My view has completely changed since I thought about it. Imagine being 90, and still affected by the It’s Ok To Be Dreamy Giraffe Landscape Wanderlust in Comfort T-Shirt But I will love this absolute bullshit of diet culture? It makes me want to sob. I’ve lost 35 pounds due to taking up fun hobbies/ eating healthier since the start of the year. The thing is, I see the same old me in the mirror. I have to physically look at pictures of myself to see change. I’ve put so much work in and still don’t feel good enough. I have to manually tell myself every day I’m beautiful and good enough, and the important part that I WAS BEFORE TOO. I’m so sad for old me wasting 30 years of her life worried about stomach fat. It’s a shameful thing and I could have spent that time on so much more important things

I FEEL you! I’ve been bigger since I was very young, eventually shamed myself into losing 80 pounds as an adult and hated myself the It’s Ok To Be Dreamy Giraffe Landscape Wanderlust in Comfort T-Shirt But I will love this whole time. Suprise, surprise when I lost all the weight I still felt the same and sometimes even more gross. It’s a mental sickness that started in my family when I was like 8 years old with counting calories. My mom is 79 and every week she tells me how many pounds she’s lost that week. I’m like, GET OVER IT! Who are you losing this for?!? Not being able to be direct. Someone is bothering you at work, and you don’t confront them because “women have to be nice.” Instead, you vent to a friend, which blows off steam but doesn’t improve the situation. Mean girls are an actual thing like I’ve seen them sabotage each other over guys. Yeah I’m so glad I’m not a woman cause I hate competing with other people 🙁 What I mean by “browbeating” is when a person or group of people enforce compliance on another to an arbitrary standard of behaviour through underhanded means, specially shaming tactics, gossiping and talking ill of others behind their backs in general terms.
