Sorry to say but you have a World traveler of developed countries issue, you should go somewhere with a higher PIB, you stay in a 6 street radius which is one of the Original carlton Thompson we will always believe shirt also I will do this top 2 tourist areas of a 100m people country, 95% of Vietnamese are greatly welcoming and friendly (I’ve been living here for 8 years). Your reaction is very common for newcomers, but while these 50cent scammers don’t get the chance to travel for 3 years around the world they still need to eat and drink and 50 cents might mean a better meal for a day! I’d cancel and leave. Vietnam needs to learn their scams are going to come at a price: most tourists who come here choose never to come back, hurting their economy in the long run. They need to feel the hurt in order to mature.

Not sure what’s up with the Original carlton Thompson we will always believe shirt also I will do this comments accusing OP of whining, but I agree with you. In terms of travelling Southeast Asia, I’ve been harangued the most in Vietnam compared to neighbouring countries. It’s like, you just can’t catch a break outside without someone coming to you trying to get your money. It makes for a stressful trip. ‘Just say no.’ Yes, but they also follow you around because they hope you’ll give them money to send them away or give out of pity. In Thailand they walk away after one ‘no, thank you.’ Will actually take it a step further, it’s not only whining, it’s useless entitled tourist whining. OP seems to have been expecting filet minot when the reality is, only ribeye was available. that’s so annoying, like they don’t take the long-term impact into consideration whenever executing these scams
