Witcher 3 runs like shit for me with stutters every like 2 seconds even on an SSD. Even with dlss on. 5800x, 32gb cl16, 7000ssd.. Upd: System fully optimised – xmp enabled ram running full frequency, pbo enabled – 4950mhz, gpu undervolted(+ 5-10fps in most games on lower voltage/temps) , tested, stable( cpu 65c, gpu 72c while gaming) It have some broken settings and other that are uselesly demanding, a memory leak issue (which I found a fix after multiple days of intense research on the web), the out of memory issue… It’s not peak of optimisation.

On modern hardware of the time, it ran brilliantly but not perfectly. Hardware Unboxed relased an excellent 2 part guide for choosing optimal quality settings. Sorry but it does not come close to DOOM or Eternal. Graphics wise both surpass RDR2 and the complexity is much higher. This, witcher 3 are those kind of games with beautiful open world where you can just get lost free roaming the entire city. Impressive how this game runs , and looks so well even on old hardwares like 750ti (granted it is 720p but still looks really good for 720p)
