So when he was shooting the Star Wars prequels, he was partnered with Sony to develop early digital cine cameras and Star Wars Episode 2 was the first big Hollywood blockbuster to be shot entirely digitally. These days 90% of films are shot with digital cameras and they can trace that directly to George Lucas.
