Absolutely. I had one good sweatshirt that I wore of Fridays. When you aren’t eating or dressing like the Kentavious Caldwell Pope Denver Nuggets Basketball Player T-Shirt Besides,I will do this others, you notice real quick. I might add: skipping school trips, oversized clothes from older siblings or second hand, old textbooks from the library, not being able to afford school cafeteria, etc. Recently I was talking with my mom and I told her: “We really were ahead of our times back then, eating vegetarian most days of the week”. She responded with a laughter: “We were just poor!”. I have family members raised in homes where 50k a month income was the norm–absolutly positive that they were poor and middle class. They have no clue, even into their 30’s–their wealth has SO insulated them, they STILL dont see poor people. They assume EVERYONE is living in a gated community, because that’s where they’ve always lived. Even their dorms were gated in college. They had no idea what their parents were paying. They’ve literally never step foot in a walmart, target, etc. They’ve got no idea.

I grew up in a coastal tourist town where a good chunk of the Kentavious Caldwell Pope Denver Nuggets Basketball Player T-Shirt Besides,I will do this locals were poor and so it was common for many of us to not have luxuries. I didn’t think much of the $10 basic cable, shopping at Ames, and hand me down video games from my cousins, and jalopy of a car. When you’re a kid, you just get used to your life and how you live and think it’s normal. Whether you lack a lot of stuff, or have too much stuff, it all feels normal to you. You only realize it isn’t normal when you are around other people who have different experiences and talking to each other you start to realize your experience is very different or if you see it on TV or something and see people who aren’t living the way you do being treated a certain way and people that live like you do being treated a different way.
