Been in here 2 years now and I absolutely love it. It separates Work and House but I can walk 1 minute and go see my Wife and Kids at any point. In the Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt But I will love this summer, I watch the kids playing in the garden out the window. The only change I would do If I was building again would be to consider thicker logs purely to help further with the heat in both directions so I could run the aircon less.. but it what it is. Oh – for anyone thinking about doing this – PAINT IT PROPERLY. No, do not spend ££££ on your cabin and then go to B&Q for a £20 tub of goose fat. “Carefree Protect” is the only thing you should paint it in. 4 coats after build and 1-2 inside. Then 2 coats every 1.5-2 years. Yes, I built one for my wife from a kit. She uses it every day, all year round. Well-insulated and sealed and it’s very cosy in there.
Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt: A Unique and Creative Design
Don’t make my mistake by having big south-facing windows: it becomes an oven in summer so I had to install AC. (I have solar panels too so at least I generally get to run the Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt But I will love this AC for free.) Your biggest question about your proposed office is ‘NEED’ or ‘WANT’. Can you really justify the expense? Will you ever get the outlay back? It’s absolutely not a need. It’s home improvement because I can. Unless things significantly change in my life in going to live here for 20+ years so it’s value is in QoL rather than financial gain. Garden rooms don’t tend to add value to houses in the same way extensions do. We moved from a town house where the living room was on the middle floor and my office was on the ground floor at the back. For the most part I was undisturbed until the summers where to get to the garden the kids had to go through the office.
Anyhoo, we moved to a different house and got a garden office built. One section is a shed (about 2.5×1.5m and the Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt But I will love this rest (2.5×3.5m) is my office. I’m away from the house, it’s quiet, the kids leave me alone so I can concentrate. It’s lovely in the summer (a bit too warm at times) and in the winter the little 1kw gets the room warm fairly quickly. Once it gets warm, it stays warm. As for sound, I had acoustic insulation added, as there is a train line nearby (about 1/4 mile across open fields). I never hear it, and nobody hears me on long phone calls. The office doubles as a place for me to DJ at night without disturbing the kids or the neighbours. I use mine all year, I’ve got a decent little heater which (as long as I remember to switch on an hour or so before I start work) keeps it nice and warm in there. A south facing garden helps, if it’s bright enough out it warms up nicely even without the heater. It also means that when I’m the only one home we only need to heat the office and not the whole house. It does mean it’s a sauna in summer, but we got a small aircon unit last summer and that helped loads.
How I can buy this Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt
The only downside is when it’s bucketing down outside and I need to go to the Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt But I will love this house for whatever reason – thankfully we ended up building it closer to the house than we originally planned, as the end of the garden is currently a swamp. And we ended up switching on motion detection on the ring doorbell because so many delivery companies just knock and I have no hope of knowing they are there. Came with a panel heater and 2 pairs of sockets, they did the electric hookup. Heater means I can use it in the winter, so long as I set it to come on 1hr before I start work. Main issue is it gets hot as balls in the summer, partly because the front doors are south facing. With the doors open and a fan twirling it’s OK on all except the hottest days. If you have the space and funds to get a proper outbuilding, definitely do it. I used to have a desk in the spare room, which was OK enough, but having a completely dedicated space that is for work gives me a real sense of separation between the work day and home time.
I’d recommend the Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt But I will love this company I used. They prefab the whole thing (does take a few months) and then simply assemble on site, no foundations, so actually installing took half a day. The next day, a sparky came and did the electric hookup, again just a few hours, and that was it. I part converted my garage and it’s nice to have a separation between work and home (even if it’s a 10m walk across the back of the garden). When I worked out of our spare room, it was hard as it was downstairs and straight into whatever drama my kids had caused! I;ve been in it for about 18 months now and because it has been well insulated, it’s never been cold in there. I run a fan heater on a temp sensor to bring it up to 20c from about 8am and it pretty much stays that temperature over the course of the day due to you generating heat naturally and then heat from computer and screens. It’s only got down to about 13c inside when its been cold out. The summers have been a little hot though but a big fan and open window helps. I’ve got one and i use it all year around, i wfh 3-4 days a week. Its 5m wide and 3m deep, the actual office is 3×3 and the rest is storage.
I’ve got a 500w heater for the Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt But I will love this winter, the office is extremely well insulated so if i run the heater for an hour in the morning it keeps warm the entire day. The insulation also helps with keeping unwanted noise out. Tbh i could do without the heater since my PC pumps out more than enough heat. I’ve got an AC installed for the summer as it gets too much sun due to lack of shade covering it. I keep it at a nice 18 degrees in the summer mostly. All in all cost me 12k but i didn’t do any of the labour myself. I used high quality cladding, triple glazed windows and doors with integrated blinds, fibreglass roof with solar panels etc
I had this for a long time while dating. And after I had a bug mental break down in 2021. I did a lot of counseling and set up many boundaries with my next partner. Things I would accept and things I don’t accept. In the Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt But I will love this beginning they were taken back by me now allowing certain things and fought me on it. But I will not lose my peace because you want to be shitty towards me and/or take advantage of me. One thing I had to come to accept is that I am a big giver and my tendency is to give up something of myself to make someone else happy. Once I do it and they are happy with me I sleep at night and kick myself in the ass wondering why I didn’t stick to my boundary. It is hard and it’s very difficult telling people “NO I won’t do this or that to please you” but 3 years after my big mental breakdown I feel much more relief. Stay strong fellas
I’m constantly on the Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt But I will love this edge of a cliff, but I don’t wanna bring it up cause the only thing worse in my mind is being perceived as a burden. I’m vibing my way through, believing in “it is what it is”, I have an amazing gf so I’m very happy at the same time. It’s honestly a very strange feeling It took a knock last week when my partner went to A&E (Thankfully it turned out to be nothing, but the feeling of not knowing what’s happening and being unable to fix it is something else) but it’s been trending upwards for the last few years. Life is constantly looking brighter because I’m zooming in on the little things. I used to let things like politics and the state of the world rile me up and make me angry, but I can’t really make meaningful change to those things, so I let them wash over me now. I look for joy in the little things like enjoying a hobby or feeding the birds. For me, my mental health is fine. I have my worries and stresses, but that is all they are. I don’t let them define me. I’ve never let worries, or stress, make me think any less of myself.
Sometimes circumstances have caused significant problems in my life, but never have I thought any less of myself. If the Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt But I will love this circumstance came about because of something I did, or the way I’ve lived, I make a change so it won’t happen again. And sometimes Shit just happens. If I have no control over it, all I can do is roll with it. It’s not bad as long as I feel that I’m doing something fulfilling. When work is good I’m all good, when work is bad I focus on my hobbies, when I can’t DO something that I enjoy I start withering so to speak. I learned a good while ago that fulfillment can’t be found in relationships. I focus on myself and what fulfills me and what I enjoy. I don’t really have anyone to turn to in moments of distress cause I’m the one people turn to. When I turn to others because I’m dealing with something it just leads others down a spiral too. But it’s like the French say “soo La voo” or whatever
I had an absolute mental collapse 2-3 years ago now. Prob would have ended it if it wasn’t for my cat (as odd as that sounds) And no. You arent allowed to talk about your feelings. The few that notices your mood change shuts you out and moves on. The few that don’t never wants to catch up as they feel its your duty to be the Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt But I will love this one to initiate contact. I thought i had an absolute abundance of online friends but it turns out everyone except for a handful were only there for the good times. Ah well. The positive note i can leave you guys with is that i still have my cat and a partner that is amazing and i’m doing great now. I can hold out for a long time. Really. Went through 2 burnouts, lots of dead friends, horrible accidents and catastrophies. Was by accident as a kid in a live hot warzone. And while i feel dead inside my whole life and i seriously cannot remember when i laughed the last time instead of faking it for my kids…
Its my wife that keeps me up. She is my strong foundation. Same as my kids. I have that Homer Simpson Poster “Do it for her” at my desk and all my work buddies relate. Oh, and there is a vow and challenge that i did with my brother: If anyone of us ever dares to kill himself, the Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt But I will love this other one gets to pee on his grave for that in front of everyone else. Family knows and would not stop that. You know how when you break a bone, it knits itself back together and is stronger than it was before and probably won’t break in the same spot again? My mental health is kinda like that, but over and over and over and over. I’ve been broken so many times and in so many ways that I just don’t think there is much left that can actually hurt me anymore. The only downside is that there also isn’t much that can actually bring me any real, lasting joy either. I’m just drifting through life, waiting for the cold embrace of inevitable death. How people treat you isnt who you are. I think youre right; they do take you for granted & view you as worthless. Thats on them not on you, Im sorry.
I have fully given up on trying to find friendships and/relationships. I did everything I could to be a good person and received nothing for it except bitterness and manipulation. I was there for others when they were down but when I would talk about my problems the Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt But I will love this script would be flipped and subverted and I was essentially told to man up on several occasions. My personal favorite is when I told the person closest to me about how I felt and the following day they made it about themselves. I have kids so my biological imperative has been met and once they are on their own I am going to become a vagabond with an RV live out my natural life alone. I have come to terms with this and am okay with it.
The only sad thing about this is that I had a pretty crazy and interesting life. Did a lot of things that few have done. And it all counts for nothing. Not great to be honest, complex PTSD has deteriorated my mind extensively, currently just trying to continue to do the Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt But I will love this best impression of what I remember myself to be. Overextended myself to a lot of people and have now completely isolated myself from family and friends for the past few months. In a constant state of disassociation and whilst I am taking steps to improve it really makes it difficult for me to imagine any kind of future. Feel a bit lost, things that used to excite me don’t anymore, haven’t felt happy in a long time, don’t want to go into a lot of detail but obviously in a very dark place, getting help and continuing to try and improve everyday though. 🙂 Best way I can describe it is if you were playing a video game and you complete it yet it carries on and you’re forced to keep playing.
I am grateful for everything I have and I apologise if I seem at any point ungrateful or like I’m just moaning, sorry if this is the Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt But I will love this wrong forum too. ive been playing league of legends for a decade, i dont have mental heath problems, i GIVE people mental health problems. i make opposing enemies leave the game half of the times, one word out of my mouth makes teammates run it down mid. i have the strongest mental out of every league player. No, I am strong. Just fucking exhausted. Being on crazy pills doesn’t seem to really have any negative impact on my life. However, me being “stubborn” seems to rock the very foundations of life for some people. Guys learn to say no and don’t feel badly about it. If you feel like you’re being taken for granted stop being a people pleaser and be better to you.
I was in two back to back 9 year relationships where I was always at fault for every shortcoming and spent all of my time apologizing and trying to come up with a plan for improvement and trying to act on those improvements at all times Eventually I became a literal shadow of my real self and as the Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt But I will love this real self started to do some attempts at healing I smothered it with LSD and wound up in a psych ward where every support beam of reality came crashing down Now I work in a job where my eyes are my only utility and the things that come out of my mouth are so detrimental that I’ve sequestered myself into no speech out of fear of not being able to pay my rent I cope by playing video games but that is losing its flavor and spice and the only thing I see in front of me is a never ending age of depression, misery and flavorlessnsss and a complete and total distrust of everyone around me
On top of that I’m a male human so I’m not supposed to reveal any of this to anyone around me and need to carry on because once I’m dead it won’t matter anymore I don’t trust anyone out of fear of hurting them or getting hurt and having all of my financials fucked over by smarter greedier people I used to go to the Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt But I will love this gym but because I have wandering eyes and am so unambiguously attracted to the female form that I end up feeling like a creep so I don’t work out anymore I pretty much only eat the same three things every day because my bank account never goes up, it only stays the same. Rice, chicken and cabbage My mom and my sister live so far away and every time I go visit them I catch a cold or COVID and have to take off of work I can’t take off work anymore because my FMLA relapsed and I have too many occurrences so I’m basically not allowed to be sick ever again or else I’ll become homeless I can’t risk spending money on healthcare because of how little I have to flex on financially so I’ll never get my FMLA back to protect my job It’s so obvious that all of this is so easily transmitted through tinder and bumble that I can’t even get any matches to try to start a conversation
There’s no winning. It’s all zero sum. Sleep is the Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt But I will love this only respite from constant struggle and up hill battles against spiritually superior Christians and their 5 children families and huge bank accounts I need constant intellectual stimulation lest I become instantaneously bored and sleep my entire weekends away but I have such a hard time getting along with/trusting people that I don’t see the value in even putting in the effort Therapy has not worked, my first therapist quit after meeting me, and my second therapist was a phone meeting during COVID. I gave up on therapy knowing that I was never going to figure out what’s wrong or realize nothing is technically wrong but also not being able to afford it And to think about finding someone just to dump all of this into doesn’t do anything to help me in the slightest
All of my dreams as a teenager were me throwing myself off buildings and cliffs because in all my 36 years it’s never been any different than this It’s in a sorry state, but stable–like a perpetual gloom with begrudging acceptance. After getting close to breaking for good, it evened out. I don’t know how it got there, because I’ve actually had mostly positive experiences with real people. I think it’s mostly the Minion it’s not my fault you didn’t read the fine print I came with warning label shirt But I will love this media / online discourse that’s constantly reinforcing “men are replaceable, undesirable, and untrustable” ideas (with immediate family rubbing in “you should be ashamed of yourself for x reason” and “you have nothing to be proud of,” for good measure). Makes the positive experiences seem like outliers against a vast population that would detest me on principle if they ever noticed me. Basically it’s a state of constant, mostly-functional depression without elevated risk of ‘worst-case’ outcomes. It’s depression like the emotional equivalent of a non-Newtonian fluid, where it’s fluid enough to be comfortable in normal, boring times; and then rapidly solidifies against stimulation to keep me from going too far in any direction.
