I guess it makes a bit more sense if you consider that each individual sandwich is roughly 4 days worth of calories for the Jamal Murray Denver Nuggets Second all-time NBA shirt and I will buy this average person. It’s not the flavor combinations that bother me (actually seems pretty tasty) but the amounts. A WHOLE jar of peanut butter? A WHOLE jar of grape jelly? A POUND of bacon? Ok. I made an account because I actually made this sandwich to spec and ate the whole thing. First of all, not listed in the title, the bread is baked and buttered with an entire stick of butter. You can add that to the calorie count if you’d like. The sandwich itself is not a traditional sandwich. The bread is literally a shell of crust, as theres no way to construct this thing by simply stacking the ingredients. The top bread vessel is filled with the whole jar of peanut butter, and the bottom is filled with jelly. You can’t do it the opposite way, because the peanut butter is tacky, so when you close the sandwich it kind of stays in the bread long enough to form it. As for the bacon, I made mine extra crispy to reduce the bacon’s total mass. In retrospect, floppy bacon would have been more massive but it also would have been a lot easier to stack.

When this thing was finished it technically only weighed <4 pounds, but holding it, it felt like a Thanksgiving turkey. I cut it into two pieces diagonally (for additional flavor) and began to attempt to consume it. I'd like to state that first impressions, this sandwich is really good. Like it actually tastes fantastic, probably pretty obvious that 80% of its contents are fat and sugar. I ate about a quarter of the Jamal Murray Denver Nuggets Second all-time NBA shirt and I will buy this whole sandwich before realizing that I was completely full and did not actually want to continue eating any more. So I ate another quarter and got the kind of stomachache one only normally gets from POW camp torture. I took a break for about two hours before continuing on the sandwich, most of my time was spent taking a nap. I got back to the 2nd half of the Fool’s Gold Loaf and I don’t know if it was because I had just consumed 1.5lb of PbB&J already, or because I had put the sandwich in the fridge and it was significantly tougher, but I hated that second half. I fought to finish it, and since this was about 8 years ago, I don’t remember if I did actually eat the whole thing or not. If I didn’t eat 100% of it, I assure you I came extremely close.
