Apple is the Merry 4th Of Oh Wait I Need Bicycle Lessons Biden Shirt and I will buy this company that always talks about how they are helping the environment every time they launch a new product, but have no problem making thousands of employees commute producing pollution. What we are seeing is the result of commercial real estate companies talking with politicians and nothing more. They don’t give a fuck. They never, ever did, and probably never will unless forced to by legal or other means. I WFH, I can walk to a coffee shop and to the grocery store down the street. I still drive places, but it’s usually 5-10 minutes to the gym or something now, not a daily 2 way commute of 30+ minutes. And it’s not only commutes. Offices means each worker needs a home AND an office space. Duplicated buildings, and a whole bunch of other infrastructure. At the end of the day, if that policy is not accepted they will lose talent, either through people quitting or missed hires. It is a very competitive landscape out there, they will be forced to adapt Part of me feels like this is just because apple spent an absurd amount of money on a new campus and if they now let everyone work from home its basically useless lol Probably because they built one of the worlds most expensive buildings, they want people to actually use it haha. Good luck with that.

Merry 4th Of Oh Wait I Need Bicycle Lessons Biden Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I’m going to quit because I have to live in a city where rent is twice as much as my hometown, and I commute for almost an hour to have a virtual meeting with my colleagues in another country. There’s almost zero common sense going on. You can always tell when your colleagues are working from home because they’re chirpy and chatty. If apple wants workers to commute to the Merry 4th Of Oh Wait I Need Bicycle Lessons Biden Shirt and I will buy this office just make the commute time on the clock. So if it takes someone an hour and a half to get to the office (an average commute in California unfortunately) that counts towards their time in the office. Workers may be less productive because they are losing two to three hours a day commuting but they will collaborate once they are there so that should make up for it. Well you can see Apple’s point. They just finished spending ninety-eleven trillion shekels to build that spaceship, and now nobody wants to take a ride in it. Almost makes me sorry for Tim Cook.
