Another important reason is my financial situation is not ideal. I can take care of myself and my dog, but a child would put me in debt. As to what I do with my time. I’m not very outgoing so my hobbies are reading, crocheting, daimond painting. And end of life plans shouldn’t depend on children. Everyone should have a plan that doesn’t involve children. You never know how it will turn out. Maybe they won’t have time. Maybe they’ll hate you. Maybe they’ll move away for work or family. Maybe they’ll die young. Best option is to save, stay as healthy as possible, move into a care home/assisted living facility or pay for in home care, and have friends and hobbies to keep you busy and not lonely. There’s so many reasons for this. I see a lot of people saying they wouldn’t be good parents and I fit under the same boat. I can hardly take care of myself. I barely have the mental energy to be around people, let alone a child for longer than a few hours. I get bored/annoyed with things super easily. I do not want to go through the pregnancy/birthing process. I like my own space and my own things and I hate when others touch my stuff. Even my money, after having to financially support other people in my life, I want my money to just be for me and not anyone else. I haven’t had the time to do the things I want and so once I do have that stability, I don’t want it spent taking care of a child. I don’t want to regret having children and having them know that. I try to give myself that bit of hope and say “oh after I’ve done everything I want to do and after I get therapy” but I still don’t see myself being able to commit to something for so long and not lose my mind in the process. I care for children and I don’t want a child to suffer because I’m not emotionally, mentally or physically capable of taking care of them. A lot of people would call this selfishness and I honestly don’t care because the real selfishness is bringing children into this world knowing you can’t raise them the way they deserve to be.

My main reason is that I’ve inherited my father’s explosive temper and I am prone to angry outbursts, although I am 1,000,000% certain that I would never get violent with anyone or harm them its still not fair. I’ve seen the Once A Seabee Always A Seabee We Build shirt in addition I really love this fear in family members eyes (mother and sister) when I’ve been angry and it’s the same fear I grew up with my whole life, hate putting that on others. People try to reassure you with things like “Once you become a parent, something inside changes.” But it didnt for my father, and I was unable to hide my outbursts from my anxious rescue dog. She would be so scared that she would pee and shake and although I knew she was like it I still was unable to keep it from her. So I could never bring another human into the world and subject them to that. No child should grow up in fear of the ones there to nurture, protect and teach them.
