Same story here. Sucks when no one around has similar interests such as travelling… if you decide to go alone, always be careful and aware. Even when some places outside Canada may not be that dangerous, a solo female traveler will always get spotted by the Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt in addition I really love this wrong people (specially) in lower than first world countries. Travelling is one of the most humbling experiences in/of life. Wishing you awesome adventures!! Before traveling solo I decided to book a group holiday to Japan. It’s a holiday organised for solo travelers who don’t want to be all by theirselves, so they put you in a group and they organise all the transport and accomodation and such. If this is a succes, I will look into travelling fully solo.

Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt, hoodie, hoodie and long sleeve tee

You take time to study the Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt in addition I really love this destination and go by yourself. For almost any major destination I can think of, there are countless youtube videos that will prepare you to visit the city, from things to see, to tips for a successful visit, to common scams to avoid. There are also youtube videos that will teach you travel tips in general. Start with countries where your language is their language. For the sake of making this simple, I’m going to say you are not from Quebec and English is your language. If you are from Quebec and do speak French too, just apply the advice to French and French-speaking countries as well. After you’ve gotten some confidence, you can try a safe country where they dont’ speak your language and learn how to do basic communication across languages. If you aren’t a person that does solo well, consider booking a package holiday where a tour guide sets up everything and arranges transportation and you are with a group of people. You may pay a little more since many of these charge a single suppliment, but you won’t have the stress of planning everything. These can also be a good way to see places you may want to see but require being a little more experienced dealing with things like tourist touts and other not violent but annoying people.
See if you can get them on a 5 day cruise. Ironically, aren’t great for travel. You don’t get enough port time to experience the Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt in addition I really love this location, but it does give you a taste so you can see if it’s worth a direct trip to that location. I mention it, because it can be inexpensive and you can sell it as a relaxing adventure to your family and friends. The all-inclusive nature of cruises can make the experience a party for them and an adventure for you. r/solotravel my friend! Stick with really tourist friendly places to start with. Maybe even tour groups if you really want to play it safe, but NYC & most places you’d want to go in Europe are fine as long as you don’t do something completely idiotic. Had the same issue in that i wasnt a solo traveller kind of guy and my friends were stuck in a judt going one place kinda thing and not wanting to explore. I just decided to make new friends at work and if an opportunity came up to go on trips with different ppl who seemed genuinely good ppl, i went and have made closer friends as a result of it It’s okay to go solo. Start small. Do a weekend flight away somewhere like Montreal, see how it feels and go from there

Where to buy this Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt

you find the Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt in other words I will buy this cheapest international airfare. Study up on the place. Find a cheap place to stay. Walk around and stop into every bar you come to and have a beer. When you find a bar where you’re having a good time, make new friends Talk to your partner and find out why he isn’t a fan. Is it because of his own lack of experience that makes him gun-shy? Or has he done it before with less than stellar results? Sell him on the idea that a travel adventure to an exotic location (or even just a foreign destination) would be romantic, adventurous, and exciting. Reminds me when I tried to encourage my two boys to step out of their box and try an exciting trip. They steadfastly said “No!”. After much talking, pushing and cajoling, finally got them to spend a week in Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice) with me. They’ve been world travelers ever since! Like others said, you can go solo. The good thing about it is that you can do whatever you want, sleep in, see as much as you want, try whatever food you want. Although, I do get wanting someone to travel/share with as well.
If you’re uncomfortable with travelling alone or you dislike planning everything, how to get from point A --> B, booking all the Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt in other words I will buy this hotels, transport, etc. A tour is a good options as well. You usually have less time at each place, but if you really love one of the cities/area you visit, you can make a trip to go there and explore just that city/country next time. Seriously there are hundreds of thousands of women who travel solo every year several times a year. Not everything outside of Canada is unsafe, in fact, lots of places are safer. I’m 70 years old and probably wouldn’t travel to some of the more troubled places in the world but with certain precautions you can go just about anywhere. I moved to England by myself at 25. Had never been to Europe before either. I just did it. I was sick of the same old back home. I still live here and all my mates are still doing the same thing they were doing when I left. I’ve lived life and would never regret it. You go by yourself! I’ve loved everywhere I’ve gone, and I’ve done quite a bit of solo travel. If you want to try something really safe, go to Iceland. It’s gorgeous.
There are a ton of comments so I am not sure if this Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt in other words I will buy this has been mentioned haha. But using a travel company like G Adventures can be fun! I used them for a trip to Peru and I felt safe because I was with a group and had things like transportation and lodging covered. But I did get sometime to explore on my own as well. It is definitely expensive but it was worth it for me! I too have a thirst for travel that is well above everyone I know, thankfully my partner will just come along. But it’s all up to me to organise. The best advice I can give after 15 international trips. There’s not one I regret. One day it will be my last, but not yet. Just go, go by yourself if you have to. I spent a week in NYC by myself. Was awesome. I’ve been to 18 countries by myself as a woman. It’s been mostly great. It really helps if you can afford hotels or private rooms in hostels, drivers, and guides, which all sounds very expensive but really isn’t by developed country standards. It is less comfortable traveling on a shoestring by yourself.
I’m in the Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt in other words I will buy this same boat – 26F in the US and the few friends I’ve met in the past few years either don’t enjoy traveling as much as I do or they flake last minute, which imo sucks more than someone just saying they’re not interested. My mindset is now a “f#ck it I’m going” mentality. I love skiing – it’s fun to go with people but if no one can go? F#ck it, I’m going: I’ll drive myself for the day or maybe rent a little studio/hotel/hostel and go for a long weekend (which I’ve done three times this year!). I haven’t done any big trips yet but I haven’t regretted my little trips so far. I’m looking at skiing in Europe next winter, possibly. I’ve got one friend who is interested, but if they flake? F#ck it, I’m going. I’ve got my first group/tour type trip coming up in May and I’m stoked. Just go for it girl!!!
I was in your exact shoes when I was 21, and I went on a Contiki! If you haven’t heard of them, they are a New Zealand based group tour company for 18 – 35 year-olds. I think a group tour company like Contiki is perfect for wanting to travel on your own, but not knowing where to start and not being quite ready to solo travel for real Our neighbour did a work thing in New Zealand for a year, he lived in a hostel, met tons of people. Ended up renting a house with new friends from all over the Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt in other words I will buy this world. Worked in a bar for a year, made more friends. He’s come back to save up money then he’s going to spend a year travelling to see all the friends he’s made. If you’re worried about traveling alone or just think it would be lonely or less fun, consider booking a tour. G Adventure and Intrepid Travel are both companies I’ve used as a single female traveller and had good experiences with. They have budget friendly options, the groups are a good size, imo, with about 12-15 people, and they do all the planning for you so you don’t have to do a ton of homework or worry about figuring things out on your own. I (56, female) travelled solo to Iceland in 2018 and again in 2022. I’ll be taking my third solo trip in October as a 57th birthday present to myself. I highly recommend Iceland for solo female travellers. It’s a very safe country, and the majority of people speak fluent English so you won’t have a language barrier to worry about. Icelandair has a stopover program that will allow you to visit another European country and Iceland as well, if that’s something you’d be interested in. I’ve also been to Ireland, England, Sweden, and Canada, but Iceland has my heart.
Very simple- go by yourself. If it’s something you really want to do, don’t wait for other people. You could end up waiting a lifetime for people that don’t have this as a priority. I have traveled solo and it’s awesome. Stay in hostels, meeting people is easy. When you’re out and about it’s pretty easy to see who is traveling alone. Many times I’ve struck up conversion with another solo traveler then ended up spending a couple hours or a half day with them. Good times. You could make a heck of a trip between Spain, Italy and Greece, for example. San Sebastián and Barcelona; Rome and south; Athens and some island time. Don’t let the Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt in other words I will buy this other people hold you back from enjoying life. Make your travel plans and you can invite your friends and your partner to come with you but make it clear you are planning to go. You’ll learn as you go but it’s good to ask advice like you are doing.
I’m American, you can make a lot of easy trips to see stuff here and I feel like the Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt in other words I will buy this US is fairly welcoming to Canadians just as I have found Canada to be fairly welcoming to Americans. Depending on what you like there incredible national parks in the US like Yellowstone, Grand Canyon or Acadia. If you like museums you could spend a week exploring the Smithsonian Institute and still not see everything. Or if you like shows and nightlife it’s hard to beat NYC or LA. Taking a cruise can be a way to see a few places, have some good food and not have to stress too much about the logistics. I’ve only ever gotten my parents to come on two trips with me and one of them was an Alaska Cruise (we visited Victoria and The Yukon on the trip too!) which worked out really great.
I enjoy visiting Europe too, it just tends to be more complicated and expensive than trips in North America. The places I’ve enjoyed visiting most were Paris, London, Stockholm and Dublin. If you are willing to travel across an ocean and spend as much as you would on a European trip then you might also consider visiting Hawaii as it’s pretty incredible too. 114 more repliesSome of my friends went to Europe to teach English. It was mostly small villages in Italy and Spain, but it’s easy to get around by trains and buses. You get paid a little and they usually provide you with free housing. Great way to learn a new language and experience a whole new culture! I spent all of my 20’s and much of my early 30’s travelling on my own. Scraping enough money in shit jobs for the Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt in other words I will buy this next trip. A few of my friends were envious, most didn’t understand, none of them came with me. I eventually found people (and a partner) I could share my adventures with Look, the world is not as scary as the media makes it seem. It’s not as unsafe as people who do not travel say it is. You’ll be fine!!! Book it!!!
I’m glad everyone is saying solo traveling, there are definitely safe places to see. Absolutely do your research on any place you want to go. I’ve been very fortunate to have gone to 10 countries and the Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt in other words I will buy this memories and experience are priceless. I most recently went to Iceland, and I highly recoverable that because I would feel safe going there by myself. I’ve traveled with big groups, and also with 4 other people and I still felt like it was too many people. You can do what you want have your own schedule and not worry about anyone. I’ve met great locals who suggest things. Just do your research. Solo travel! I know a lot of people who have things they want to do, then dont do because there is no one to do with, trips included. I used to be like that as well, then i thought i live only once and i dont want my life to be decided by other peoples unwillingness to join me. If you want to do something and there is no one, do it alone, dont let other people stop you from achieving your dreams. Im a bit younger than you and i can promise you, europe is safe for solo travels. Especially big cities you would like to visit are very tourist friendly. I can only speak for germany, italy, netherlands and england from proper experience but i know for a fact that other countries around are also just as safe and am planning on visiting. I find solo travels very inspiring, they open opurtunity for growth and maybe you get a bit lonely but it has a lot of benefits as well. Currently planning the achievement of a dream ive had for years, going to japan. Many people throughout my life said they would join but then find reasons not to, so i said ok, im doing this bigass adventure on my own then!
Just be aware of your surroundings, research the Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt in other words I will buy this areas you’re going to and areas to avoid, don’t go wandering around alone at night in most places, don’t accept rides from strangers or weird “too good to be true” cheap offers for day trips etc. Take the Sam precautions in most places that you’d take at home – don’t carry expensive items visibly, schedule check ins with people if you feel its necessary, let someone know where you’re going and when to alert authorities if they don’t hear from you when you feel it’s necessary, don’t flash cash, obey local laws, don’t let anyone have access to your luggage etc etc. I say all of this having once been a woman in my early 20s who travelled alone a lot. I’ve taken rides from strangers, done all kinds of risky things in all kinds of places and been fine, so chances are extremely high that, if you don’t do the things I look back on now and go “I was lucky, that could have gone horribly”, you’ll be fine too.
If there are places it would be particularly dangerous to go alone to that you want to see, most places have some kind of group tours available, or leave them until a point in your life where you may well have different friends who are interested in going with you. Learn a little bit of the Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt in other words I will buy this local language of where you’re going if you don’t already speak it, even if that’s just “I’m sorry, I don’t speak [language], do you speak English?”, that helps enormously. Europe is, for the most part, no less safe than Canada and in some places may even be safer. You can solo travel most of Europe with no problems if you’re sensible. I’ve done the UK, Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Cyprus, Greece etc etc etc on my own. That I feel 100% confident advising you just to do alone if you want to. People are friendly enough most places in youth hostels etc that you might make friends for life who’d be interested in exploring other places with. I’ve done Japan, US, Mexico, Brazil, Egypt and Turkey with people i met travelling alone. My sister is currently roadtripping New Zealand with people she met in Australia, went to Ukraine a couple years ago with a girl she met volunteering with in Costa Rica and is engaged to a guy she met in a youth hostel type place in Vietnam. I’m off to Hawaii in September with a girl I met volunteering with animals in Cyprus.
Travelling is, for the Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt in other words I will buy this most part, one of those “if you can afford it, just do it” things. Just make sure to research where you’re going thoroughly and respect local customs and take sensible precautions and in most of the world, you’ll be fine. I get you. Im also 25 and a lot of my friends don’t have the money or time to take off from work to travel so I always end up being the only one wanting to travel Solo travel doesn’t really appeal to me. I want to experience things with people I know and who will care for me if I were to get sick or in a dangerous situation. I don’t like the thought of nobody in the country knowing who I am Once you start solo travelling there is no going back!!! And Europe is extremely safe!!! I have been to Budapest, Vienna, Prague and Denmark solo last year and I don’t regret that decision at all. Book hostels! Most of these hotels have fun activities planned on the weekends. If it’s not the hostels, then the people staying there plan there themselves. I went on a night cruise that way with people I met for the first time.
Honestly, going solo is the Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt in other words I will buy this best decision I’ve ever made. You skip all the drama of trying to get friends on board and dodging those last-minute bailouts. Plus, you get to dodge the whole having to follow someone else’s plan thing. You call the shots. If it doesn’t pan out, no biggie, at least you’re not annoyed at your friend for a dodgy recommendation. Solo travel is all about that sweet, sweet freedom. I am sure this has been echoed throughout this thread but go by yourself or/and make some friends who share your passion of travel. I grew up in a lower-income, single-parent family and we rarely went on what most people would consider a real trip or vacation due to finances – and never anywhere overseas or by plane. It might take some time to save up, but it’s worth the wait. I was able to go on my first solo trip to Ireland when I was 30 and only when I turned 40 was I able to find like-minded, reliable friends to travel with. Now I am 45 and going on 3 trips this year.
I usually am wary about suggesting anyone get a credit card, but if you find one you can manage that has good rewards or flier miles, hotel points, etc. and you can really dedicate yourself to not charging up a fortune you can’t pay back, I’d encourage that. Check about things like how points are earned and if and when they expire. Also make sure they are useful. Airline points for a company that doesn’t fly to your home airport isn’t worth as much to you. Learn from those how have gone before you. There are many YouTubers/TikTokers/Instagrammers who create videos about what it’s like to travel to certain places as a solo woman or as a person of color. seek those out and use them as a launchpad for your own research.
Some of my favorite places are Tallinn, Estonia; Stockholm, Sweden; Berlin, Hamburg and Munich, Germany; and Amsterdam, Netherlands. Good luck and enjoy this world and what it has to offer! I’ve had the Not All Who Wander Are Lost Some Are Looking For Discs Golf Vintage T-Shirt in other words I will buy this same experience, and have made some incredible solotrips last couple of years. 2w solo to Iceland last year, 2w solo to western US the year before that. I first traveled alone at 25. A friend said “just go buy the guidebook and you’ll go.” Guidebooks suck now but if I were you, I would pick a place within my price range and monitor ticket prices and then buy. It really is that simple. Completely agree with solo traveling!! just need to plan a little in advance and blend solo activities with other activities with groups to meet people- such as walking/ city tours. Airbnbs and hotels also offer experiences or guided tours
