You can speculate all you want, but the New York Mets vs Los Angeles Dodgers 2024 NLCS championship series shirt so you should to go to store and get this evidence we have is he went on lavish vacations of his patrons dime to the tune of about $1m a year. The house that was bought from his mother and given back to her may up the total a bit for that year. No doubt there’s more but I doubt anyone gave him $100m as he would likely have already gone and fucked off somewhere. The point of giving him all the gifts is precisely so he does not fuck off somewhere. The good old boys want their guy in a position of power. Why? He doesn’t want to go and fuck off somewhere. He wants to powerful, he wants to be wined and dined, he wants to be seen as important, he wants to be constantly given things, he wants to live a life of luxury. No amount of money in his pocket would change any of that, he already has it all, why would he fuck off? The thing not being mentioned that’s germane to this is how back in the day Thomas basically made a threat that if justices weren’t paid more that “one or more would walk away”.

New York Mets vs Los Angeles Dodgers 2024 NLCS championship series shirt

Oliver’s point is that billionaires heard that alarm bell and are bankrolling him to stay on the New York Mets vs Los Angeles Dodgers 2024 NLCS championship series shirt so you should to go to store and get this court because justice salaries were not raised. He’s pointing out the hypocrisy that he will pay far more for him to leave the court since that was his initial threat. “If someone doesn’t give me money to stay here then I’m leaving.” The government didn’t give him that, billionaires did. John is giving him the ability to actually make good on the threat he made years ago. Matt Walsh is having a meltdown over John Oliver doing this, by the way. “It’s illegal to bribe a Supreme Court justice!!” ‘Uncle’ Thom won’t be able to make this decision unilaterally, he would have to as his BOSS, the one that wears the pants aka his puppet master GINNY. Throughout the whole episode I was certain nothing would be done about these ethics rules and was pleasantly surprised at the end when John found a way to make everyone legally pay attention. He has used flaws and loopholes in the law system in previous episodes to point out things that need to be fixed.

New York Mets vs Los Angeles Dodgers 2024 NLCS championship series shirt, hoodie, tank top, long sleeve tee

Well he doesn’t actually need that anymore. I’m quite sure he already has access to all the New York Mets vs Los Angeles Dodgers 2024 NLCS championship series shirt so you should to go to store and get this grift $ he desires. Shit if he does take the deal we won’t be able to get a new pick because the rest of the government is still fucked I would have to guess he’s getting bribes worth much more than this offer by staying, so he won’t accept it even if he hears about it. This brings up a question I don’t know the answer to. I believe it is generally illegal (or should be) or at least a violation of “ethical rules” for pretty much any government employee to accept significant non-salary, non-government gifts or money in exchange for doing their job, because the assumption is that they might do their job in a way that is influenced by the money or gifts.

As Oliver pointed out during the New York Mets vs Los Angeles Dodgers 2024 NLCS championship series shirt so you should to go to store and get this episode, there really isn’t any enforceable ethics code that applies to the Supreme Court. The justices are basically responsible for regulating themselves outside of the risk of impeachment by Congress, though that doesn’t come with a specific definition of unethical behavior. I don’t have much but I’ll even donate what I can if it would help convince you to take the deal and fuck right off, buddy. When my parents worked for Boeing they had a guy from the military who would come regarding the programs. He couldn’t even accept the communal coffee. They literally had a cup he’d put a quarter in for every cup he got. I couldn’t accept anything when I worked the census. But apparently Clarence Thomas is “fine”. John, you should make an offer to the decision-maker in that family, Ginni the Grip. Clarence can’t even recognize a pubic hair these days.

How I can buy this New York Mets vs Los Angeles Dodgers 2024 NLCS championship series shirt

They’re both pieces of shit so I don’t know what this Ummm….. what? is unless you’ve been living under a rock. This episode of John Oliver’s show was quite the New York Mets vs Los Angeles Dodgers 2024 NLCS championship series shirt so you should to go to store and get this eye-opener: the MANY free luxury vacations; the ultimately free motor coach; Ginni’s involvement in the attempted overthrow of Biden’s election with no recusal from cases pertaining to Trump. The corruption!! Oliver’s offer of the one million dollars per year and the luxury motor home to Thomas is brilliant. Fingers crossed!! He basically spelled out how Thomas and his wife arealready accepting gifts/bribes from conservative billionaires, and he has often actually decided some of their cases before the court. None of them were his friends before he joined the court but now are some of his ‘closest friends’ which Thomas says makes it ok to accept gifts from them. Which is totally unethically but there’s no repercussions because the SCOTUS basically decides on what is unethically and when to recuse themselves.
One of the New York Mets vs Los Angeles Dodgers 2024 NLCS championship series shirt so you should to go to store and get this gifts was a big motor coach that he vacations in worth $250k that he bought with a loan from one of the said billionaires who later waived the loan all together, others being yacht vacations worth $500k and exclusive golfing resort stays, luxury box football suites etc. Thomas was also quoted saying that the $300k that SC justices make isn’t enough for what they do, the job is too stressful for that small amount of pay. The billionaires basically started giving him gifts after this to keep him from retiring. So Oliver, noting the courts are about to decide some major decisions that he shouldn’t be involved in but refuses to recuse himself on like Jan 6th, offered him a new $2.5mil motorcoach and to pay him $1million a year for the rest of either lives (til one of them dies) to retire. 107 more repliesWatch last week tonight. I’m pretty sure Oliver puts all the episodes in YouTube the next day for free
Last time I checked the New York Mets vs Los Angeles Dodgers 2024 NLCS championship series shirt so you should to go to store and get this main story segments are available on YouTube but the intro news roundup segments aren’t. That may have changed, though. Thomas is being paid more than that by his right-wing buddies to stay on the Supreme Court, so we need to up the ante. When I was a kid, like 5th grade, we had to write a paper on a famous black person for Black History Month. At the time my dad was going to law school and was very close with one of his professors who happened to be a good friend of justice Thomas. My dad suggested writing a paper on him because Thomas was coming to town to be a guest speaker in his class and the professor said I could meet him. So I write this whole 5 page paper as a kid, got all dressed up and excited to meet this famous and “respectable” man of history. Only to find out he was a huge fucking asshole. My first taste of how disgusting humans can be was meeting him. He signed my paper though so I guess that’s cool /s Rich folks are trying to influence the Supreme Court with money, but it’s OK because Thomas is considered a conservative …
