There’s no real winning that argument for any rapper, but especially for him as a white person who does traditionally black music. Even if he did think he was the JT Daniels T-shirt But I will love this greatest rapper of all time, he’d be an idiot to say it out loud bc he’d alienate the black people within the African American rap culture that tolerated him. I’m not sure MC Hammer or Vanilla Ice would be considered some of the greatest rappers of all time, but they’ve sold a lot of records on par with those who are considered some of the greats. Also, at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter who claims to the best in any field of art. It’s really public opinion that determines that in art. I always wondered what it would be like growing up with Elvis or the Beatles. I grew up with Eminem and didn’t even realize what was going on. I didn’t grow up with Elvis or the Beatles, but I did live through Michael Jackson’s peak and it was truly a thing to behold. No matter where you went, you could not escape his influence. Wether it was the none stop playing of his music on the radio and TV, people wearing his jacket and/or glove, or any number of homemade pins, hats or shirts. It was crazy. I’m from the Detroit area and Eminem is big here, but he doesn’t hold a candle to the kind of mania of the big superstars of the past. We just have too much media now. We were very limited in the 80’s and it was even worse in the time of Elvis and The Beatles. We will likely never see that kind of insanity again. “You can’t hate Eminem.
