Went to Willie May’s Scotch House in New Orleans. While you’re looking for a decent pair of shoes, I’d recommend getting gel insoles with decent arch support and cutting them to size. I use kids gel insoles since I’m UK size 2, and they provide enough impact protection and arch support in otherwise uncomfortable children’s shoes. I’ve found those gel insoles in sports and hiking shops. Hope this helps. That’s not true. Amazon has many good arch supports recommended by podiatrists. I wear power step insoles purchased from Amazon. Not sure if these are made in child sizes though. Go to a good running store and have them assist you. I would love to know as well. Im also a size 2. I don’t really wear sneakers. Primarily because I can’t find anything that fits. I do like Puma kids. For shoes, I usually wear timberlands for blundstones. Thats about it. I used to wear kids ASICS or Brooks when I ran and never had a problem finding them, but that was a few years ago. For walking I like On Clouds. The size 2s have Velcro but I don’t care, they’re super comfortable Me too. I wish a lot of kids sizes didn’t have velcro. I wear Blazers to lift and they do too, I hate it. I have to wait for them to release one of their colors that doesn’t have functioning closures or laces, they can be hard to find Not at all. Hoka! I’m a size 5 so I’m lucky but they do make kids sizes. Surely you’d fit in a kids size! They make kids size versions of many of their adult sneakers. I’ll also say oncloud runs really really small…I have always found 5 to be a little loose in most brands but had to actually get 5.5 in my oncloud sneakers and even then I feel like I would almost be happier in a 6. I dunno if it’s just that shoe in particular (cloudflyer) or if they’re all that way. Worth trying on a size 5 it might fit great La Sportivas and Topo Athletic run small! They are a little roomy, but I wanted a wider toe box, and they lace up well so that they feel comfortable and never slip. Hey! I have the same size as you. I buy sneakers in the kids section of adidas. Sometimes cheaper than at the adults section Sketchers were good for me, too. Although they are not very pretty. Tried Vans, but my feet hurt a lot although they are pretty. Had a pair of Michael Kors which are expensive/posh, but they were too heavy and one size bigger, so I sold them. I was firmly committed to New Balance until I started running in Brooks and now I’ll never go back. Go to a running store to get fitted for shoes that accommodate you specifically. They should be able to make good recommendations if you don’t find what you need in store. they might me pricey, but if you’re planning to put in the miles it is 1000% a worthwhile investment. In a similar boat (women’s size 4/kids 2.5). I’ve been buying Sauconys Kids and they’ve worked out pretty well. Also, keep track of how long you’re wearing your sneakers. They start to breakdown over time and have less support. As some have said here, going to a running store is the best so they can properly fit you. I have found that HOKAs work for me (size 5) but it also might be worth looking into On. Their sizing is odd but I found that some styles surprisingly worked well for a small foot. I have the Cloudmonsters and actually had to get a 5.5. Nikes have worked for me in the past too but I found they hurt my knees and feet after awhile. I wear a Little Kid’s crocs, size two. With orthotics I’m able to fit into MOST size 5 quality running shoes. In recent years, some good brand’s shoes have actually begun to run smaller. I’m no longer a 5M in Saucony. I’m a 5.5. Feet do grow, pregnancy & old age. AND just so you know. Normal stores do NOT stock a size 5. I use Zappos & other free shipping returns because I often have to order multiple models of shoes to see which fit.

I’ve run hundreds of miles in kids New Balance running shoes. Best part for me is multiple width options as I have very wide feet.
