It was a scary experience. On the same day, I searched for a yoga studio hoping someone can help me with what I was going through, luckily, there was this reiki master who was available at that time to see me. She did reiki to me and it was unbelievable, all of my physical and psychological symptoms dissipated after just one session, it was a nice comforting and warm energy. I asked her what could have caused those intense feelings after doing meditation and she mentioned I was not “grounded” she taught me how to ground myself and to do this when meditating, and that I need to visualize myself grounded and connected to the earth, whenever I meditate, I dont experience those intense energies anymore since I learned the importance of grounding. I think the results speak for themselves and as you find out more and more about meditation you’ll see that it’s a really enjoyable experience that the intensity of concentration over time allows. When I miss meditating I don’t blame myself or feel shame, (after all why increase suffering in the world?) instead I just know that I missed something important, like drinking more water or eating properly. The word placebo down plays your experiences.
