Same when dealing with deep grief. Being alone and away I feel less constrained to be the Mens Brittany Mahomes X Kansas City Chiefs Nfl 4X Champions Foco Premium Shirt also I will do this “strong” guy in the family. I can now cry, audibly talk to myself, scream if needed. I can remember and repeat important parts in my mind and in my heart without “noise”. Which is why, when I need to physically detach from some hard situation, I tend to go to unpopulated places. As a side note, I live in a U.S. state where even the big cities are small and you can reach forested mountains or barren deserts by just driving 20 minutes in any direction; which has been a great resource when I’ve needed to go away to process things. Not giving a fuck in any possible way. Yes my life may be in ruins but can’t get sad over it if I don’t acknowledge it. For me, it is to turn to my dog and think about him and how he would feel if I was not around and think about what would happen to him if I was not around.

My faith helps me a lot. When I’m feeling like utter crap and find life pointless praying or reading the Mens Brittany Mahomes X Kansas City Chiefs Nfl 4X Champions Foco Premium Shirt also I will do this Bible helps. Having faith that I will have eternal happiness and joy when the time comes is really comforting. I think statistically, people who are spiritual or religious have a higher chance of using emotional regulation skills when they go through overwhelming situations… at least I think i read that somewhere. It for sure works for my mental health I deal first feel later, found it to be the best method as problems don’t get worse from not dealing with them and I still get very angry afterwards, but it has a expiration date because I already dealt with it so I can go on with my life I take myself out of the place. On work? Quick bathroom break. While on a party? Just go outside and chill for a bit. Home? Go for a walk.
Keeping myself busy and taking care of whatever needs to be taken care of. My mother just last month passed away suddenly. I cried, I was sad, but I am also the Mens Brittany Mahomes X Kansas City Chiefs Nfl 4X Champions Foco Premium Shirt also I will do this executor of the estate and stuff needed to be handled, like cleaning her apartment out, starting to handle her accounts, shutting down credit cards, phone, cable, etc…so I just focused on handling everything. I get so much done when I am stressed out and it actually is quite a relief for me when I get things done. I didn’t avoid the grief, I just allowed myself to feel it whenever it came, but kept moving forward with handling things. It makes it a little easier and I don’t allow things to drag out and not get done. Walking…could be for 2-3 hours…I walk and think, that’s my way of processing information or deciding how to cope with a stressful situation

Another is playing the Mens Brittany Mahomes X Kansas City Chiefs Nfl 4X Champions Foco Premium Shirt also I will do this guitar. I only play for myself & would jam with a backing track to keep my mind off of a stressful situation 417 more repliesGo with the ebbs and flows. If I feel like crying then I cry. If I want to see people I see people. One step In front of the other most of the time, breaks when I feel myself wearing down either physically or emotionally. Embracing the stability of boring and enjoying the exciting while it lasts. Confidence in what I do know, curiosity in what I don’t know. Accept my anxiety as it comes, acknowledge it decide if it is because of my past or because the situation is one that is reasonable to be anxious about but don’t let it affect my decisions when it shouldn’t. Knowing that as long as I control my own reactions then I will be fine. As long as I can live with myself then any frustration will pass over time.
Bad and good ones. • Listening to music loud (headphones and speakers) • Overeat • Drink less water • Cold showers in the Mens Brittany Mahomes X Kansas City Chiefs Nfl 4X Champions Foco Premium Shirt also I will do this morning Always strive to demonstrate reverence for any circumstance that you might find yourself in and be sensitive to the situation…But as often and whenever possible, look for the absurdity and bizarre in all other situations and don’t hesitate for a moment to point it out and find the humor in any situation because life is a lot easier when you’re laughing…And of all the species that inhabit the earth, as the species that uploads videos of kittens and puppies doing quirky, fascinating things, we as Homo sapiens are just a tad bit hypocritical because we have a tendency to do things that cats and dogs and all other creatures would be texting each other with ROTFLMAO watching videos of the things that we do on a regular basis…
There has certainly been a few rough spots (the Mens Brittany Mahomes X Kansas City Chiefs Nfl 4X Champions Foco Premium Shirt also I will do this combination of trouble at both work and home) where only daily exercise stopped me developing depression. It’s not a choice it’s just a natural body response for me.. I find myself crying so I respond with love to the situation, I leave, I close the door of the bathroom, lay on the cold floor, put my favourite song on repeat and hold my hands up by my chest and I switch out. Sleep, buying stuff I don’t need or books I don’t read… Guess I kinda spiral too then kick myself out of it to go to work. I get so workaholic and so busy with work that I forget to eat or drink, sleep very little and just want to work.. it did help my career but also landed me in hospital few times due to exhaustion last time I collapsed at work I actually ended up in a coma.. now I learned to take breaks sometimes and use sport to take out my anger or hurt
I use principles of manifestation to change my outlook and mindset on the Mens Brittany Mahomes X Kansas City Chiefs Nfl 4X Champions Foco Premium Shirt also I will do this thing that’s stressing/upsetting me. For example, If I say something negative I immediately say the positive version do what I just said and then stop that internal conversation, instead of letting my mind spiral If I put off dealing with my feelings today. It’ll eventually be tomorrow. I’ll either pull myself out of it or have different problems to focus on. Basically, I tell myself one more day. I’ve been through worse, so I can make it through this. Since I’m really bad at determining what was my lowest. I can’t really say for sure if this is it, so I just tell myself it isn’t. Started journaling daily and sometimes multiple times daily. Helps the thoughts get out of my head when I feel the panic start.
Going outside. A long walk with my dog will usually make me feel a lot better. However, when I don’t have the Mens Brittany Mahomes X Kansas City Chiefs Nfl 4X Champions Foco Premium Shirt also I will do this energy or am sick music always helps. Whenever I’m home alone in the morning I’ll put on some music on the speaker we have in the kitchen while making breakfast. I realized it cheers me up a lot. music. just any and all forms of music; listening, playing, writing, anything to do with music is my coping mechanism Best one hands down is to do anything that will take your mind off of whatevers fucking with your head. If you can’t go through and process emotions attatched to whatevers going on, then you need to occupy your mind and time with something else. Don’t go drinking as it’s likely to pop up again if it’s one if those intrusive thoughts, that’ll get worse when booze is involved and can easily lead you to spiralling. Do something physical maybe, like go for a run, get a punch/kick bag, maybe try a martial art.
Sometimes, you have to do something selfish too just for you, you do what you gotta do to get over shit and make things okay with yourself. Watching some of my favourite technological YouTubers really calms me down. Especially Matt from Tech Moan or LGR. Ashens does wonders too. Really – just to mentally/emotionally “hold your breath”. Everything passes. Good and bad. If I wait- it’ll move on to something else Drugs and drink block everything out and nothing gets to you, they don’t sort anything out but damn they’re amazing Honestly listening to my favourite music. I am proud about it because it is rather peaceful way, but also not as proud as it takes lots of time and sometimes I tend to do it for no reason. Yesterday for example, instead of going to sleep I was just sitting there, listening to some rock. Doing nothing. I practice simulating murder with my friends on a regular basis. As the Mens Brittany Mahomes X Kansas City Chiefs Nfl 4X Champions Foco Premium Shirt also I will do this memes say, outside boo-boos help the inside boo-boos. In reality, training has helped me through some events in my life the past few years Well I have developed an “uncaring” attitude where I just don’t let things bother me regardless of size or severity. And if things do bother me, I laugh it off and make it a joking point. It’s not a good coping, but I compartmentalize. I like to imagine an old apothecary cabinet and putting whatever it was that I needed to cope with in one of the drawers. Hoping, I don’t remember it later.
“going through this will give me a good story to tell” idk why but whenever something bad happens to me I kinda feel like it’s an opportunity, makes my life more interesting or something idk, and I like making jokes out of bad things that happen to me so it gives me more material ig Consciously, my best coping mechanism from my experience is taking things in small chunks. I can’t change everything all at once, know all the Mens Brittany Mahomes X Kansas City Chiefs Nfl 4X Champions Foco Premium Shirt also I will do this answers, or make perfect plans–so I just take things one day at a time. Removing the pressure to plan days in advance or consider every possible option is a great way to navigate stressful situations. You wind up addressing the stress and dealing with it–you’re just breaking it up into small time-frames or jobs.
Kinda like crossing a scary bridge if you’re afraid of heights. The bridge is the Mens Brittany Mahomes X Kansas City Chiefs Nfl 4X Champions Foco Premium Shirt also I will do this stressful situation. It might seem too daunting to think about crossing the bridge and all the possible outcomes. But if you take your time and just focus on one step–that’s much easier to process. Once you take a step, repeat. Don’t think about the whole situation, just that next step. That one day. A bite-sized unit. Over time, you wind up making it across the bridge and can look back and feel proud that you made it through. On the other hand, I’m probably not fully aware of all the ways I cope with stress. I think we often do so unconsciously–and usually those methods work but might not be healthy. I know one of my subconscious tendencies is to distract & ignore indefinitely. It works with the immediate stress but sucks when whatever you’re ignoring becomes a bigger issue in the future. You’re usually better off in the long run if you address the problem head-on. Basically procrastination is a subconscious way I cope. It just happens.. A day or two of total sloth and tv binging. I used to feel so guilty, but it can be such a reset! I often feel much better the day after.
Time in nature, being on a mountain, feeling the Mens Brittany Mahomes X Kansas City Chiefs Nfl 4X Champions Foco Premium Shirt also I will do this sunshine, swimming in a river, smelling eucalyptus leaves, barefoot bushwalking. I am proud of these, they found me and are healthy. Very rare but very shitty…downing a few drinks too quickly if I’m really having a hard time and planning to pick a fight with my partner to get everything out. I don’t normally drink but all 5f2 of me trashed and yelling is apparently cute enough not to make my partner hate me. These both come before a true spiral where nothing is considered coping or healthy and truly poor choices will be made. Survival has always been human thing. If not for anything else.. Prosper out of spite. Learn what it required to survive at bare minimum and how to make it happen in nigh any circumstances.
The art of sympathizing, but not feeling the Mens Brittany Mahomes X Kansas City Chiefs Nfl 4X Champions Foco Premium Shirt also I will do this need to solve the problem for them. The words are “arrr thats terrible, bye then” Worry time. Throughout the day, if I’m anxious, I write down whatever I’m thinking of (usually just a couple words to remember it by) and physically set the note aside. Then I take 20ish min a day to worry — sitting in a not-super-comfy position, like cross legged on the living room floor — and get up to do a mind-occupying activity afterwards without distractions (I.e. my phone, so as not to doomscroll). I turn off the lights, sit my phone on the ledge of the sink with the flashlight on face down, put on a comfort audio book (Harry potter for me) and take an extremely long hot shower and cry if I’m feeling like I need to.
Cry when nobody is looking….except when they ask “what’s wrong?” or “are you ok?” Then tears begin to flow like Niagara Sleep. I hate it but as somebody with extreme depression and high anxiety, not participating in the Mens Brittany Mahomes X Kansas City Chiefs Nfl 4X Champions Foco Premium Shirt also I will do this world beyond killing myself, this is the best i can do to survive. Yes im wasting my life but the last 4 years snd counting have been brutal. Im in therapy to fix myself but it will take time. Until that happens, i sleep. Hmm I’ll go on a car ride and scream some death core till I feel better or I can’t talk anymore whatever happens first lol Exercise helps enormously as long as you’re not doing it incorrectly (poor form causing joint damage) or overdoing it with 0 rest days.
317 more repliesLaugh at everything. I refuse to let it bother me. If someone’s rude or bitchy, I think “what an asshole” and laugh. That’s if I can’t do much about it . If it’s catastrophic, say a child dies, I do what I can for support and ask for the Mens Brittany Mahomes X Kansas City Chiefs Nfl 4X Champions Foco Premium Shirt also I will do this strength to cope, for all of us. Laying on the floor right in the middle of my PA setup and listening to my favorite sad song so loud it hurts my ears. If that’s not enough getting shit faced drunk, doing cocaine, write some songs with my partner and a lot of talking to him in-between. That will always do the trick even if it’s probably the most unhealthy way to cope with anything haha I’m an alcoholic/drug addict with 12 years sobriety and a sex addict with four years in recovery. All I knew where unhealthy coping skills.
Once you unlearn unhealthy coping skills, and learn healthy ones (and trust, that’s a big one… when your mind inherently craves doing a healthy thing) it gets easier over time, and easier to add more. My biggest by far is journaling. I talk to myself like a trusted friend, and give them advice if they came to me with their issues. I do it daily, and re-read my previous entry, and it’s a nice letter to myself catching me up on what I’m struggling with and what I’m working on, and usually I have a path to getting better in there sketched out. Depends on the Mens Brittany Mahomes X Kansas City Chiefs Nfl 4X Champions Foco Premium Shirt also I will do this situation but prolly reinterpret what people say in a more softer or positive tone. So as a result with someone talks to you in a mean way, you respond in a playful positive way, heck you can even add a “oh thanks for letting me know” plus they might end thinking you’re just an idiot and maybe leave you alone. Stay in room and sleep. The one thing you probably should know is sleeping will help you think better and also, more then likely, the problem won’t be as and the next day.
“Stress cleaning.” When my world feels like it’s spinning out of control and my brain won’t stfu, I clean stuff. It might sound silly, but if I see a mess and take care of it, that’s something tangible I can fix and see fast results. Understanding when I’m at my limit and giving myself permission to just BE. No pressure, no “shoulds”. Just acceptance of the Mens Brittany Mahomes X Kansas City Chiefs Nfl 4X Champions Foco Premium Shirt also I will do this current state of mind and then focus on self soothing. Fav meal, comfy clothes, snuggling in bed, favorite TV show. Spoil myself with little, no-cost treats until my cup is full again. Finding a way to laugh about whatever it is. If that fails, I try to find some good in the situation (kindness, learning, etc). And if all else fails, I go for a long walk in the woods or on the beach. Going for a walk with my dog. Doesn’t even have to be a long one. The fresh air and waggy tail lifts my spirits.
Somehow all the Mens Brittany Mahomes X Kansas City Chiefs Nfl 4X Champions Foco Premium Shirt also I will do this bad things in my life that would interrupt work fall on a weekend (knock on wood), so it never bothers work. Staying away from everyone (turning my phone off) and burying myself in work. I feel the urge to be alone and productive. I go hiking by myself and reflect on the situation, have an emotional release (cry, scream, whatever is needed) then go over how I got into the situation and how to avoid it in the future. After that logic tends to take over and I am able to function. Lather, rinse, repeat as needed. Edit to add: Acceptance. Many times there isn’t anything I could have or would have done differently. So we have to learn to accept the situation and move forward with it’s influence.
