If you unironically use “woke” as a pejorative, I immediately assume that you are an idiot whose opinions are worthless and should be ignored. Really? I do quite well with deadlines. Am retired now so have to create artificial deadlines to do certain chores. Are you opposed to verbalizing this phrase or you believe it is is untrue in all circumstances? I recently had to do a personal SWOT analysis. One of my weaknesses is that if I don’t have a deadline I’ll procrastinate. So I agree with this statement. As someone who hates when a deadline is treated ultra-rigidly, deadlines are absolutely the best motivation and your boss is far from psychopathic simply for having a motivational phrase printed on office materials. Terrible habit, but most school projects throughout my life have been things I’ve cobbled together in the three days before it’s due, because a looming deadline gets you motivated. People that use should of, those who refer to their pets as their children, expresso, forced italian accent, “foodies”, “old money” , people that think Bobby Lee is/was funny Or those who just straight up say slurs like “fa**ot” or the n word. I instantly see you as a lesser being usually lol

“Get over it” anytime that’s said, changes how I view that person, especially if they’re saying that to someone grieving over an unusual pet such as a hamster or a fish. But it’s still assholey to say it to anyone grieving over anything. When my best friend died a year later it effected me heavily I was extremely underweight, tired, and alone. My mom told me to get over it and spend time with her. Like???
