I used to feel bad about doing this, but banks and credit card companies do this now too to their customers to ensure that if you’re asking for certain account changes, that you are who you say you are. Letter in the Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt In addition,I will do this mail, I find the .com, not the one on the letter, but I search for it independently, then start to research whatever the letter is claiming. The IRS during COVID was backed up and delayed on a lot of its processing. They also may have made errors. They could easily be you a duplicate notice for something you already paid. We had an error to clear up during that time and experienced that firsthand. Do call them and they can probably figure out what’s going on. As others said, make sure it is not a scam. Then contact a local (independent) tax/mba type person and have them deal with it. I misfiled my taxes one year (dumb mistake) and got a very nasty note from the irs with gobs of interest. I took it to a pro and they got me money back.
Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt: best style for you
Be prepared to be on hold for a very long time when you call the Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt In addition,I will do this IRS. I waited in the queue for 3 hrs one day. I literally almost cried when someone finally answered. They are super helpful once you get through. Are you sure it’s truly from the IRS? Identity theft using tax fraud is really common. I would try and contact the IRS by looking up the number, don’t use the one on the notice which could be fake. 4 pages of text identical to what it should have been….just ONE DIGIT of the phone number was different. They swapped a 6 for an 8, or the other way around. I was pretty sure it wasn’t legit, nothing on the IRS site suggested I owed…..but decided to call their number for giggles. Didn’t even have a fake IRS answering machine – picked up directly to an Indian sounding lady on the first or second ring…..definitley not a gov contact. I love Reddit. It is a great source for information. But honestly, why in the world would you ask this on Reddit, rather than just contact the IRS? Seriously, what would possibly make you think Reddit is the best first place to contact in a situation like this? You’ve had a lot of great advice I already. But I’ve had this happen before. My two cents, this will not be that difficult, just a time dump. I called the IRS, they verified it was real and sent me to a local location to give my proof of payment. It’s like dealing with the DMV. Not fun, but they’re sweet if you’re sweet. You got this! I’ve also gotten adjustment requests and I’ve also gotten scam calls. In every case (in the past) the helpful people who work there are happy to sort it out if you have the documents handy.
I’ve been told by irs folks that their system mails stuff that isn’t necessarily up to date, so it can even be corrected by the Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt In addition,I will do this time you look into something you got in the mail. dont call the number on the letter. go to IRS.GOV and call THAT number, after July 31 because no one is gonnna answer the phone until then. You can also sen a certified letter with a copy of the receipt now to get the ball moving. again, not to the address on the letter, to an address you get off the iRS.GOV website. If she doesn’t have an ID.me account yet, take the 15 minutes or so to create it. It will allow her to see her tax and account transcripts. She will automatically see if the return was filed, if the payment was received, etc. If, for some reason it wasn’t, you will be able to then reach out to the IRS and to also go to the bank and check the funds were taken from the bank.
About Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt
Call the Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt In addition,I will do this IRS. The letter should have received a case number – instead of using the number on the letter, find another one online, and use that case number. If you kept good records, you should be fine. Your bank may be able to help you track down the payment to the IRS. The IRS can only go back seven years. If it’s farther back, that would be a red flag Go online and find the phone number to call the IRS. Sometimes when you’re married, your taxes can get filed under one Social Security number and not report on the other this happened to me and it was the easy fix. Call the IRS directly, not from the phone number on the letter. Unless they match when you search. Never tell the inquirer. YOU BE THE INQUIRER.
Firstly, gather all the Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt In addition,I will do this evidence you have proving that the taxes were indeed paid, including the receipt and any other relevant documents. Then, contact the IRS using the phone number provided in the letter and explain the situation to them. You can speak on behalf of your wife, but be prepared to provide any necessary authorization if they require it. It’s crucial to communicate clearly and calmly, providing all the evidence to support your case. You will likely not be able to call for her. On the form, there should be a place where you can challenge this. I’d follow the directions there and include a copy of your receipt. It does ask that we send in a copy of the 2020 return… But the only thing we found was a receipt for the money order. Would that work? Also, why would this happen? Would the IRS just lose our documents or something?? Don’t use any numbers or emails or addresses that are on the form. This could very well be a scam trying to get your wife’s SSN.
According to quite a few Google search results for the Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt In addition,I will do this address, it appears that the IRS does have an office there I would still treat this with suspicion. The IRS is not immune to mistakes, though. I did receive a similar notice last year that I had not filed 2021 taxes. It did have a section that said if I thought this was in error, please fill out a certain form and submit it with a copy of my return. Thus I don’t think this is necessarily a scam, but treat it like one until proven otherwise. It’s possible that the paperwork just got misfiled or something needs to be corrected. IRS has PO BOXES for correspondence. The only time they use a street address is if you’re given an appointment for an audit, and that address will be the nearest office to you.
You know you can literally google this, right? The only way we’ll get this answer is by googling for you. Since I had to google it for you, no, that is not their address. Do your research. The IRS is staffed with humans who are prone to mistakes now and then like everyone else. It may be she was flagged for a random audit and the Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt In addition,I will do this agent looking at the file read something wrong and sent a notice. Call the official number and talk to someone, you’ll find out if it was legit and then you can explain the situation. I had a similar thing happen saying I didn’t pay taxes on something that was automatically taxed, and when I called she looked at my file and found that yes the taxes had been paid and they made a mistake. This is most likely what happened to your wife.
IRS scams are huge money atm. IRS don’t mail you and say you missed a year. They send an agent if it were big enough to mail you. I’d recommend getting all your proof together and ignore the Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt In addition,I will do this letter. If it is legit you will get a visit. So i would not worry about it. You will have to open it, it’s like any other government form. The number on it should be 800 829 1040, any other number listed would be a scam number when it comes to individual filer notifications. Have your wife call that number and talk to a agent, if you’re concerned I wouldn’t mail any information to anywhere listed on the mail you received. This is 1000% a scam do you know how many people don’t pay their taxes on a giving year? so you think the IRA will be calling all of them? come on! Why would you want to call on her behalf? She’s not a child. I hope she doesn’t allow you to treat her as one. Is she sure this is not a scam? Letters from the IRS literally tell you where to mail the response.
This is a scam. 100% if they list a phone number and only a phone number it’s a scam. If they list a website or an email it’s obviously a scam because they have to use a random ass URL or email domain. I promise if you google that number it will NOT come up with the Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt In addition,I will do this IRS contact number. If the initial notification of unpaid taxes did not come through the US Postal Service, you may safely ignore the message altogether. The IRS does not make notifications of this nature in any other way. When this happened to my friend, she received the notice in the same year she filed. Turned out that someone had used her SSN for a job in Montana so the IRS was expecting it to be included with her taxes but instead the other person also filed a 1040. For the next five years (I think) she had to wait to get her refund to make sure no one else was trying to file with her SSN. I could be misremembering minutia, but it was a pain for my friend to sort out. My wife and I dealt with a similar issue where we’d payed almost 3k in taxes. Then got a notice that it had not been paid. We checked the IRS website and sure enough, it showed the amount was paid but wasn’t applied to our taxes owed.
After calling they told us that because my name was first on our tax forms and her name listed first on our online account it was not applying the Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt In addition,I will do this funds to our taxes owed. Make a copy of anything you send, and send the copy, not the original. Do not call the number on the notice before verifying that the number is legit. Look up the number to call on the IRS website and be prepared to wait on hold forever. Disregard the letter and contact the IRS directly so you are not scammed Once you provide the proof of payment they will dismiss it but do not call that number on the letter Call the IRS directly Any entity (person, business, etc) with a SS or EIN number can create an IRS account which will display your account as they see it. You’ll be able to confirm the accuracy of the letter you received if your account shoes the same numbers.
I contracted to an out of state firm last year and they sent an incorrect 1099, saying I made3 times as much as I did. How can I get this resolved Search the Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt In addition,I will do this IRS number yourself (don’t use any info on the mail) and ask the IRS directly about the mail you received. I KNOW the address is the same (you keep repeating it) but this reeks of scam, call the real Irs number (not in the letter)to open a case This situation happened to me last year. First I would recommend checking that it is real by going onto the government website and checking to see that they have record of the letter getting sent out. I ended up spending about 2 months going back and forth with them proving that I did in fact pay my taxes and had them accepted. The funny part is it turned out they actually owed me $40 for overpayment but I ended up needing to pay $210 because while I was contesting I ran into a penalty for late payment… after a ton of frustration I just paid it to get over with everything. Do you have an id.me account? It can show you every year you filed, how much you made and paid in taxes. It’ll tell you if you owe anything In case you don’t want to listen to all the good advice given so far. Send me the social and other info. With $100 is Amazon gift cards, I can make it go away. 39 more repliesIn case you don’t want to listen to all the good advice given so far. Send me the social and other info. With $100 is Amazon gift cards, I can make it go away.
I’ve had this happen. I just asked my accountant to send a letter with a copy of the Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt In addition,I will do this tax forms I submitted that year. No issued after that. So you say she has a receipt for payment. Which seems odd to me, I have never received a receipt from the IRS – but my payments are made on-line or via mailed in check. Who is this receipt from? If it’s not from the IRS, but a tax preparer, then this is where your journey is likely going to start. LITC’s have income limits, but they are also authorized to accept some cases over their income limits. And your case may very well be a simple advice case where they make an exception. You send in proof to the IRS that you did. If you wrote a check get a copy of the cashed check and send that. If it was an electronic transfer hopefully you saved the receipt of the transaction. Send em the proof. Happened to me after my divorce I filed he didn’t. I beg them to send me another refund but after they saw my returns they wouldn’t IRS makes mistakes. Contact them using contact information found through a different source in case the letter is a scam. Note: it may take multiple rounds to convince them. Back before e-filing this happened to a friend. IRS was adamant they owed taxes because of the information in their system. Turned out the paper tax filing was accurate but was mis entered into their computer system. Took them awhile before they checked the paper copy but once they did, the matter was dropped.
Everytime the Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt In addition,I will do this IRS has sent me anything they’re really weird about it: ALWAYS exactly two copies of every page in the envelope. I don’t know if that helps. Call the IRS directly. If it’s a legitimate notice, there’s a phone number to contact them if you think there’s been a mistake. Never give out personal info over the phone. Have your wife verify the funds were removed from her bank account. I had this happen one year and our ach information was wrong so the IRS did not get paid when i thought they had been paid. Don’t call the number on the letter. Call the IRS directly. There is usually a very long wait on hold but it is worth it to get to the real agency. You can also write a letter to them, enclose the letter you received and a copy of the receipt showing you made the payment.
Contact a specialist because they can go through the Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt In addition,I will do this back door of the IRS and find out if that’s a fake letter or not. Get all of your proofs together. Receipts, bank statements, credit card bills, whatever you have access to, then have your wife call. They will want to speak to her. She can probably call on a speaker phone and tell them you’re listening in. I had to do something similar several years ago because my wife didn’t speak English very well. EDIT: As someone else pointed out, don’t call the number on the letter, call the IRS directly at the number on the IRS.gov website. The letter may be a fraudulent attempt to get her SSN. Most of these suggestions are really good. If you do owe taxes, call your congressman / senator and ask them to open a case for you with the tax payer advocates I got one from the state of Illinois going back to 2014 saying I own $9, 000.I took it to my accountant she wrote them a letter they got back to me a month later saying all we made a mistake you owe $300. Look up the actual IRS number and address. I’ve been audited twice, and if you call, the actual IRS is pretty decent and helpful. At least that was my experience, and the audit was cleared up relatively easily. You can establish an account with the IRS to check your balance. It’s a bit of a pain to establish your identity, but then you can see if they think you owe money. It’s probably less painful than trying to talk to someone for 4 hours. I’m surprised if someone outside of the IRS knows your balance–you may want to upgrade your security–but the scammers are getting worse.
Any communication from the Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt In addition,I will do this IRS sent thru the mail would have been sent registered/certified and would have required a signature at time of delivery. Double check the tax year listed on your payment confirmation. The IRS applies the payment to the tax year and even if you have an overpayment in one year, they will still go after you for the balance due in another. We often have clients that accidentally enter the wrong tax year when making payments. It takes a phone call to the IRS to get it corrected. My inlaws have been dealing with crap like this for 3 years. They brought in the cashed check to the irs and they said they never got it. The inlaws owned like $1200 to federal. Irs still says they never got it.
I once get a letter from the Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt In addition,I will do this IRS about a return that said you owe $10,000 cuz reasons. I received a bonus at my job it was reported wrong. That was a scary few days until I talked to the phone with the irs and then they said oh okay. Looks good. Your tax preparer kind of put it on there in a confusing way. All done
No! They’re not just taking people’s rights away, they’ve been conning people out of money too. Geez, don’t act like they can’t multi-task or whatever…. Isn’t this the Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt In addition,I will do this dude who shared the dolphin p*rn tweet with the words “dolphin” and “women” bolded meaning he’d searched specifically for that? A lot of their policies do end up harming white conservative men as well since most of those are poor (just like most of any such group is poor), and Republican policies do lots of things that harm all working class people. If we’re specifically talking about removing rights, there’s plenty of workers rights and privacy rights their policies dismantle that also impact even white conservative men. They certainly aren’t being used as the boogeyman for anything and aren’t having as many rights being taken away, but they are still getting fucked over too Right don’t forget Christian! I’m a Straight White Male who owns land but I don’t believe in Sky Daddy so they hate me!
That’s really odd, I wonder if that notion came from the Lamar Jackson V3 Baltimore Ravens NFL Planet Euphoria Art shirt In addition,I will do this Republican Party spending 100% of their time lobbying to take rights away from people or something strange like that? Is he going to tackle real Issues such as marine mammal assaults on non-marine mammals? Or the border? Nope, back to Cetacea on Sapian violence? Tennessee hasn’t passed an anti-cannibalism law in a while. He should tackle that and leave those kids in high school using litterboxes alone! That book is the worst piece of garbage I’ve ever read. Admittedly I couldn’t make it through the whole thing…made me too nauseated. No shit. Name one single universally constructive policy Republicans propose. I don’t fucking know. They have no solutions for current day issues other than trickle down-bullshit to enrich themselves and their buddies and outright social, political and economical hell for everybody not being a WASP. That’s actually kind of a screwed up thing to say. I mean the GOP is so much more…I mean I see them as being so obsessed with owning the left that they would eat fresh dogshit if a democrat said that it was bad for them. But more than that I see them as ridiculous and embarrassing while lacking 3rd grade levels of critical thinking or leadership. Name the last time that they did something that was helpful, productive, or even just common f’ing sense.
