Yes. I judge them positively. Regardless of why they’re wearing a shirt it’s cool to see because I wear one too. I mean I’m not too worried about people noticing I’m fat (i have accepted i am a long time ago) more than them laughing at my stretch marks and stuff but idk Oh yeah I mean I think you should do whatever makes you happy. But my thought whenever I see a fat guy wearing a shirt at the pool is “we can still tell you’re fat homie.” But even then, who cares know what I’m sayin? Not since I had to do it as a little kid. The only time I’d have an opinion is a hot tub/jaccuzi, and even then, it would be just to say “come on dude, you don’t need to feel self-conscious, the hot tub is a judgment-free zone. Ditch the shirt and have a beer.” I’m not fat but I also wear a t shirt for swimming, usually with long sleeves, because I hate getting sunburn on my shoulders or arms. Its not weird, if anything if I saw that, in my head I would be like ‘damn I wonder if he cares about sunburn too, he must hate sunburn just like me’

Nope, you do you honey boo boo! And let me do me! There are many reasons a person might wear a shirt to a pool besides weight/insecurities. If you’re more comfy, wear a shirt, but try to enjoy yourself and take it off if you get too hot– you don’t want to overheat and faint, that would be worse than existing as a fat person in a pool (fellow fat person so excuse me for the Lookin’ Like A Snack Gus Gus shirt besides I will buy this phrasing). I know it’s hard, but very few people who look in your direction shirt or not, are actually judging you. The ones who are, well their opinions don’t matter and maybe words hurt but you have a right to exist and be comfortable as much as they do.
