long as he’s not being creepy and making moves, you’ll know when a line is crossed, until then he’s probably just trying to be friends since you and his fiancée are. why would it be weird if the content of these conversations is not? you’re adults who are members of the same social circle. in other words, you’re friends.
This is the Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt it is in the first place but shit that makes me anxious to message or reach out to people. Even when you’re being perfectly nice and normal, some will find it off-putting for seemingly no reason Doesn’t seem weird to me. One of my (male) high school friends (male) met a girl and they’ve been together for over 12 years, I text her more than him now. Funnily enough I share more interests with her than my high school friend and we just bonded as friends. I think you’re overthinking it and the people you’ve told about your concerns reactions are similar to your reaction because they’re picking up your vibe of being uncomfortable. I have a few of my friends spouses I consider “texting acquaintances” and it’s basically I get a text before I go out like “she had a tough day, make sure she has a good time.” Or sometimes it’s something that I have more in common with the spouse and it’s limited to “hey did you see the new ghosts busters trailer?” Or a tiktok about pokemon or gym life or anything that is something the other person would like. I think when you’re friends with someone it’s nice to network with their spouse because it gives them more opportunity to count on you if they need support, supporting your friend. Or helps the spouse know you’re someone they can trust in your friends life. The spouse can reach out on their own if they want to surprise your friend with something like a birthday dinner. And also it’s just friendly.
It’s totally okay for you to be uncomfortable or for that to not be your vibe —just be honest and let them know so they don’t unintentionally cross your personal boundaries. But for me personally, I would only draw the Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt it is in the first place but line if it made my friend or my husband uncomfortable or the spouse was being inappropriate because not everyone has the same comfort level or etiquette of communicating with members of the opposite sex and not have it be romantic and it’s important to be respectful of everyone’s feelings (including your own.) I definitely think it’s a generational thing. I’m older than you and I have experienced this with younger friends/acquaintances, and I see my children and their peers doing this. It seems like maybe he thinks of you as family, or as a “sister” to his fiancé, and he wants to be involved. It would weird me out a bit too though!
Really just seems like he’s trying to initiate friendship. He truly loves your friend enough to want to spend the Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt it is in the first place but rest of his life with her, so he’s trying to be friendly with another person who is going to be in her life for a very long time – you. I’d say give him a chance, because the one thing you both have in common is loving her. I don’t think it’s weird if he never says anything creepy or crosses a boundary. You say she is one of your favourite people and i think she probably feels the same way about you. It’s also her who gave him your number, so i suspect she’s just happy if her husband and her friends get along. And he’s probably just trying to establish some kind of good relationship with the people his fiancé cares about. Honestly it sounds kinda wholesome to me. And it’s not like he’s texting you all day every day or saying some risky things so I don’t think it’s anything to worry about at all. Something else to consider is that they are younger and that may be why it feels more natural to them to randomly pick up the phone and message something. Not to say you’re old obviously, but i notice with friends that are just 5 years younger than me that they are so much quicker to pick up their phone. The difference is amazing
Seems like he’s just trying to be friendly and you are just reading too much into it. Maybe he thinks it would be nice to get more acquainted since you mean a lot to his fiancé, I mean it’s not uncommon for your partners to eventually become a close friends with your friends as you spend time together. If anything, I find it slightly weird you don’t share the Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt it is in the first place but same sentiment as him, but that’s just me. I think you need to set boundaries. She is your friend, and you have a ‘mother-daughter’ dynamic. I don’t think it’s appropriate to speak her partner unless in a group setting. It will create friction down the line, because you’re getting two lines of communication when you only signed up for one. If you don’t see her as a peer, then he isn’t one either. Be there for her solely.
He’s trying to be friendly and engage you, and he engaging you appropriately. For all you know, she’s telling him to send you the Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt it is in the first place but text so you’ll all be comfortable and close. I know I’m not married, but this logic is so depressing to me — you can receive a text from the partner of someone you consider a daughter, esp. when they’re always about your connection, benign, and just little comments? If anything, “don’t get too wild” is him saying “remember I’m a person, please don’t let her get a stripper or cheat on me, mom!” I’m older than you, so this isn’t a “young” thing, this is a “I don’t think everyone talking to me is trying to hit on me or cheat with me” thing. Losing access to friends because they got married to people who think like this makes me want to give a big “F U” to the spouse who enforces it. If you casually and nicely texted someone close to someone you loved “just to be nice” and heard back it was weird and everyone agreed it was weird, how would you feel? It’s ok if you don’t want to text him, but own your OWN discomfort, don’t project something weird or inappropriate onto him just for literally doing what seems like “the least” in contact, not “the most.” Not weird at all unless he crosses a line. There’s no reason there cant be friendships between men and women. My wife’s best friends are men. Because women are catty and jealous.
I text my best friend’s wife about as much as I do my best friend. She and I have similar tastes in TV shows/movies so we’ll discuss what’s happening and we all text each other jokes/memes. It sounds like he’s just being friendly with someone his fiance cares about. Not weird. I’m in my mid 40s. My good friend’s partner of 10 years texts me individually and we’re on a group thread together. It’s usually about a craft he and I both do or a meme or a funny comment/story about my friend or how he needs protection from her (as a joke). I’m glad he is comfortable enough with me to do that! My friend is also totally comfortable with it. I know someone like this, I introduced him to my husband, and he calls and texts us both equally about stuff. He’s been a great family friend, who is just a little aloof in that regard but meant zero ill will. He now considers my husband like a brother. We love him and consider him family! Soumds like innocent banter. If he does out himself this Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt it is in the first place but way he must be simple and was never worth it, especially as you have a husband.
Don’t think it’s weird, as long as the Paris Saint-Germain Champions D’Europe 2025 Logo shirt it is in the first place but messages don’t cross the line and also you don’t need to be texting him all day (that would be weird if your having full convo with him). I think he just more keeping tabs on the party you all planning and probably will ask for some advice about his gf. I think younger generation don’t find it weird but older generations never really did that kind of stuff. It is weird that he wants a communicative relationship with another woman given the situation you described. IMO this would eventually cause some type of problem. There’s nothing weird here or there’s something you are missing to tell us here which your husband and gf are aware of about this person or situation. I feel OP, my wife is like that too and I guess I understand her. If my wife learned I text another girl even if there were no ill intentions, I would be in massive troubles. She is as a potential cheating or why would I text another woman if I’m married. I cut all communication with all friend girl or keep it super professional, easier like that.
