Most Americans do not trust the Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt besides I will buy this government to run ANYthing without massive amounts of waste, graft and corruption. Because it’s not “free”. Healthcare is my single largest expense right next to mortgage. $1600 a month on healthcare. It’s not free, it is paid for with taxes, and proposed plans to make it happen would have me paying more in taxes to cover it than I pay in premiums. The government doesn’t have a good track record where they do handle health care, for veterans and for Native American tribes. The real irony is, the US government spends more on health care per person than any country in Europe, so if it’s a funding issue, they’re dead wrong. If they’re worried about waits, it took my aunt until a week before death vis CJD before they were even able to test her for it. Results? Yep, she has it! She’s also been dead for a week. 10 months to get my oldest into a neuro specialist. Yeah, pretty sure we already have that problem. It is not free. Someone has to pay for it. If you need below average healthcare and make above average income, you will pay for other peoples healthcare. And after paying all that money, when you yourself have a problem it might not even be covered. Now, in reality the gained collective bargaining power would probably offset all of this. And you already pay for other people in America. Hospitals can’t turn people away for immediate problems if they have no money. And you know they won’t be sitting on those costs. And the peoples issues won’t be fixed, so they will come back and back a lot. I was shocked to learn that private health care costs as much as the income taxes collected in other countries. You then NEED TO PAY 20K FOR A ROUTINE SURGERY because the INSURANCE ONLY COVERS PART OF IT.

Because the Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt besides I will buy this Republicans say that it’s bad. We believe our conservative leaders. Other than money why would they lie to us? American here. “Conservatives” are taught to hate poor people, even if they themselves are poor. Someone down on their luck is just lazy. Homeless people are subhuman. Thus anything that will help mostly the poor is just enabling people who don’t work hard. If it seems like a moronic position, remember the amount of lead poisoning in our country as well. If you have car insurance, you are already paying for other people’s auto accidents. Same applies to health insurance. Everyone pays in, those who need it are covered. That’s the entire concept of “Insurance” It’s no so much that, for me, as much as it’s “I don’t want to pay for your care if you fucked up your own life with poor choices”. My step-moms ex husband just got a liver transplant that, in my opinion, was a waste of a liver because he got fatty liver disease from over eating and doing little to no exercise ever in his adult life. He was grossly overweight and ate himself to liver failure. I’d be pissed if my taxes paid for that useless man to ruin a liver that could have gone to someone who would actually appreciated it.
Because they think it’s going to cost more money. Republicans don’t want it because it’s “socialism” oh my god! run!!! Most of them couldn’t spell socialism let alone tell you what it means. The healthcare insurance industry has a large D.C. lobby that fights against it as well. Corporate healthcare insurance makes billions of dollars so they’re not just going to let one political action make their entire corporation moot. Everyone has their hands in these pockets. The preferences of Americans aren’t actually reflected in our laws and policies, because the Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt besides I will buy this US is an oligarchy/kleptocracy with pseudo-democratic features. Another aspect is, Americans are drones/ serfs / cattle who have been taught to do things like mindlessly invest their retirement funds in the S&P 500, because that has produced good financial returns. Unfortunately, this means that they are investing in the very companies, like United Healthcare Group, Aetna, Humana, etc., that lobby against their own interests as Americans, “healthcare consumers”, humans, etc.

Where to buy this Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt
Americans are just cattle investing in their own slaughterhouses, who then act surprised when life expectancy goes down while healthcare costs and the Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt besides I will buy this profitability of the “healthcare” system goes up. But the system as it is means there are too many politicians who are paid to say “but that’s socialism!” and then walk away with mountains of cash, turning a blind eye to the Americans they’re robbing, enslaving, gaslighting, and socially murdering without recourse. Because the insurance companies make a lot of money and they put that money into lobby-ing and brainwashing people. I recently got a lot of hate for implying that the healthcare system in the US is wrong and that they should do something about it.
Because folks are more willing to fuck themselves over in the Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt besides I will buy this name of “not helping the poors”. Rich Americans – generally – are not willing to support a basic human right. Or maybe their richer counterparts block any legislation that might lead to a balanced, healthy society. It doesn’t help the right to have a healthy, well-educated populace. Why would they vote for that? It’s insane and very shortsighted. I think sometimes they forget they will have to live here. I’m gonna play Devil’s advocate, just because I have the time. I have to state though that I live in Europe, and love my universal healthcare. I make the point that universal healthcare is fundamentally incompatible with the american mindset. At it’s foundation, universal healthcare relies on preventive care above all to remain affordable. And I don’t mean just doctor visits. We are talking about regulating what you eat, what you drink, what you breathe, your lifestyle. We are ok with this in Europe, we understand that regulations exist for our own benefit. Does that mean I don’t have the freedom to eat whatever I want for cheap? Sure it does, and I couldn’t care less. The safety net that protects me from losing my home, my job, a family member, is more important than McDonalds and Wendy’s. If America can’t even pass meaningful regulations on gun ownership, because amendments, freedom of whatever, forget about regulating the crap the food industry uses as ingredients to lower the price and increase demand.
I don’t see it, I believe it is impossible without addressing other issues first, and I don’t think those issues will be addressed anytime soon. The underlying reason is that they do not trust government, any government so they insist on voting for the Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt besides I will buy this worst government that is possible. Just so they can continue to bitch about it. But then how would angry white men in rural states prevent somebody from getting vital health care they didn’t earn? They don’t want undesirables getting help on their dime while being ok with literal billions being spent on wars. No idea but it’s wonderful. Last week I visited my doctor and got prescribed enough insulin for 4 months. I paid nothing for these. What’s funny about these people is that they are the same ones screaming to take care of Americans first. Then they cry socialism whenever someone tries to take care of Americans first. What’s funny about these people is that they are the same ones screaming to take care of Americans first. Then they cry socialism whenever someone tries to take care of Americans first. I’ve heard some folks saying that if they pay taxes toward healthcare then they’re paying for everyone to have healthcare and they don’t like that.
They feel that it’s their money and if they pay for everyone then they’re losing money to strangers and maybe people who don’t “deserve” healthcare. Simple answer, if they get free healthcare they wont be able to go around the Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt besides I will buy this world starting random wars in random countries Ignorance, exacerbated by the idea being treated as a political and financial matter rather than a health care matter. Republican Americans are incredibly anti-tax and they think socialism is a bad word. They’d rather bankrupt themselves and have terrible infrastructure than all pitch in a little bit for everyone’s benefit. Every time I’ve driven from Ontario to Florida (or another southern destination), on either the eastern seaboard route or through the Midwest route, it is shocking to see the difference from Blue states to Red states (and even between Red states) once you’re off the interstate. For example, on the way to Myrtle Beach, SC, the last leg of the drive is on state highways and county roads. When you cross from NC to SC the roads are immediately not cared for and the school busses look like prison busses from the 60s. I understand that differences in population density and the overall wealth/poverty of the tax base plays an important role in this, but so does the unwillingness to pay an appropriate tax to take care of these things in the first place.
I will never understand how they prefer to pay a for-profit insurance company for services from a for-profit hospital instead of paying less money in taxes for non-profit government run insurance for services from non-profit hospitals where everyone wins. I’ve heard someone say, “I don’t want the Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt besides I will buy this government to be in control of what medical treatment I can get,” while not acknowledging that some company already does that (and that same person was anti-choice, wanting the government to control the medical treatment women can get…) Even the poorest conservative American seems to believe “every man for themselves” even to their own detriment. It’s so selfish. Because it “evens the playing field”. If you can’t buy your way to the front of the line, people worry they lose their privilege to cut. Because 300lb Jimbo thinks he can save money with the current system in total ignorance of the fact that he is just going to have to hope a GoFundMe will suffice when he needs care.
It’s just hysteria and intentional misinformation campaigns by people who gain from the Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt besides I will buy this for profit health insurance industry scam. It should be obvious that the rich and middle class will pay taxes into universal healthcare, which is far superior to being denied coverage, having to change doctors out of plan and being charged out the ass every time something happens that your insurance doesn’t want to cover Because lower middle class and poor rural voters live in fear of their tax dollars being used to pay for the health insurance of an “urban” family. They’ll cut off their own nose to spite their face on this issue. The lobbyists for the drug and healthcare companies will never allow it. They give the politicians too many donations to keep them from voting for universal healthcare.
I’m very conservative but this is one topic I just don’t agree with. The US should have universal healthcare. It could probably be funded by what employers already pay into the Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt besides I will buy this healthcare system but good luck getting this to ever pass. There are a lot of people making a lot of money off American healthcare. Those people pay lobbyists to fight anything that might eat into their profits. It’s not that most people don’t want it, it’s more like any politician who proposes it is likely to find themselves facing a very well financed opponent in their next election. It’s not that they fear free healthcare, it’s that they’re concerned with the fact it will apply to everyone. They’d rather pay more for less than have an unemployed single mother get the same coverage they do. For People who make decent incomes, it will cost them more than just buying insurance. If you’re making 500k a year you’re all the sudden paying 50k for health insurance whereas before you were paying 10-15 at most.
And to be clear it’s not super rare to make 500k. You can own a restaurant or be a plumbing contractor. Lots of Americans make those kinds of wages despite how Reddit makes it seem like all Americans are one paycheck away from being out on the Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt besides I will buy this street. There are more millionaires in the US than people that make less than $15/hr It’s free for lower income but generally speaking ends up taxing some of the hardest working and biggest earning people in the US. The money to pay for that system isn’t coming out of the military budget. It’s coming out of normal peoples pockets, typically those working full time and also investing most of their earnings into equities or other private investments. It’s a system that tries to equalize care. Most of the plans though being presented have all involved taxing “wall street” and where as everyone assumes that means taxing the rich? What it really means is borrowing from your retirement and making it harder for you to get ahead financially.
My home states public health care system is a prime example. It’s really dumb but I make right around six figures a year and I currently DO NOT have health insurance as a self employed person. Why? Because after crunching the Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt besides I will buy this numbers it’s cheaper for me to pay for doctor visits and medications out of pocket vs paying premium rates for health insurance coverage because of my financial bracket. If I chose to lay around, work part time and make $32,000 a year? I’d have free care. But because I work my ass of and make sacrifices to my home life to one day have the ability to retire happy? I have to pay 2x what my peers are paying for coverage that literally doesn’t do shit unless I end up with a 10k hospital bill, pay it, and hit my deductible
667 more repliesMany don’t want something that would benefit “those people.”. Employer-based health care ensures that only the Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt besides I will buy this “deserving” get treatment. “A conservative is someone who lies awake at night, worrying that someone, somewhere is getting something for nothing.” The idea is that all Americans who fear it have health insurance, so they’re already covered. Free healthcare would mean they would pay more taxes to subsidize healthcare for the poor. Net net they would be paying more taxes because of poor people. I don’t agree with them, but I understand the rational as to why some would be against it if you’re selfish and don’t care for poor/less fortunate people It also really doesn’t help that Canada’s taxes are so much higher and the healthcare system is garbage (long wait times). So to a well off American with health insurance, they’d be paying more to gain less. The healthcare is free “at the point of use” but isn’t really free. The fact is it costs money. Either you can’t pay, or the government can’t pay. Look at Canada or the UK. Both healthcare systems on the verge of collapse, years long waiting lists for basic procedures. Might work well for a rich country like Sweden selling all that iron ore to Nazi Germany, relying on the US military for protection. But for countries with real spending priorities and obligations, some just prefer to let the individual save and prepare rather than being totally reliant on the state.
Socialized medicine takes some of the Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt besides I will buy this decisions away from the patient and if an invasive treatment or surgery isn’t going to improve quantity of life is not offered in some countries. This scares some. The wait for mental health in the NHS is over one year depending on the condition. So people are still paying out of pocket or waiting. Because we already spend a higher portion of our GDP on healthcare than a lot of countries, and more money per person on healthcare than a lot of countries. Yet our healthcare is deemed worse than most of those. The problem isn’t the healthcare funding, it’s the corruption, profiteering, inefficiency, and lifestyle of the average American. But to answer your question more directly, our government doesn’t do anything well, so there is no reason to think they will do healthcare well. We have proof that they suck at it, because a segment of our citizens (armed-services veterans) have government-run healthcare, and they universally revile it. I’m an American (don’t hold it against me; everyone has their faults) living in Central Europe and have used socialized medicine in two countries. It is my view that the American lawmakers are in the deep pockets of the medical-pharmaceutical lobby, which does not want to change the status quo, for financial reasons, and furthermore, the American public has been sold a lie that, socialized medicine is no good etc…
Truthfully, the Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt besides I will buy this US spends a shocking amount on Healthcare already. Expanding that to every citizen would be crazy… except the government doesn’t seem to care about deficits, so maybe they should just do it? I’ve been in the military for 20 years and have had socialized medicine basically, and honestly, it kind of sucks… it’s better than nothing, of course, but I wonder how people with good insurance would feel suddenly having to switch? The fear is that usually any public service is less efficient than private service aka you would get more value for every dollar spent in private Healthcare than public. Another line of thought could be that most of your health conditions is based on your day to day choices. If someone puts more effort in being healthy, why should they be punished with a high tax cost from the overweight population. Just giving an example. The issue is that the cost of healthcare in the US is outrageous, and free healthcare does not necessarily reduce the the cost. I don’t necessarily know what it takes; either more doctors, more nurses, more healthcare facilities, more transparent pricing of procedures, an detailed end of life treatment, taxing High Corn Fructose syrup, government production of generic drugs and other essential medicine, or etc.
In my state of California of 39 million. That’s left leaning and generally economically well performing, there’s 16 medical schools which trains doctors. Sweden has 10 million people. Sweden has 7 medical schools per wdoms. America is a country that, more than any other, is set up that it is up to you to do your best to progress and to look after yourself. When you have been indoctrinated in to that mindset then accepting free healthcare as a good idea is admitting that you are worse than average. Slippery slope to socialism/communism/Hitler’s reincarnation…… Just can’t do it. Here, have done guns. Things will sort themselves out. We don’t trust our government to administer it properly, and fear that it will ultimately result in a loss of freedom, and increased taxation. Most experiences we have with our government is the Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt besides I will buy this DMV and IRS, and our experiences are very bad.
Distrust of the Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt besides I will buy this government is just baked into the system for a lot or Americans at this point. In theory I support socialized healthcare, in practice I think in America it would turn into a poorly run money making boondoggle for medical providers. I expect costs would go up, quality of service would go down. The current system is criminal, I think given the chance politicians and the insurance company would come up with something far worse. I fear the crazy ideologues on either side being in charge of determining access to care (we could completely lose abortion care, access to birth control, end of life counseling, etc). The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) have problems that would be magnified if they suddenly controlled all of US healthcare. A lot of Americans fear government-run healthcare (free healthcare is a misnomer) because they don’t trust the government but for some reason trust large corporations. Some want it only because they trust the government more than corporations.
I don’t trust the Magic Ranch Cartoon shirt besides I will buy this government to build roads, I sure as shit don’t trust it to provide healthcare. That’s also completely disregarding the fact that there’s no such thing as free healthcare, you’re gonna pay for it. The difference is whether you pay for it because you need it or you pay for it because if you don’t some very large heavily armed men will visit to ensure you don’t make that mistake again. What exactly is “everything you need?” That’s the question. Does a 75 year old need expensive cancer treatment to prolong their life another 5 years? Who gets the make that choice? Currently, it’s individuals and their doctors/insurance companies, with a tapestry of laws designed to fuck insurance companies royally if they are being dicks about it. Under socialized medicine, I guess the government would decide. That makes me very uncomfortable. People don’t know this, but in every country except amerikkka, red and blue make purple. Here, it makes communism.
