A major reason I haven’t gone back to a gym is that I don’t want to appear in people’s tiktoks. I’m there to workout, not be self conscious about filming. YES! It is invasive and too often used for online trolling. The gym is a vulnerable place for so many, people need to have more empathy and stop being so narcissistic. I have seen a few people filming themselves lifting to check their form. Not to post online, but to look at their lift and make observations and corrections. Unfortunately there are always casualties of war. The asshole people ruin it for the Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt But I will love this ones who are doing it innocently. People also may need to record their top set to send to their coach who will make those observations and adjustments If THEY make t effort not to include anyone else in the video & don’t lose their shit of someone walks in front of the camera. If they aren’t dicks about it AND delete the footage if asked. LOTS of people in the gym are only the to lose weight or be healthy and have spent a lot of personal energy to actually make it there & seeing people filming them will make them uncomfortable. Problem is that it’s easier to ban everyone from filming than having to worry about the dicks who decide to film & stick it online to get clicks
Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt: Embrace Your Uniqueness
Doing a deadlift, bench or squat with your head cranked to the Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt But I will love this side isn’t the safest way to hit a top set. Sometimes you need to see mechanics of form from a different angle That’s not the same at all. For every sport the best way to improve form is to review the video of your performance over and over again. You gain a totally different perspective that way. Sorry if you don’t see it that way but it’s perfectly valid. Lmfao this just reminded me 99% of the neckbeards in this comment section have never even lifted a half serious weight. If you think you can look at yourself in the mirror while doing a challenging lift, you have 0 clue what you’re talking about How is this so upvoted. Mirrors don’t always work for viewing form. In fact, outside of single joint exercises where you can stare directly at the mirror while you lift, they are a pretty terrible tool.
No one who lifts seriously relies on mirrors. I was actually taught to face away from the Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt But I will love this mirror because it teaches reliance on external cues rather than internal. That plus the head on angle is horrible for checking form, nor can you look sideways at a mirror beside you with a bar on your back. And you can’t correct your form in the mirror doing anything explosive, because it’s too fast. Nothing like cranking your neck 90 degrees to peep form when deadlifting 495. Make sure to really jerk over to get a view as fast as possible True but they should be heavily regulated by either management or the patrons. We need to be as hostile AF loll Nothing makes my blood boil more than this. I actually cancelled my CRUNCH membership because management refused to intervene when I called the front desk because some girl was live-streaming in a rush hour locker room full of women changing.

How I can buy this Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt
Man when I was in college living in the Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt But I will love this dorms we always had people taking facetime calls in the shared bathrooms. Like what the fuck was wrong with those people? It depends. A gym near me openly allows livestreaming and filming, however when you sign up they explicitly mention this and make sure you are fully aware when you sign your paperwork. As long as there is proper disclosure one way or the other, I don’t see a problem with it. If its a gray area at a specific gym then they need to update their policy. People can choose where they want to go. If I was a gym owner I would have two separate areas within the space – one allows filming and the other doesn’t. Let the patrons decide. Nobody needs to film every lift, people managed very successful gym experiences before camera phones were ubiquitous. Once a week is plenty to do a DIY check on form. Good idea in concept but that would screw everyone who works Fridays or are otherwise unavailable to go to the gym on Fridays. Honestly. I feel like most people that go to the gym don’t care about people filming cause it rarely happens or it really doesn’t bother anyone at all. As obnoxious as the rage bait content creators we see online are, I’ve yet to actually run into one of them in real life. Most people I’ve met filming in the gym are literally just doing so to critique their form, and a lot of them compete in some form or another, so I really don’t blame them for doing so. They keep their camera well within the vicinity of the workout they’re doing and it’s easy to not intrude on their frame or feel like I am being filmed without my consent.
Every gym I’ve ever been in has had a pretty strict “no cameras in the Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt But I will love this locker/restrooms” policy though, which is obviously good. If someone starts filming in there then obviously it’s a different story, as it would be if someone began acting in an inflammatory manner while in the gym. Yes, this. I feel like at least 90% of people that constantly cry about filming in the gyms have never actually been to one. Especially here on reddit. I’m really curious about how many of the people with strong opinions in favor of a ban ever actually go to a gym, and what percentage of those that do do more than just cardio. This, people asking it for it be banned probably reddit mods that don’t train anyway. Usually peeps are filming for form but then again I don’t care what they are filming for, I’m there for my workout. All these Redditors raging over nothing as usual
Yeah I’m with you on this one. I’ve seen lifters with tripod setups in the Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt But I will love this gym right next to me before and they were keeping to themselves and not bothering anyone. As long as you aren’t encroaching on anyone else’s space or obviously trying to film other gym goers I couldn’t care less. The conversation will never be “sHoUlD gYm BaN FiLm” or you’ll just get brain dead takes like most of the ones in here. I’ve honestly never seen people recording at the gym unless it was a trainer/friend recording the person they were there with. Maybe it’s because I only go in the morning when there are way less people. Maybe it’s because I’m not paying attention to what everybody else is doing I feel this. I’m so self absorbed in the gym I could not care less what others are in there doing, and I feel like that’s a pretty common thing.
It is completely normal to want to see if you are doing the Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt But I will love this technique right. How tf are you supposed to know that without filming? I see this response a lot when people say filming helps fix your form. In reality looking in a mirror often bricks your form and certain angles are very difficult to see. Mirror can help, but it is just 1 perspective and you can miss enough. It also may be a distraction at first. Filming makes you change nothing and just do what you normally do and decide how it was. The reason people believe that is because those are the only people posting their content on the Internet so that’s the only content people see. Someone self critiquing is more than likely just going to delete the video when they’re done with it.
Yes. This is probably one of the Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt But I will love this top two most annoying things that’s happened to local gyms ever. People setting up tripods to hold their phone to record or livestream themself is a crossing the line. People are at the gym for a reason, if you’re there to make content you’re in the wrong place. My gym has a young woman who lost 200lbs, which is awesome, but her video dude thinks he can yell this fact at people as an excuse to why he has 0 spacial awareness and will bump into people working out when he wants to do a pan around her doing a workout. I’ve been working out, and watched a guy nearly nail someone doing something at the cable machine – I forget what, the guy just backed into the space. The person complained and the video guy screamed “I’m doing work! She lost 200 pounds! I’m here to record her!” I think they were eventually booted, but that location is such garbage I’m rarely there, so we may just miss one another. And no, they were not kicked out that day. No one bothered going to the staff to complain.
I am at the Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt But I will love this gym right now, and I will appear in two videos being recorded simultaneously. One guy filming behind me, another filming in front. If you see a dweeby looking thick daddy wearing a grey schrute farms shirt in the background of a TikTok vid, that’s me You gotta be very direct and hostile to people who whip out their cameras in locker rooms, bathrooms and showers. Absolutely no middle ground. No, but sneakily filming other people needs to result in an immediate ban and some gyms need to enforce this more Yea. Assuming you’re not getting in the way, filming yourself for form checks or even *gasp* socials is fine. Just don’t film other people without their consent. I think a lot of people just don’t go to the gym. My gym lets people film and although I don’t do it (I’m not above taking an occasional selfie, but filming isn’t needed), I have literally NEVER, in 6+ years, had an issue where someone filming interfered with the use of equipment or the “traffic flow” around the gym. Compared to dumbbell hogs, I could literally not care less about people that film. A lot of trainers do it drum up some hype for their business and the gym actively encourages that. I don’t film myself, but have watched thousands of hours of content from professional level bodybuilders which taught me everything i know about working out. Applying a blanket fix instead of dealing with the people who are the issue is stupid.
i get going to the Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt But I will love this gym can be vulnerable to some people but if you can’t handle someone making a form-check or pr video near you i think you maybe need to work on some other things before you interact with the public To add to this, I wish I had filmed my 315×3 bench. I have since injured my shoulder multiple times in sport and I’m not sure I’ll get back up to that weight. You don’t know when you’re at your peak and when it will be taken away exactly man. It’s pretty sad to be honest, but you definitely wanna be able to relive that moment. 315×3 is huge I’ve been lifting for 8 years. I coach too. I’ve never seen anyone film another person against their will to make fun of them. I see people film their sets for self assessment and to share their progress every single day. I’m not convinced people in this thread actually go to the gym.
I have no issue with people filming themselves working out. I do it to check my form–which is a pretty effective safety measure. If you happen to catch me in the Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt But I will love this background while you’re filming, whatever. Just don’t actively film me without consent. I do think this issue is a bit overblown. I’ve been to many different gyms across the country and while a lot of people film, I can only think of one instance in which someone was actively filmed without their consent. Came here to say this. Sometimes I’ll come across a Tik Tok or IG reel making fun of someone at the gym (that clearly didn’t know they were recorded) and that’s just vile. Yes, because it’s virtually impossible to ensure everyone in the space that could accidentally wind up in frame consented to being on camera.
Imo this is a yes/no thing, filming yourself working out to help you improve form is one thing that’s pretty important especially when learning, for filming yourself hitting a PR so that you can be like “I did this” / creating like a gym journey for people losing weight is also really helpful for motivating when your down and you can go see where you started and have gotten to, and you can’t actually do that without the Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt But I will love this equipment very well. However, People filming for clout / Videos / “influencers” anything shared publically? really shouldn’t be allowed, but it’s a pretty hard distinction between the two. Yes, unilaterally. The purpose isn’t to look good, or film, or chit chat. It’s a place of insecurity for some and dedication for others. Get your work done and leave. No need to ban I think its fine to film your milestones like benching 2 plates or pulling 4 plates first time no problem but yeah no need to film every warm up set and bring whole damn movie set with lights and tripods with you.
We lose the Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt But I will love this ability to do things reasonably when a few assholes fuck shit up for everyone else. Why not ban the assholes instead? I believe gyms shouldn’t outright ban filming but should instead regulate it. Having clear guidelines on when and where filming is allowed can strike a balance between respecting privacy and allowing members to document their progress or share fitness tips. By fostering a culture of consent and respect, gyms can create a positive environment where everyone feels comfortable and safe while pursuing their fitness goals. If anyone is confused as to why threads on Reddit asking about this sort of stuff have an overwhelming majority of people who say filming should be banned yet it’s fairly uncommon for gyms to ban filming, there’s a simple answer. The people complaining don’t actually go to the gym. They live their lives through Tik-tok and are outraged at something they’ve never witnessed or want an excuse to quit exercising before they’ve even started.
Go into any powerlifting or strongman gym and there’ll be tripods everywhere. Lots of serious lifters film every single set to send to their coaches and to review at later dates to check progress and technique breakdown. Businesses are always going to cater to the Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt But I will love this majority of their customers, if banning filming was so widely supported amongst actual lifting communities then filming would be banned. It isn’t, so it isn’t. Yes, which is a shame as documentation of progress helps people stick to habits. Unfortunately, the bad of filming in gyms far outweigh the good. Tldr. People suck It’s only “I’m the center of the universe and influencer” that come in there and think they own the place and others have to ask permission to walk in front of where they hid the camera.
Filming can be annoying, but I agree you shouldn’t ban it outright. We have gym members who work on their form and they will go off to a corner of the Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt But I will love this gym and be discrete about it. I’ve got no issue with that at all. Just don’t take up space or equipment because you’re trying to get a good shot. Yes, inside a business that deals in fitness, and body improvement, should be camera free. It is hard enough for those with image issues to start, they shouldn’t have to worry about video embarrassment. In the age of instant internet they shouldn’t have to worry about permanent embarrassment either. Would you want to go viral for something embarrassing? Yes they should, at my gym I called out 2 guys (high-school age) set-up tripod and camera in mens locker room in front of mirrors, some people need rules, clueless My gym has it 100% banned.. I am hoping they will also ban speakers so we don’t have 5 dicks carrying around their shitty musoc over each other
If you are filming to improve your form, I’m fine with it. If you film with unwilling participants in the Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt But I will love this background and post it online? You’re a trash human. Yes, but with occasional exceptions that require prior approval and clear signage that filming is taking place and the reasons/use for it. A general ban is maybe too much, bit I could definitely see this as a strategic decision to appeal to a certain target market more. If someone is obviously exploiting that rule and filming for social media or trolling. It’s different. They should be suspended. I go to a proper strength conditioning gym where people train for strength and bodybuilding competitions. People film to check their form all the time. No one cares. Yes. 15+ years ago you’d need to ask for permission to film inside a place if you wanted to profit off the video. Nowadays there are no standards and no oversight “I stole money from kids needing treatment for cancer, and the judge was so unfair! And those signatures found on the fraudulent financing documents aren’t mine: the judge forged my signatures! {sobbing hysterically}” My bone spurs are beautiful. They’re all saying it. Strong men with tears in their eyes. No one has bone spurs like these.
Hey! I resemble that comment! These are bad people because they are bad people, not because they happened to be born without chins I don’t know why that’s irritating to me. Maybe because it’s such a low expense or that I would worry about the Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt But I will love this cops being called to on me. He just doesn’t think consequences apply to him. The rich are mostly a bunch of cheap cunts. The CEO at a job I had a dozen years ago used to expense his fucking tea every morning. When I worked retail, it was the upper middle class to wealthy women that stole the most. They did it for the thrill or because they felt they should have no consequences. There’s roughly 260 workdays in a year, give or take. At like, $2 a cup, that’s $520 he didn’t have to spend on tea. e. I was checking out kit homes/cabins that one could build themselves for $400/m^2 + another equal amount for the septic tank, solar panels, k*0.5 hectare lot. And insurance premiums are low for a 100 m^2 house. The sad thing is I could care less about defrauding a major bank that makes the majority of its money from defrauding society as a whole. But defrauding kids with cancer that are likely the most vulnerable and weak in society, no excuse, that should have been then end of the Trump family. Not beneficial to their victims. It’s just that their victims are pests from the human POV. it’s “my enemy’s enemy is my friend”.
I swear, someone needs to take a baseball bat to that entire family. You could bash all their heads in and not get any brains on you. Gotta love the Las Vegas Raiders x Stitch logo shirt But I will love this American justice system. Poor people go to prison for stealing significantly less but if you’re rich and connected you can commit fraud in the millions and just get fined. Donations made to personal GoFundMe fundraisers are generally considered to be “personal gifts” which, for the most part, are not taxed as income in the United States. Additionally, these donations are not tax deductible for donors. I’m sure there are workarounds as with everything, but my understanding is that the GoFundMe platform is intended to support on a personal level, not business or corporate. For example if Jane Doe’s business burns down and the community rallies around the loss, the GoFundMe would be stated to help Jane Doe in the wake of the loss of her business, not to support the business itself.
