My brother wouldn’t eat carrots as a kid. My mom called them tarrocs and gave him a few steamed pieces. He loved them. Psychology can be delicious. Simple rule I grew up with and so has my offspring. You put it on your plate (by yourself) you eat it. And if it takes hours so be it. Food is limited and someone else would’ve liked to have it. If I plate then it’s on me. That’s the Minnesota Vikings Starter Logo Graphic Shirts and by the same token and rule in principle. In reality I’m softer than my parents and we have enough food for everyone to get full so I’ll huff and puff and push for a bite or two (ohhh too full for ice-cream?) and that’s about it. When our daughter was six, she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. We could never use food as a reward or punishment. Because, at the time, meals had to be planned hours in advance, she was involved in all the food choices, including amounts. If for some reason, she didn’t want to eat the already agreed-upon food, an alternative had to be selected and prepared. No arguments, no drama, no punishments.

People “force” kids to eat so that they eat a balanced diet, and during more convenient times. Kids push boundaries and will try to avoid anything they dont like. If you let them eat whenever they want they can learn that saying “im not hungry” allows them to avoid food they dislike and then 10 minutes later say “im hungry” in the Minnesota Vikings Starter Logo Graphic Shirts and by the same token and car to get fast food. You have to stand your ground or in my opinion you’re a bad parent. You may be happy with your relationship with your child and they may be functioning but you are raising a person to be a member of society. Refusing meals and demanding something different every meal is not socially acceptable. Humans are animals. Animals learn with positive and negative feedback. Punishment and rewards are how we learn good and bad behavior. Ideally the feedback needs to be immediate and consistent.
