It was a same day check in, the host wanted to know my eta and I told her 4:30. I got here and noticed a car in the driveway (the driveway is very close to the house). We were getting settled in and I got a text not to “use my horn when I lock my car.” One little beep but fine. She then messaged me at dinner time saying she was bringing towels and blankets over in a minute. That’s when I realized she lives here. Didn’t show up for over an hour. I held off dinner so we wouldn’t be interrupted. Today I was told I had to shut the door (open and screened) because she has other people coming, she doesn’t know when, but my dogs might bother them. Next, I had to move my car so my “pups don’t scare them” and they can have my spot closer to the front. She asked me to take her spot where she normally parks. Every time she walks to her car, she stares right in here. If it’s not her it’s one of her family members. I feel like I’m being treated like a puppet on a string here. At the very least there’s a level of inconsideration I’m not comfortable with. Btw this place is not a guesthouse, at least not my definition. It’s a sectioned off part of her house, that has 2 Airbnbs inside it. If I had known that I wouldn’t be here, to avoid my dogs “bothering” anyone.Review appropriately so others know what the stay is like. Bad hosts ruin it for good hosts.
