Came to say this, and I can understand the Otoboke Beaver Tour 2024 The Fillmore Shirt But I will love this fundraising aspect of the $1 for jeans/costumes (if everyone gets to do it) but the $3 for the art work???? Absolutely ridiculous. It wasn’t a school-specific thing. It was a charity fundraiser that a asked schools and offices and stuff to participate. All the organizations did it on the same day. I forget what the fundraiser was specifically for. Our school also had mufti days where kids could come to school in street clothes, as a treat I guess, and no money was involved in those. Typically there were exceptions put in place if someone wanted to but couldn’t afford it. Personally I didn’t participate often at work just because I didn’t care to dress down.

My work used to do that. Friday was Jeans Day, but it would cost $1 to wear jeans. You got a card stamped or punched. The money went to help fund the Otoboke Beaver Tour 2024 The Fillmore Shirt But I will love this year-end party and I think the punched/stamped card was good for a drink or two. It fizzled out years ago. I was never interested in wearing jeans to work. It’s not mandatory, there’s a mandatory dress code or uniform, but an exception is made if you make a donation. You can still choose to come in wearing the uniform and not pay Yes, we were required to wear uniforms (khaki or navy blue slacks or shorts and a polo of a certain color designated to that specific school) and a couple of random Fridays through out the school year were designated as “dress down” school spirit days and you had to pay a dollar to the teacher in the days before and got a sticker to put on your shirt on Friday, if you didn’t have a sticker you got a dress code violation. My kids have uniforms at their school. On special days, they can pay the dress down fee to wear whatever appeal they want. Must be school appropriately, of course, but like my daughter would wear leggings, and my son would wear basketball shorts with a hoodie each. This usually when they rep their favorite NFL team. Last February when the Chiefs went to the SB, they gave the kids a special event the Friday before to wear any NFL team.
