I didn’t support the Keep Calm It’s Ramadan Kareem Eid Mubarek Islam for Muslims T-Shirt and by the same token and BLM protests that shut down highways and those were only for a few hours. The ones that were incident free (the majority) were fine. The key thing being that they had multiple protests they didn’t just set up camp for a month. I’m not saying it’s a good thing or that I necessarily agree with it – but let’s not get our panties in a bunch over what should have been absolutely expected. If BLM protesters were receiving funds from foreign powers, you bet your ass they would be calling for more than frozen bank accounts. Anyone should have the right to protest. Just because you disagree with it doesn’t mean their protest is any less of a right. So if their cause was civil rights in the 50s and the government arrested them and froze their assets, still okay? Even if the majority of society were against them? You never know what side of History the protesters will be on. Better to be safe than sorry and make it a human right. So what if you don’t get you fucking Amazon purchases that week. Suffer a little. People protest in Canada ALL the fucking time. There’s a protest somewhere in Toronto pretty much every weekend. No one is freezing accounts of these protesters. The accounts being frozen now are a result of ties to obscene amounts of foreign funding behind the trucker convoy. Foreign parties – funding an occupation that wants the removal of a recently re-elected government.
