okay so… we all need to collectively quit buying mass produced shit and work together to make the Life Is Better At The Campfire Mountain Retro Vacationist T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this means of production accessible to all. yeah? I’m not interesting in buying anything anymore if it involves exploitation and modern day slavery. we are all much too materialistic in first world countries. Ahhh yes, the old contractor shell game. Successfully helping large corporations dodge responsibility for labor laws in just about every industry. This is a loophole we need to end. No more plausible deniability. We need to make corporations that get a large portion of their labor from contractors liable for labor law violations. This was my moms job my whole childhood working in these sweat shops around Los Angeles. These garment factories take advantage of immigrant communities. When my mom finally found a relatively well known and larger company that payed by the hour instead of by the garment she finally made “a lot of money” according to her (aka minimum wage)

The “IDGAF” attitude that some companies have is insane. Isn’t paying these employees next to nothing a step just above free labor (slavery)? Let the Life Is Better At The Campfire Mountain Retro Vacationist T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this market decide! ?Donate all the clothes you don’t use, go to Goodwill with 50 bucks. You’ll get more clothes back. I used to date a contract seamstress. She technically made below minimum wage per hour. But was paid a certain amount per item (dog collars and dog braces). They called it “piece work”. Her total wage ending up being between $20-$30/hr depending on the complexity of pieces being made. Let’s see. Minimum wage of $15.50 x 8 = $124. Assume 10 outfits. That means $12.40 per outfit. Mark up for retail. That means $37.20 per outfit. That is breaking even! $100 clothing here we come.
