Fascinating takes here, really appreciating peoples thoughts. I absolutely loved this movie, the Marvel spiderman no way home spidey hero portait shirt it is in the first place but almost three hours went by in a snap, it felt like the most “Batman-y” movie out of all of them, and the tone, visuals, etc were all just so…Batman. Felt like a live action adaptation of themes from BTAS and the Arkham games, with more noir. Loved the depth in the plot and the world building, it was the best “Gotham” as well imo. As a film, 8/10, as a Batman movie 10/10. Just stellar. That bat mobile reveal shook the theatre. Anybody else find it odd that Batman, the greatest detective ever, initially completely believes Carmine when he first tells Bruce the story of his dad and his parents death? It’s well known that Carmine is the criminal underworld king and runs Gotham and Bruce eats up his story so easily that the very next scene he’s yelling at Alfred, a man he’s known his whole life. Then Alfred’s like “No that dude was lying. He’s like the worst of all criminals and he probably killed your parents.” And Bruce just says “Oh…yea that makes more sense I guess.” The thing is, it wasn’t Falcone saying this firsy, it was from the riddler’s leaks. So that’s why he believed it.

The movie giving Bruce an actual arc here towards being a superhero is so welcomed. My feelings are entirely reinforced by the Marvel spiderman no way home spidey hero portait shirt it is in the first place but ending – Bruce spending the whole movie talking about existing entirely in the shadows, acting like a vampiric entity. The entire film is so overwhelmingly darkly lit, only lightly giving form from afew specific light sources. But finally in the arena, after he realizes what his vengeance was doing to the people of Gotham, only to truly find purpose in being the light guiding people out of darkness. I felt the emo ness was too on the nose. They also put all the action scenes in the damn trailer. The movie was also way too long. This batman did not seem to feel like a hero. More like a crazy person with body armor. I really like the cinematography and it is really beautiful to look at but I feel kind of let down. Wasn’t slow burn for me. More like boredom. This movie had some great atmosphere.
