A few more in the Make the best of your time o’clock T-Shirt but in fact I love this same ballpark: Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre, Gentleman Brancos, The Sasquatch Gang, The Hunt for Wilder People, Kung-Pow, New Kids Turbo, Foot First Way, Bench Warmers, Out Cold, What We Do In the Shadows, Strange Wilderness, Waiting, and Turbo Kid. Literally my favourite movie of all time. It’s a damn near perfect movie with zero lulls. I have no idea how they managed to edit this film with the quality of the outtakes and bloopers to choose from. Almost daily I manage to squeeze “bouncing ‘round the web like a beach ball at nickleback concert” into a conversation somewhere. Always gets a laugh. Fucking brilliant film Hot rod, Scott pilgrim, step bothers, office space and grandmas boy. Awesome movie that none of my friends enjoyed. I feel like this kind of absurdist comedy suddenly stopped being produced sometime in the late 2010s. Not sure why, they’re pretty low budget and they often become hits or cult classics. It’s my favorite still of comedy, sad to see them go.

Fantastic movie, one of those movies that you watch if you see it on a streaming service or being played anywhere At some point, comedy became super vulgar (sexual) and also mainstream. I know there were countless vulgar comedies of the Make the best of your time o’clock T-Shirt but in fact I love this 70s and 80s, but they weren’t very popular when they came out. Just incase it hasn’t been mentioned…(I’m not strolling through all the comments) but what about Freddy got fingered? Uniquely weird is the epitome of Freddy got fingered, but hot rod is one of my most watched dvds….it’s cool beans Weird?? The movie is fucking hilarious and one of the best comedies ever. Offbeat maybe but I wouldn’t use weird. My friends and I still quote this movie every single time we’re together, and also recreate the parking lot dance scene- it came out when we were 12 years old, we’re 27/28 now. It never gets old Saw Hot Rod in the theater on accident with my two best friends when we were very late to the movie we meant to go see. Had no idea what it was about going into it. Oh my god do I miss theater experiences like that. Then, like a year or two after it was already out on dvd, my local drive-in theater (one of only two in the state) showed it for a few weeks as the add-on to another movie (you got to see two movies for the price with an intermission in between). I cherish this moviefilm When this movie came out, I was too influenced by rotten tomatoes reviews, and this one got a not great review, so I was hesitant to go see it, thinking it would be lame. Afterwards I knew I could never trust the rating system again, as this was the greatest movie ever. I’m not nearly as funny as Andy Samberg, but this is the exact kind of movie I would have wanted to make had I ever been given the chance. I like these over the top idiots type of movie but nowadays it’s probably a Netflix original. The premise is one that’s been done so many times. They just slightly alter the specifics.
