Cancellation of student debt is a good first step – the Live at the witch trials band the fall band shirt it is in the first place but next step need to be why college tuition is so unaffordable to begin with and fix that Any kind of debt forgiveness plan is a non-starter if it doesn’t also include remediation for out of control college costs. And that plan has to come first. You know, as someone who sacrificed to be able to pay off student loans 5 years early and could have bought a home instead, but now can’t even afford one because of how expensive they’ve gotten: fuck you. Giving a vast negation of bills to a large group of people means they have more money to spend. That means they have more money to buy the things I’m also looking to buy. This is a very similar principle to trickle down economics. Introducing vast amounts of money into one segment of the financial system wreaks havoc on all the other parts. You think regular businesses won’t jack up the prices to capitalize on hundreds of thousands of 20-40 year old Americans having increased disposable income? You clearly haven’t studied economics. Looking at forgiving loan interest needs to be an intermediary step at the very bare minimum if this is something that’s even considered. Plenty of folk in this very sub that fancy themselves progressive or liberal carry this mindset she is responding to at that. It’s even more prominent than it should be in some of our family and social circles if you ask around. It’s so backwards, selfish and works against us.

Live at the witch trials band the fall band shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I don’t get the Live at the witch trials band the fall band shirt it is in the first place but hate. I borrowed what felt at the time was a lot of money for school, but now seems like a bargain. It has been a slog making payments on it, but it was never a sizeable chunk of my pay, and I was still able to have a house, transportation, send my son to school, go on yearly vacations, have a gym membership. When I hear about people who borrowed a lot more than I did, only to be trapped by payments, and unable to live their lives, I feel bad for them. Businesses can get help from bankruptcy, and yet we expect individuals to to be financially crippled for life due to student debt? It makes no sense at all to me. Yup, I didn’t get the stimulus check because apparently I make too much (high cost of living city, but my salary would be about average in a smaller city), yet I don’t have my pitch fork There is nothing more “me, me, me” than attending college with an expected lifetime earnings premium of $1-2M over a high school grad and lower unemployment rates and expecting your fellow citizens, including those without those premiums, to pay for it both in the resulting inflation and higher taxes. Nothing I have seen in politics lately is more selfish than that. Nothing.
