Yeah I remember in college people and friends got pizza delivered to their dorm or the Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt and I love this library. It’s not really that hard. A campus is basically like a small town. Honestly, thinking about it, I really disliked how restrictive high school was, although I get why it is restrictive. At my college you can get DoorDash, but they don’t come on campus. They wait at the service entrance/loading docks, you have to meet them for your food. It works for small institutions like ours but larger ones would be awful. Our dining option is closed on Fridays and during the summer semester so you either bring your lunch or have it delivered. It’s a workaround. No one in their right mind chooses DD over the cafe when it’s open though. They have pretty awesome food and it’s cheap as hell. I was the very first class to attend a new high school, so I never had upperclassmen. It was just us as freshmen and then the new classes were added each year until the school was full. They figured out a lot of rules and whatnot as we went, it was a unique situation for everybody. Few weeks into the first year a kid ordered Jimmy John’s delivery for lunch, no big deal and met the guy at the front door. Apparently it was a big deal for the administration, principal flipped a lid at the kid and and called a quick assembly at the end of that day to give us a speech about why that was unacceptable and can never happen again. weird how a principle would freak out about unknown adults sneaking onto campus to meet children. almost like the law says every single adult that interacts with students needs to be background checked
Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt: Get Cozy in this shirt
Nobody snuck on campus they pulled up to the Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt it is in the first place but front door which was very close to a widely trafficked public road and met a 15 year old, not some small child. That’s plenty old enough that they’re spending time without adult supervision in public sometimes outside of school hours. You don’t know what’s been delivered and put in those packages. It is a liability issue if things’ slip by like drugs, contraband’s etc. There weren’t any bag searches or anything like that to go to school each morning, if a kid wanted to smuggle contraband in they wouldn’t have needed to use a food delivery driver at lunch to do it School probably has next to no liability. But they want to control the environment for exactly the reasons you mentioned.
Yeah, some rando in an old beat up car wearing a trenchcoat, wandering around. “It’s ok for me to be here, I’m carrying a burrito!” At our school (which is probably just about the Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt it is in the first place but most secure school in the US for a couple of reasons), they just have to sit there and wait in their car at security like any other guest who is not expected. The kid has to walk out to the security booth and get the food. Many of the drivers just leave the food with the security. They are good guys who work well with kids. If I worked with them, they would have right to test the food for poison. If cafeterias are like they were back in the day, it makes sense they’d want an exclusivity deal on industrial waste disposal.
Some information about Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt
They’re so extreme we even have problems with it for alumni functions. A friend of mine…who is also a police chief got he drink taken away because he went from one event into another event on campus that was being serviced by a different division of the Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt it is in the first place but SAME PARENT COMPANY last year lol I worked for a company where most of their buildings had fancy coffee machines, but this one building was run by a catering company so no free coffee or tea for anyone, at best you had a cheap walmart $15 kettle to share. To make it worse is they of course did everything as cheap as possible, the milk and cream they would use for the coffee and tea was spoiled half the time. I would almost always had to get it re-done because of shit floating in it.
Because of the Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt it is in the first place but location for me to go anywhere else, I would have to walk out a single door that only one person can use at a time, walk across the parking lot to my car, drive to a place, order, wait for it, come back, park, and walk in through a single person door and be back at my desk in 30 minutes or less. Another company i was at, had a small Chinese shopping center on the other side of the parking lot, lots of cheap baked goods, or slightly more expensive hot counters. Still cheaper then the cafeteria onsite and more tasty. One day a fence went up forcing people to walk around which made it into an extra 5 minute walk each way which is a 1/3rd of our lunch time. I wouldn’t be surprised if the catering company was behind it
I went to my highschool to pick up my diploma like a few years later just from administration and was ushered out the Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt it is in the first place but door and told it would be in the mail, it was but idk what happened the first time and they weren’t answering my calls so it was kinda necessary. A lot of the schools near where I live have just a straight up like plastic table or bin right in the front entrance of the school where delivery drivers drop food and then it’s up to the kid to make their way up there and pick it up This seems to be a pretty good system and I’ve never had a kid accuse me of not leaving their food or something It’s a policy and PR concern. McDonald’s got a lot of shit for obesity. They just didn’t want them ploughing unhealthy food into kids at school to be a headline or something a politician capitalises on It’s the same reason they got rid of their playplace, happy meals, clown (RonaldMcdonald) etc. Luring in kids with toys and gimmicks is fucked up for a business that is responsible for an obesity epidemic the likes of which have never been seen in history. It’s not something they chose to stop doing out of some good gesture of faith, no. These disgusting practices were put to rest by governmental policies to stop fast food marketing to children.
Still they exist inside childrens hospitals and school campuses. Still they build directly across the Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt it is in the first place but street from every school and bus stop. Still their ads are targeted towards poor people and they are located in low income areas. Mcdonalds will always be the soulless megacorporation fast food giant that creates it’s own customers through force. Oh shit. Is this why fast food chains have become way more office-y looking? I remember being a kid and seeing all the bright colors and the stuff for kids. Now they’re just bland. Get your food and get out. That’s more a consecuence of the “Corpo-Minimalism” aesthetic trend that started during the late 2000’s. Basically, people (specially older millenials which were starting to get a position in the work-force) didn’t want to take their meals in a “children’s box”, and the rising popularity of Chipotle, Starbucks, and Panera, with their more “pragmatical, modern, tidy and minimalist” approach, were a proof of that. That’s why not only McDonald changed the visual design of their restaurants, but also renovated its menu, adding things like “Deluxe” and “Signature” line, salads and grilled chicken, the McCafé stations, I think they expanded their breakfast options as well.
Among other changes, they also started to add Wi-Fi and more electrical conections to every restaurant during that era, so they could attract the Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt it is in the first place but “office people” and keep them as clients. Since then, McDonalds wasn’t a place to go “when you are broke” or to “distract your kid”, but now a genuine place to grab your lunch for office or even have small meetings during business hours. And while those changes seemed the take the “magic” from the brand, I would dare to say that the picture of the “golden arches” alonside a modern building with a beautiful sunset in the background, or those same arches standing out from the grey glob that surrounds them in urban spaces is becoming just as iconic as the pictures of the 90’s family friend McDonalds. Well, partly that yes, but also to appeal to a broader audience. They want kids, but they want everyone to eat there, and clown statues and playgrounds might not be ideal to attract older folks.
Nowhere. The revenue per sq ft of the Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt it is in the first place but play areas is dogshit compared to regular tables, so most McDonalds operators have decided to no longer have them. But that’s a money decision, not some “we can’t market to kids” horseshit. The play places have mostly disappeared. Still one or two around by me tho. Happy meals with toys are still everywhere from what I’ve seen. You can ask for a toddler toy but I’ve never seen a book unless it was part of a promotion. Chick Filet however often has books I do not see how McDonalds is responsible for the obesity epidemic. Maybe they contribute a bit but all of the fat people in America are not due to McDonalds. Blame the parents for not feeding their children better.
Super Size Me did a good job with it’s hit job despite being untruthful. Most people watched it and believed it or just heard about the Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt it is in the first place but results. The amounts of calories the movie claims he ate is impossible according to the rules he laid out and the exact food eaten has never been revealed. All the health issues that he suffered can be explained by his alcoholism which the movie doesn’t reveal. It’s just about equally both. We, as a whole, dropped the ball on this one. It was a systematic failure. They’re responsible for the wide-spread issue, the parent’s are responsible for the individual children. A lot of parents will take the easy way out, give the kid what they want so they’re happy and not being annoying. That’s why it was called a Happy Meal. The advertisers understand human psychology and they play that against us. We didn’t even know there was a war while they were already destroying us, they were 5 steps ahead. Had there not been a conscious effort to market to children and low income areas, which were basically their prime audience for a long time, I wouldn’t be putting the blame on the company. If it were just a thing that existed that parents decided to give to their kids it would be all on the parents. But they were lied to and tricked by the company and their advertising practices. I want to reiterate that none of that means the parents are absolved, they’re part of “as a whole.” But healthy eating wasn’t something that was understood by the general public back in the 90s and early 2000s so it’s hard to really put the blame there. Hell the food pyramid we were all sold had the largest section entirely paid for by the dairy industry. We know now, sure, but hindsight can’t traverse time in that way.
Agreed. McDonalds is a little piece of the Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt it is in the first place but puzzle, but they alone aren’t responsible. It’s the whole culture of unhealthy, processed food that’s the problem, not one individual seller of it. Responsibility is never placed on the consumers for their choices; only for the suppliers for offering it. Doing so deflects any internally-focused emotions of guilt or regret and points them outwards as anger. Plus, parenthood is sacred, and questioning ones’ competency at it is considered exceptionally rude, no matter how true the criticism may be, nor the dire consequences that result from said incompetency. They are dealing with personal boundary issues. In psychology the personal boundary represents two things. It represents the inalienable rights of the individual as well as his limitations. Those who want outside control ask for it because they themselves have poor personal boundaries. When they drive past a McDonald’s, just the fact they saw it with their eyes, they have to stop. Just like little children, who are constantly controlled by their outside environment. Because of this immature position these people then want someone else to take control through restriction. While doing this they fail to consider the rights of others, hence their personal boundary issue. The idea for them is they want to be able to have their cake and eat it too. They want to be able to eat McDonald’s whenever they feel the urge, but they want it in such a way where the consequences won’t exist.
Just goes to show you that no matter what, businesses will find ways to continue in business. That’s why people simply need to make their own decisions individually. McDonald’s doesn’t have the Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt it is in the first place but power to hurt me, I have to grant them that power. lol there’s a McDonald’s on the first available lot off campus at my school. Right by the parking buildings only exit! Yeah they ruined McDonald’s just because they hate the idea of individuals making their own decisions. These people are authoritarian and want an outside governing body to make your decisions for you. I rarely consume fast food and constantly remind people how bad it is, but even I am going to recognize that you cannot fix a problem by pushing businesses to change their ways. Every parent has the choice of whether or not to take their kids to McDonald’s. When I was a kid we rarely went and it was not an issue, when we did get to go it was a treat. I do agree on the empty gesture of good faith by the way. Which is exactly why this method of solving the obesity epidemic does not work. You can restrict all you want, people are going to seek out unhealthy food if that’s what they have decided on.
But when you give school lunches with vegetables and chicken nuggets, the Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt it is in the first place but kids throw the vegetables out and just eat the nuggies… You know I very rarely eat fast food and I for the most part speak against it because of how healthy it is. But one thing they really gets on my nerves is how people act like any company is “forcing” their unhealthy food onto them and then demand that either the government or company do something about it. I guarantee that McDonald’s has zero power to put anything into my mouth unless I choose to eat it. It’s just sad because these sort of people are always on the war path looking to do battle with whoever they can. That’s why when you go into a McDonald’s they look so depressing and drab. No more loud colors and interesting designs, because it’s too tempting to the children. Every individual has the power to make their own decisions and others should stay out of it.
It never occured to me that students could get doordash delivered to them while in school. College sure but highschool? They can’t in US high schools typically. At least, not directly to the Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt it is in the first place but school. Letting random people onto the grounds to wander around is a big no-no and schools like having a captive consumer base for their cafeterias. I’m sure drivers would have zero interest in navigating a large campus and hunting down where to deliver it to for no tip even if it was allowed. From what I’ve heard about the food schools serve children in American cafeterias, that’s not so much a priority. Yes they can… When I was in high school we’d have pizza days in some classes. My friends wife is a teacher and she regularly has large quantities of Chick-fil-A, pizza, or some other restaurant delivered. It’s so frequent that it’s a running joke that he lets her work for free so she doesn’t have time to cheat on him. But yeah they just got to go to the main office and then a campus staff member (the guys driving the golf carts catching skippers) will deliver it Teachers could, yes. I’m talking about kids ordering things for themselves, though. That’s typically not something schools allow to happen. Not sure if the school even knew what we were doing because we didn’t ask permission, but it was far better than the bullshit they were serving in the cafeteria.
I graduated in 2019 and occasionally I’d successfully get a pizza into school. As long as the Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt it is in the first place but driver buzzed in and gave it to the office first they had no issues. It was completely allowed in high school for me in 2005. It was a perk as a senior to go out for lunch, actually, but you had to be a good student if I recall. yeah same for me in 2010 but we would just leave to grab it but having it delivered is strange to me like do they have designated spots in the front office for food dropoffs? I get Foodora/Uber eats to my high school on a regular basis (Sweden). It’s never been an issue. I’m a teacher, we regularly get lunches for the entire team. I don’t see students ordering as much, but they get lunch for free at school.
My school (not in the Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt it is in the first place but US) didn’t officially allow it, but on the other hand how were they meant to stop us? It wasn’t so common that there was a queue of bikes outside and neither the student nor the rider had to exit or enter the school. I imagine high schools want to avoid adult strangers coming around interacting with minors. If the food is left with the office, it’s now their job to complete the delivery which is not in the job description. In the US, K-12 schools are pretty restricted in terms of entry and access. They can also be pretty massive campus. Sure the address might be 111 Main Street, but when the building is 1 million square feet on a 50 acre plot of land, where does the delivery driver even need to go to? That’s even worse on college campuses, which basically become their own self-contained towns. One college campus in my state is nearly 2,000 acres, and it isn’t even the largest college campus in the state!
Also delivery demand on a college campus might be minimal as they often have their own businesses, food halls, etc… They may even have a McDonalds or other fast food on site. When I was visiting El Paso and walked into the Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt it is in the first place but University of Texas campus there, they had a Chik Fil A on site. And honestly until COVID, no one would ever think of having fast food delivered. Its meant for pickup and dine-in. Traditionally the only delivery options have been pizza and Chinese food. I’m not sure where you’re getting this stuff from but college campuses absolutely have deliveries made to them and people regularly got food delivered to them before COVID that wasn’t pizza or Chinese food. When i lived in the dorms, people would get food delivered constantly since the dorms weren’t beside the parking lots and only a few places were within decent walking distance. Now, if you mean the restaurant specifically doing it, then sure, but there were third party services doing it well before COVID. Hell, Uber Eats started in 2014.
My college only allowed certain delivery places that were entered into their system. i.e. only places where you can spend money from your student account. They claimed it was to cut down on illicit deliveries and they could backtrack who delivered what. Prior to covid, fast food was absolutely delivered. I remember it being the Kansas City Chiefs Back To Back To Back 2025 Afc Champions Shirt it is in the first place but hangover strategy in college back when the apps first started really taking off, our town had its own version of grub hub, and being a small college town, 90% of our options were just fast food. McDonalds also has had its own independent delivery service in my current city since at least 2015, as I ordered it for my girls for breakfast post-bachelorette. I’m sure there was some amount of delivery out there. Most McDs are franchised and franchse owners are free to offer additional services in their areas. but in the “old” day sof 2010 and before, it just wasn’t very common in most of the US. If you wanted delivery, your options were:
