So he would get a job with them, eventually get fired for being an asshole, then off the strength of his resume from that job land another one. A few years would go by and the girlfriend would talk the restaurant group into rehiring him and repeat the cycle. He was the poster boy for failing upwards. 10yr industry veteran here, but what kind of narcissistic psychopath comes in off the street and completely changes the concept of a restaurant they don’t own without talking to the owner? This is borderline unbelievable because it’s the sort of thing that just doesn’t happen unless that person is just totally unhinged. Did she not have an operating budget? No P/L? And the owner just didn’t check his fucking voicemail/email for a month? This is just something that doesn’t happen
