I relate in some ways. School at most levels wasn’t terribly difficult overall, and I also focused most of my time and energy on my studies. It’s been an adjustment in my early career to actually work hard towards goals and not just expect things to happen. There’s some entitlement I’ve become aware of, and also my tendency to be overly cautious about adding things to my schedule. This one! Think if I hadn’t fucked up a relationship I had at 20, life might be quite a lot better now I’m approaching 26. Oh well! My wife gets 10 minutes before we’re due to do something or go somewhere, can easily go and do something. Me? Sat waiting for those 10 minutes to be over so we can go. I struggle with this too. Sometimes I’m the Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt in contrast I will get this opposite as well though. I think to myself “I’ve got 10 minutes until I need to leave, I’ll just quickly go do X.” And then 25 minutes later I’m leaving, muttering about how shit I am.
Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt: Unleash Your Inner Fighter
Do you have ADHD, by any chance? Task paralysis is very common. For example, if I have an important meeting assigned for 2pm, then nothing is getting done until 2pm because my mind is just stuck there. I was 13, I feel your pain…..am nearly there, cut back to just a couple rollies a day, but mentally, I am not quite ready to end it completely….nearly….just not quite, and if I’m not mentally ready, I’ll fail. I’ve seen people get on the Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt in contrast I will get this bus, vaping to the last possible second, ride for 10 mins, then the second they get off, are vaping like their life depended on it. If you ever get the itch to stop, get some nicotine patches. I hear mixed reviews but for me, they work really well. They also make you remember your dreams and are psychedelic as fuck, if that’s something you’re into lol. If not, just take them off when you sleep.
It’s another thing I’m working on this year. Next time I order some more juice it’s going to be a weaker one than I usually get, and so on and so forth That’s supposed to be the Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt in contrast I will get this way to go about it, keeps the habit of smoking something but you’re getting less nicotine per hit I could have bought a whole bloody house when they were in the tens of thousands of pounds, but I stupidly chose life instead As well as buying them in the early days you would also have had to resist the urge to sell them early on for a small profit. And also not store them on a portable HD which you subsequently threw in the bin. Ditto. If I’d spent 100 quid on bitcoin and a few years later I could sell them and go on a nice holiday, then that’s definitely what I would have done. It would take a lot of nerve to hold on to them particularly as they’ve gone up and down in value a lot over the years. I was a teenager with not much cash, heard about it from that guy buying a pizza with it and thought it sounded dumb and would never catch on why do so many people assume you should sell ALL of something? You could have sold 90% of it after it first doubled, and then again, and again and again, and you would still have some !

I almost bought a load in the Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt in contrast I will get this early days but didn’t because I assumed it was a fad and I didn’t want to be left with something worthless. Same here. I assumed it was meant to be a way to buy stuff online so when I heard nowhere normal actually accepted it yet, I disregarded it. I had no clue of its potential as an investment vehicle. I was gonna buy some as a teenager cause I was into drugs, and that’s how you pay on the deep Web, but couldn’t justify it cause I’d have never ordered any online anyway… Wish I’d brought them now, even if I had brought Bitcoin I wouldn’t have brought anything online, and with the amount I’d have needed to buy any form of quantity back then then I’d have hundreds of thousands to my name, if not millions, depending on when I bit the bullet and sold
Learnt to code. It’s exactly the Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt in contrast I will get this kind of thing that teenage me would have become completely obsessed with, but I didn’t know anything about it. Could you not learn now? I bet there are so many courses for varying levels of competency that could teach you, and its never too late to start. I actually work in a data analytics field now with a fair amount of coding, so although I’m not a SWE I’m not a million miles off. It’s more that I wish I’d done it when I had loads of free time and “spare” obsessive energy I had some bad food poisoning at about 13 or 14. Ended up on a weight register after loosing about 3st in 3 months. After I was right again, about 6 months later, I had an appointment with the Dr who asked me some embarrassing questions about my changing body. I lied and said everything was fine despite the fact my adolescence was completely stalled.
Gave me some very awkward times and experiences. Rest of secondary school and college was… difficult. Looked no more than 18 till I was maybe 26. Set back my development years, derailed me socially as I was terified of being found out, might have broken 6ft like my dad and all my uncles. I was always chasing girls as a kid but from then on I focused most of my energy trying to avoid contact. Everyone was having their first experiences and I was hiding or pulling an indetweeners style “lets slide”. I can just about laugh about it all but yeah, fucking sucks. Always hangs in my head that I would be… more normal had I not been scared. Thankfully came right eventually. Even have a baby on the Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt in contrast I will get this way which I was legit scared might have been affected too.
Wow, dude, that wasn’t your fault in any way. As a society, we are ‘trained’ to be ok and not discuss bodily changes and anything to do with our ‘bits’. Especially as a boy at that age, you were conditioned to hide it all. I am glad that you seem in a place where you are mostly accepting who you are now. Be you, own that. The world would be a very boring place if we were all ‘normal’. We are getting better now at being more open about things, still got a long way to go, but hopefully toxic masculinity is on the Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt in contrast I will get this out and we all, men, women, other, can just talk about things that affect us. I don’t have any tips for driving sadly. 40 quid a lesson!! I think I was still paying around £16 back in 2011. God, I’m gonna have to start saving for the baby’s lessons
… a lot of them will have been exaggerating or lying so as to fit in with the Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt in contrast I will get this group, and will have been privately cringing just as much as you. Getting into a regular exercise habit. Not even just going to the gym or running etc. I always loved dancing but I never joined a club or anything. Now I’m too good at coming up with reasons I can’t do it, like it’s too far, the class is on too late, I’m not fit enough etc. I started doing dance and yoga in lockdown and actually began loving it (most days). Really need to get back into the habit. It’s just forcing myself to do it X days in a row, then I start noticing the difference when I don’t, do it. Wish I had the space to set up an exercise bike/treadmill in front of TV, I don’t watch a lot, but would be easy to just ride or something while I watched a movie or TV show.
Totally, it would be better than couch potato-ing the Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt in contrast I will get this whole show! I think it’s just too easy to sit on your arse all day, work (unless you have a physical job) and at home. My body is starting to properly complain now though so I’ll need to do something about it! Oh dear god, yes. Now I am a bit fanatical about it, flossing, the works. But, I spent over a decade not caring for myself, physically or mentally, I was an alcoholic and had a drug problem. It was a mess, I was a mess. Now I am seeing the consequences of that with my teeth. Wisdom teeth are basically crumbled, and the others are so weak that I have lost flakes of them when I am cleaning. Gums are receeding. I’m terrified of the dentist, too, so its only going to get worse. Going to the dentist can be intense. Have you pinpointed what about it scares you? Some don’t like a person leaning over them, some don’t want things in their mouth, some hate the sound of the tools.
If you can pinpoint it, you can make your dentist aware. Unfortunately, the Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt in contrast I will get this things in your mouth is a crapshoot, that’s required. Depending on when you went last, a lot of the technology has changed. Begone, sharp pointy scrapey things! Here’s a list of suggestions for things you can do: Ask to sit up a bit higher than they’d usually request. Bring earplugs or music to cover the sound of the tools. Bring a fidget toy for nerves. Ask for the little mirror on the lamp to be angled so you can see what they’re doing (or close your eyes!). If you’re scared of gagging for x-rays, ask if you can insert the bit yourself (I always do, they just check I place it right). Ask for a break for sitting up to rinse and spit during treatment, it’s not always possible, but often enough. Ask for more numbing agent if you can feel any pain. Let them know of your previous addiction and that for some numbing agents you may need larger doses, and that there are medications you shouldn’t take as they can be triggering (especially benzos, I’m guessing).
Feel free to DM me if you want to troubleshoot a future appointment. I’m not a dentist, but I’ve worked with adults with disabilities where we do a lot of anxiety-reducing preparation work. Those strategies also work well for anxious people without disabilities. The more of you replies I’ve read I’m starting to think you’re me! 41. Scared of driving. Down south – transport is SHITE. Fucked teeth and dentist phobia. Drugs. Tried and gave up dancing – though I loved it, I was the Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt in contrast I will get this youngest by 20 years and taller than all of the men. No fat bottom though.. paper has more curves. On the 1st of January 2023 I started brushing every night as well, and have now been doing it for over a year. It’s a hard habit to break but with discipline it becomes routine. Am ginger, thankfully mostly did that. I was not at all kind to my knees though, Baz was right, I’ll miss them when they’re gone!
I learnt typing & shorthand back in the Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt in contrast I will get this day. I could type 50wpm on a manual typewriter. I can’t type on a laptop, I need a keyboard, it’s the position of my hands. This was really one of the best investments ever. My parents did have to pay for it, but it was still dead cheap considering how useful it’s been. I type with mostly two fingers and can get up to 93wpm. I really cannot say it matters much, but I have freakishly long fingers so maybe that helps lol. I don’t think it matters that much, I can touch type and can do around 80wpm and I’m only using 2 fingers to do this. I’ve been typing this way for years, never been a problem. What reason exactly? I’ve always typed with two fingers and can type at 110 WPM and I’ve never gotten discomfort or anything like that Public transport great up north? You clearly live in a different up north than I do, where there is one bus to town a week. And its one way… Haha, I was on the Wirral and with buses, merseyrail and ferries it was pretty good, especially compared to down here. Also on the Wirral, grew up a short walk from the train station and Merseyrail was good so never needed a car. I did start learning how to drive at 17 but got put on meds that meant I wasn’t allowed to, didn’t feel like a big deal. By the time I was off the meds I was at uni in Liverpool living in the city centre, so had even less need to drive, more bills to pay, more alcohol to drink. 31 now and I never learned.
Blackpool here. We might not have much but we can’t complain about the Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt in contrast I will get this assortment of public transport at our disposal. Driving is an expensive undertaking. Lessons (especially if paid lessons are all the experience you are getting), tests and then when you pass, a car, insurance, tax, servicing, repairs, MOT, fuel. It does give you options and freedom. Automatic is easier than manual. There is a lot to take in, a lot to stay aware of and you have to learn it all in an unwieldy way. If i could change a small thing… it would be keeping up with reading. Family life and other things have just knocked back my reading for pleasure immensely. If you can get back into reading, do it. That escape can be so rewarding. Maybe make it your goal to finish 3 books this year, then up it next year. I know it is not cheap when you have a vehicle, but you are spot on with the ‘options’ and freedom it provides, and not having that is what I personally regret. Thanks. So driving wise. Being able to drive my kid to A and E when she finds a new way to bang her head is invaluable. Being able to get somewhere to walk and have an hour to myself like the beach or the woods is very nice. I am not down to zero books a year yet. Have to read 10 new to me books a year before doing any rereading. I don’t prioritise books and i find it harder to find books that i enjoy. Thank you though.
I learned later in life and, while it was expensive and time consuming, as long as you’re patient with yourself you can get there. I think about this a lot: I wish that as a teenager or young man I’d have forced myself to get any job dealing with people. Waitering, bartending, clothes shop, anything. I had what I now know was quite severe social anxiety and instead of facing up to it and doing something to improve myself, I hid in jobs where I could be relatively isolated and only became more anxious and lacking in self esteem. I believe I would’ve had a richer life if I’d learnt sooner to not be afraid of social encounters and had some basic skills like working a till. I could’ve worked while travelling, volunteered for things I cared about and had some adaptable and transferable skills for the Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt in contrast I will get this future. I could say never started smoking, drinking or any manner of things, but that stranger would probably have other stuff they wish they’d done or didn’t do.
You can get musician grade earplugs fairly cheap that will save your hearing. In fact it makes live music sound better, as they tend to cut the Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt in contrast I will get this bass and make the overall sound clearer I’m hard of hearing in one ear and in loud places I basically can’t understand anything anyone is saying. Even if they’re right up to my ear. Years of unprotected blasting speakers at gigs did my ears in I’m in my 30s and I’m like a 70 year old fella who moans about music being too loud in pubs and bars because I can’t hear anything Carried on learning the violin. I loved it but went through a phase of thinking it was cool so stopped. Really regret it as an adult. Could you not take it up again? I bet in this day and age, there are ways to ‘rent’ an instrument until you got back into the swing of it enough to lay out money for your own. I wish id had therapy when i was younger. Now i have secrets that i am too scared to even tell my husband. Im 44 and i feel its too late or that i would be opening myself up to pain from bringing it all up. It’s never ever too late. I too kept a secret for many years and told my husband a couple of weeks ago and honestly it was the best choice I’ve ever made. I couldn’t believe how good it felt to share it with somebody else. The countless times I thought ‘I will never ever be able to tell anybody this in my life’ – so wrong, and the peace I found from telling him was life-changing. I hope you can feel the same some day x Also driving. But im in the north and our public transport sucks! Our village has 1 bus an hour, stops running at 6pm and doesn’t run on sundays. Useless.
Save money rather than “having too much fun living in Amsterdam”. I also wish I’d bought Apple stock back in the Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt in contrast I will get this mid-1990s I joined the RAF straight out of school at 16 and spent the next 9 years drinking, partying and going on trips abroad, not saving a penny. Also, when I was 19 my cousin was selling his flat for £50k (I’m also from up north, hence so cheap) and offered it to me for £40k, I refused. One of my regrets is that I didn’t do more travelling, partying etc when I was young, but I didn’t have the money to do it at the time. Yes and no. The thing is we all kind of lost contact over the years, I’m nearly 40 now and there’s only one that i still manage to keep in touch with. It’s a consequence of getting older and all originally being from different parts of the country and so on that you will inevitably lose touch. With hindsight I’ve easily spent >£20k on holidays and nights out etc. and that money would have been better spent setting myself up for my future if I’d have known Get braces when offered, I was getting bullied and I didn’t want to give them more ammunition but looking back I can’t imagine it would have made it any worse and I wouldn’t now look like a man wearing an orc’s dentures. I would also have pushed harder for an autism assessment, I’d got far enough to realise something was probably different about everyone else’s experience but hadn’t found out enough to push in the right direction. Most GPs and teachers understanding of such things was very different in the 80’s and it was much harder to do your own research as a kid if you don’t know what you’re looking for.
If I had just talked to teacher, friends parent, fucking anybody to just let my feelings out it would of saved me and those I love so much pain.. Took computing at A-Level. Could have got a job right as the Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt in contrast I will get this tech industry exploded in my area, sparing me a decade of unemployment. You sound like me, grew up in an area in the North that had regular buses and trains (late 90’s) and had to learn to drive after graduating from Uni. If I had passed my test before graduation, I would have headed down a different career path. I also wished I had learnt to drive/been able to afford to learn when I was younger. By the time i could afford to learn I was terrified and it played a large part in my partner leaving me.
Not made a formal complaint against my employer, the Led Zeppelin Band 57th Anniversary 1968 2025 Thank You For The Memories Shirt in contrast I will get this complaint was rulled in my favour but they decided to do a you’ll never work in this town again and succeeded. Now I’m stuck being treated like shit in a job I hate because absolutely no one in the industry I did a PhD to work in will hire me. In a similar boat to you OP. I’m 35 and only started driving lessons two weeks ago. I wish I had done it years ago! Honestly i felt the same, scared but now I can’t wait for my next one. Paid attention at school and actually used my brain and also not.bought crap cars and bikes on the cheap and spent a fortune on them so that’s two Wish I’d learn to drive back in the late 80s. Not wasted money on records, computer games and other worthless tat.
