I got carded recently at a gas station buying beer and when the North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this cashier asked for proof of age, I said “My mortgage is more than half paid off and my back hurts for no reason at all.”. 50. I was at lunch with my coworkers. The owner’s kid was there. The conversation turned to John Wayne movies. She had no idea who we were talking about. I feel the same way about age as I feel about labels…21, 35, 48, 62, 110, gay, straight, bi, male, female, black, white, latino, asian, Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Communist….I can keep going. Just enjoy life and try not to be a doucebag about anything. Anyone of us could be dead tomorrow. Why sweat the details? Peace out whippersnapper. BTW: I didn’t mean to be a doucebag, I just looked up the definition. I thought it was a cutesy term like “kiddo.” Last year sometime. My self esteem went out the window my mental sn physical health in the shit. Im 43 and trying Having my friends teen-aged kid tell me he’s really into “classic rock”, you know like Guns n Roses and Metallica. I’m 23 born in 2000. The kids and teenagers these days make me feel old with everything they talk about, the slang, the songs, etc… I also notice rogue grey hairs, some wrinkles, and bags under my eyes so that definitely makes me feel older

North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt: Unleash Your Inner Fighter

27. I went home for a weekend. My younger sisters 19f and 21f had friends over we sat around having a few drinks together having a good chat. 10pm rolled around, I was ready for bed and was starting to feel awkward with the North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this conversation as I couldn’t relate at all and saw things from a different point of view. I realized I was old when I was at a music festival about 7 years ago and bassnectar was playing and I fell asleep on a tapestry on the vibrating ground (wasn’t even on drugs, just tired) You’re only 21 bro and Super young. Turning 32 this year and feel like I am 26 physically. Just need to stay physically active, eat clean, drink lots of water, multivitamins and good sleep. I don’t remember whether it was my 13th or 14th birthday, all I remember is that it was in middle school, but I remember the day before one of those two birthdays, for a brief moment, I just felt extremely old for no reason.
I was 25 and took my boyfriend’s (now husband) 10 year old niece and her friend to get a pedicure. Everything was going great until one of them said “you’re the North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this coolest grown up ever!” Even though I had a good job and my own apartment I guess it didn’t really hit until that moment that I WAS a real grown up! Hasn’t happened yet but I know it’s coming which is why I spend more time in the gym than most people half my age lol That said, I got carded recently at a bodega (this was already a year ago, but I barely leave the house so that’s recent in my book) and the kid at the counter looked at my ID & said “But you don’t LOOK old.” I nearly died right then and there. I guess he (teenage kid) thinks I’m old? I’m 54. In the last 15 years I’ve gone from 20/20 vision to wearing progressive lenses, my kid is now an adult, and I started liking Brussels sprouts.

I’m 25, I had to call my bank and they thanked me for being with them for over 20 years. This was the North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this realisation for me When I was 28, I went to see an orthopedic surgeon for an ACL/Meniscus tear. I had already previously torn my ACL/meniscus in that knee several years prior, so I knew what was wrong already. I had an MRI done and came back a week later to review the results. My doctor told me that when he first saw my results, he thought that they had somehow mixed up my chart with an elderly patient. He said it’s the worst knee under 40 years old that he had ever seen. I feel time fleeting, but I don’t think it’ll really hit me till this next birthday at 24. I moved out at 16, my dad died when I was 17, I had my first son at 20 and my whole family lives within 20 minutes of me but I only see them once every few months. I’m just so tired already. Just recently when I go out and see so many teenagers riding bikes and hanging out at fast food joints I’m like wtf time flies.. I’m 29 now and I think this is the age we’re I’m like dam I’m getting old and also seeing my son so big now
Certainly, I believe that age is only a number. Lifestyle plays the North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this role for me, and I’ve been on this earth for 50 years. 14 or so. My baby sister had to help me standup because parts of my limbs stopped working my hip hurts my legs hurt my back hurts and I had a baby to take care of while dealing with two mentally ill people in the house When someone on Reddit recently said they worked in a really really old building that was probably haunted. they said it was built in the 1970s. I’m only 37. 60 it started but now at 66 it’s ramped up exponentially both in the way I look at feel. I always looked 10-15 years younger, that’s dropped to 5( with makeup on a good day). My body is just falling apart. I have moderate arthritis in every major and some minor joints. It sucks.
Last week when I needed help getting off the North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this floor when I was finished playing with my 5 month old. I’m 35 and damn it was work. I also found out that I have muscles in my ass that I didn’t know were there and that my knees and shoulders popping can cause people to ask me if I’m ok Today, yesterday and the year before. 28. Gonna try what the 30+ crowd echoes all the time and work on my body for the first time in my entire life. 50. A couple of weeks ago I called a guy “young man”. Then I looked around expecting to see my grandmother, and realised I had said it and that I must be getting old. I’m 29. It’s just the realities and compromises of life that have been hitting me. I feel raw reality these days, and that’s okay. It’s better than fantasy land and more confusion.
Two torn Achilles tendons, busted MCL, ligament damage in my hand and a number of broken bones later, and my little niggles are starting to slow me down. Around my mid-40s I started noticing my body doesn’t heal from injury or recover from exercise as fast as it used to do. I noticed my skin is not as tight as it used to be. Losing weight is getting a lot harder. And I can’t eat cake for breakfast anymore. 21?! That made me giggle. Yet I am feeling old, and I’m only 29. I still feel like a child inside, but my body is starting to feel… less 20. Hmm I’d say 25 because I skipped a year at uni back then and felt like I was too old to still be a freeloader and a student… but then as soon as I finished my degree and got a decently paying job, I started feeling like I was 21 again and too young for all the North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this new responsibilities
I don’t remember how old I was, but I got a paper cut and it didn’t heal right away. I could get paper cuts and literally watch it heal in seconds. But the North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this last one I got, a long time ago, just kept bleeding. Wow. You have a very tough road ahead if you think you’re “up there.” I’m actually really old and I was still running competetive marathons in my mid 40s. I certainly got some limitations in my 70s but didn’t really feel “old” until my 80s. You have a ton of good life ahead of you. A ton. 52 today, I feel like crap hard laborious jobs my whole life arthritis, auto immune, high blood pressure, kidney, liver medication cost without insurance is just under 14k a month no drugs, alcohol or tobacco Father died at 32 uncles, aunts. 7 of them were all gone before 55 except 1. Cousins, a bunch are gone in their 30s. One just died, and he was 54 bunch of bullshit lol. Many of them lived unhealthy life’s drunk and drug addicted diabetics. 3 dads siblings died from cancer.
19, both of my parents where in the North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this hospital for cancer and my little brother was in grade 9. I dropped out of colllege and the varsity swim team to come home and look after people. Im 29 now trying finish my schooling now but our family won’t ever be the same. Guilt and angrer for this stuff never goes away 18. I discovered tennis and really liked it and was told I started way too late to be pro top 100 and made me realize I had already missed the boat on some paths I could have taken in life. I’m 31 now and since January 28th 2020 I’ve never felt more than 80% fully healthy, and I’ve tried everything and also had a bazillion tests, scans, doctors visits, etc. So all these people saying they are in their 30s and 40s and don’t feel a day over 21 count yourself lucky
Chronic illness and pain has had me feeling prematurely old, I am 42 and have been feeling “old” for about 5 years now I’m going to be 36 this year. It struck me how I’m close to 40. And recently bartenders don’t even consider checking my ID… 32-33. I’m a high school teacher so teaching year 7’s can really age you. I’ve also started to be invisible when I move through society. I’m 37 I’ve never had that feeling. I feel the North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this same now as when I was 21 and I do all the same things I ever did. 31. When I started getting arthritis and gastro problems. Cuts and muscle pain take way longer to heal. 37 now and it’s slowly worsening, but I’m okay with it so far. Early to mid-20’s are weird because people often use age against you as an explanation of inadequacy. Thus, you try and show your maturity and end up not always enjoying how young you actually are and how fun that is. But then your late 20’s/ early 30’s hit, and I feel like I’ve returned to a lot of passions from childhood and not constrained by others’ expectations of me. It’s very nice. Just within the past month. I was playing the bagpipes with bad posture and was sore from it. I actually thought to myself, well, I’m old. I’m 51.
Um 1 year ago. I need a new hip. Finally found out 3 months ago. Lol I should go to the North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this dr more often. 64! now approaching middle age! This year. I just turned 36. Pandemic and covid did a number on my health and weight. I’ve never been this out of shape. Also, went through a year+ of my mother’s battle with cancer and her passing. Makes me look at things differently. A lot of things are no longer that important as they were with youth. 349 more repliesI’m 27, and for some reason, my age is finally really getting to me. I’ve started looking for wrinkles and being more observant of my smile lines. I think being a teenager on the internet and even now has affected me a lot with it. I also look around and realize – I’m not “old.” I’ve still got years to go. My mother turns 60 this year and I’ve watched her age the past 20 years and it’s put life into perspective. It’s a lot to think about, so I try not to. I’m 44 years old and started feeling it when my mom fell and broke her hip. The way she needed me to be there for her, to make sure she was OK through the whole process of the hospitals, physical rehab, the rehabilitation place, make sure her bills were paid, and everyday she needed me. That’s when I felt old. I am my mother’s protector now. It’s my turn to keep the monsters away. I work in peds. A lot of these kiddos don’t know who certain bands and singers are that I listened to religiously at their age, such as Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears. It actually blows my mind Honestly, so far life is a lot of fun. At your age I had pangs where I felt old because you are just starting to be a full adult and have to leave behind some of the stupidity of youth. But then you explore and find a career, find your soul mate (whatever you want to call that), have kids if you are luck, and go through a long process with them that is both maddening and rewarding like you cannot believe. Honestly it keeps getting better and better. You have so much to look forward to.
Aroud 20-21. Things just seem to fly by, people dont have as much time as they used to and days blend together. Well 21 is kind of a milestone. I guess you mean you feel old as in officially adult? Can’t imagine you feel too run down yet haha (hopefully not) When I turned 40 it did freak me out, as that’s the North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this age I think everyone has designated as officially “old” (though I still don’t feel too old, just grown up) I felt like the death of my father aged me a lot emotionally. He passed away a few years ago when I was 27. Losing that sense of security of having a stable parent and the grief that comes with losing one really put a toll on me. I overheard the cashier the other day at shoppers talk about how she was a Bieber fan and the customer said, “looks like you dated yourself.” and I’m standing off to the side thinking, ‘if Bieber is old, how old are The Spice Girls?’ When I turned 30, I realized I remembered when my father turned 30, and how that seemed old to me. Then I looked at pictures of him at 30, and he seemed younger than I did at 30. Then I felt old. See it for me I’m older now than I was when I felt the oldest. I don’t feel as old anymore because I’m in significantly better shape, have a regular, have a pretty new girlfriend, etc. So I fell over five years ago then I do now. 68 yo. Swim, pickleball, bicycle – including multi-week camping tours on the bike. Yeah, I nap if I can 5 days a week. But when I felt old – couple of weeks ago I went to see a buddy’s cover band. First hour set I knew 2 songs, meanwhile everyone else in the bar knew every word to every song. What was this music? Officially an old f*cker now.
23, my age now. But I think thats mostly because of the North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this more grown up direction ive gone in recently. Just been promoted to a Team Leader at my company and am moving in with my GF next month. Last weekend i stopped and thought “Oh boy, I’m a grown up now” haha I’ve got two: morning of my 30th birthday. I had forgotten it was birthday, I stepped into the shower and immediately threw out my back. My first thought was oh fuck! I’m thirty. Sometime later that year I was driving and I saw this gorgeous woman with huge tits jogging and my first thought was wondering if her back hurt. The minute you feel like you have something to lose is the minute you feel old. It hit me at 40ish. I was care free with a “it will work out” mentality. Now I have so much to lose it’s terrifying.
I definitely felt old by the North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this time I graduated college, so 24. The main hill on campus really did a number on me, especially once the power-assist wheels on my wheelchair crapped out. When I was 50 I was surprised that a street vendor for a party at the Playboy Club in Vegas turned his back to me my wife. He was hassling all the people in front of us and I was working on my polite “no thanks”, and when we finally reached him he turned his back and was admiring the skyline. We may have been fifty but we could pass for 40 easily and my wife could be mistaken for 37. Anyway it was a wake up call; it does not matter how young you feel, you are only as young as you look to young people. I don’t feel old even though I’m in my mid 40’s. Still no wrinkles, no gray hairs, no aching joints, back problems, etc. The only thing now is that I have bushy ear hair, which I didn’t have 10 years ago. So, I still hop around like I did in my 20s. 54. I was rolling, great wife and life, great career, great money, running long distance for years, playing ice hockey. I started to believe that I would never get old. Boom a slight pain in my hip got worse over months. I had to cut back running. The day after hockey my whole hip and thigh ached. Hello arthritis. Look at those x-rays. Thumbs started hurting too. Arthritis again. Hard to grip. Can’t hear what my wife is saying. Hello hearing aids.
So now at 55 I feel like I aged 40 years overnight. LOL. I’m fine. Life is still pretty great, but no I was not immune to the North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this aging process. 27 when it was genuine. The times before that I had no idea. And I assume the same thing will happen at some point later Today at a ripe 24. My nephew (3) told me 24 was “too big.” I have always had the internal thoughts of being too old as long as i can think back though Edit: Also should add I’m in way better shape than when I was in my 20s. But this aging body just seems to have more aches and niggles these days! 2 different phases of feeling old. Age 29 went to a large music festival, saw tons of younger people there, I no longer felt like one of them. At age 28 I still felt like I belonged with the youngsters, but one year later age 29 somehow I felt divided from the young. Hard to explain anything specifically, just a gut feeling that I had moved to a point in life where I might not relate to people in their teens to mid 20s anymore. 2nd phase of feeling old began at age 48. I’ve injured about 8 or 9 different body parts since that time and it takes forever for these injuries to heal. I’ve got something right now that’s been nagging at me since doing a 4 mile run last June. Poor health can really sap your spirit as you age.
I equate my age with pro footballers. When I’m a kid they’re older. When I’m a young adult, they’re the North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this same age. When they’re a coach at my age, then I feel old. 33 and not yet I’m in by far the best shape and feel better than when I was in my early 20s. 21 is so young dude you haven’t even figured yourself out yet so don’t get too worried. I’m 32 and I don’t feel old but a good night’s sleep doesn’t fix everything anymore so I do feel reminded that I will get old My knees hurt My back hurts My neck hurts My wrists hurt Im strong but usually sore I have so many braces Rolls of kt tape Solonpauses Usually tired Not necessarily “old” but I’m also 21 and got called ma’am for the first time a couple weeks ago. Nearly had a crisis in the middle of a thrift shop realizing there’s people who like see me as an adult now💀 I was told I looked 18 working at a wing restaurant and told them I’m nearly 26 and they all gasped and couldn’t believe it. (I’m 5’2 which doesn’t help lol) 26. A lot of the reasons such as my parents had already had me didn’t bother me at all. The one that got to me was watching the nfl and realizing most professional athletes were younger than me 22. All the things I liked as a teen, the children on the internet are just discovering. I keep seeing teens say anyone over 20 doesn’t understand their references. I’m chronically online, of course I know what a skibidi toilet is.
Just wait until you wake up one morning and you’re in your sixties and you remember just how ridiculous old people sound when they said they knew it was going to rain because their joints hurt and you’re laughing because you know it’s going to rain because your joints hurt. For me, I think it was not so much the North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this age, but the kids. As soon as they came around, I felt the sudden yet inexplicable urge to step out on my front lawn and shake my fist at the neighborhood kids while holding my back because it hurt. 251 more replies60 is the first time that I started thinking about my own mortality. Even becoming a paraplegic at 49 didn’t really make me feel older. It’s all just a number though, so keep on keepin’ on! 35, I have a lot of body aches and foot injuries from repetitive strain. Hard to walk and wake up in pain. So I’m starting to feel old.
Turned 21 last year, shortly after getting an apartment with my girlfriend. It’s not so much getting older, so much as I realized I’m suddenly a full ass adult. I have my own place, a car, a full time job, and a healthy relationship. I’m still young but I’m not a kid anymore. My life has changed in ways I could never expect When I heard one of the North Carolina’s Tylee Craft is the 23rd annual recipient of the Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award 2024 Poster shirt in contrast I will get this biggest hits in my college years made into “elevator music”. Little Red Corvette by Prince. As elevator music. I hadn’t even turned 30. I cried. When I turned 25. I know it’s not really old, but I remember being a kid and not even being able to imagine what it would be like to be in my 20s. It wasnt the age. It was because there was a song on the radio out of my tern years. But the stations called “radio nostalgie” then i feld old. But im just 45
