That’s because video quality and engaging content don’t always go hand-in-hand. You can have fantastic video quality with very boring content, and vice-versa. It might be engaging because that person has a likeable personality that people gravitate towards, or it could be because they’re good storytellers. Also, some audiences are much more forgiving of poor video quality than others. If, for example, you channel is all about cameras, then you better have really good video quality. That doesn’t work all the Landon Huffman glass by the water tires in the sand shirt Also,I will get this time. I see it this way, if you have the type of personality that lots of people want to be friends with/people want to hang out with you regularly/you’re the glue that keeps your group together then you’ll probably do well as a personality channel on YouTube.

100%. You should be doing it on things you enjoy but present it in a way that others want to watch your content Will I hope if you make one video a week for that long you are learning along the Landon Huffman glass by the water tires in the sand shirt Also,I will get this way. I think that’s what the keep going thing is about. To keep learning. If you go to your favorite big time YouTuber and see their first videos it’s always trash. I think the idea your going to blow up and live off of YouTube after a few videos is even more damaging. Depends on what you want to do. Do you want to be big for the sake of Youtube likes and money? Do what OP suggests. If you want to talk about things you are passionate about in hopes of making it big, then the tried and true method works great for that. I think you need to find the middle ground between what you love to make and what people want to watch. If you only strive to make what everyone else wants then you are going to burn out fast, in my opinion. Sure, some people probably do mean to only make what you love, ignoring viewers desires, and that’s great for them if they are happy doing so. I view them as hobbyists. The reality is, in my opinion, you DO need to make content that other people want to watch and it needs to always be at the front of your mind when making something BUT, big BUT, you also need to make sure it aligns with what you enjoy making.
